Donna jumped backwards as blue flame created a long burning barrier in front of her. She turned and ran towards the tree just in time to catch her son. Luny tossed nuts at Reiko beofre hopping onto Donna's shoulders. Donna narrowed strangely green-gold eyes at both Reiko and Kazuya before easily slipping out of sight, barely holding back her anger.

Reiko skidded back fast evading the attack. "Earth bender hm.." Said Reiko with a frown. "Please Donna I'm begging you. Take Raven and run. You're no match for her." Said Kazuya.

Donna was completely still, her face and eyes unreadable. Raven edged around behind here, and then scaled a tree with Luny, knowing that he needed to get away. Far, far away. "You..... idiotic..... girl!" Donna's hands tightened into fists at her sides. "You have no idea who you just tried to attack. His father was the most powerful fire bender. And he is my son!" Even with the slight movememnt of her right foot, a spike shoved upwards right under the offender. "My son!"

Kazuya just blinked as Luny curled around his neck. He suddenly sneezed loudly and sniffled rubbing his nose. "It's fine let him be." Said Kazuya as they approached the next village in the valley. Kazuya suddenly tackled both Donna and Raven down to the ground as a jet of flame shot over their heads. "Ah!" Kazuya cried as his back got scorched. "Tch weak." Said a voice. Kazuya stood up fast as a woman approached them. "Reiko..." Said Kazuya. "Useless pathetic unworthy traitor!" Said Reiko. "Both you run now." Said Kazuya to Donna and Raven. He pulled Luny off his neck and handed him over to Raven. Reiko shot flame at the boy and Kazuya quickly got in front of Raven deflecting it. "You dare to attack an innocent child! That was out of line!" Yelled Kazuya. "Yeah well I'm not the traitor like you are!" Reiko yelled back. "This war is wrong! I refuse to take part in such a thing that hurts others well being!" Said Kazuya.

Raven and Luny laughed, but both were silences by a stern, reproving look from Donna. "Sorry...." Raven muttered, looking away from both his mother and Kazuya. Luny screetched and jumped off of Raven's head, gliding over to land on Kazuya's head. "Luny! Get back here." The lemur made a face at Donna, and curled itself around it's new 'victim's' neck loosely.

Kazuya looked confused but just shrugged it off. He suddenly tripped on a tree branch and caught himself right before he fell face first onto the ground. "Watch out for hidden branches." Said Kazuya as he straightened himself out.

Luny was now sitting on top of Raven's head, and Raven was now perched on Donna's shoulders. Raven suddenly tapped his mother on the head. "Remember the last time Daddy was around here? They almost hurt him real bad." Donna glanced at Kazuya, then shook her head. "It'll be fine."

"I take that as a yes." Said Kazuya with a smile as he swung his sack over his shoulder. "Let's move out then shall we?" He said with a smile as he started walking with them. The next hour was peaceful as they traveled through the forest in the small valley. Kazuya was mainly following the trail he memorized on the map as he led the two. "We're not too far off you two. We're just about there." Said Kazuya.

Raven came around the corner, the kowlin limping after him. Donna stood to her feet and waited for the two to get close before she knelt down and examined the kowlin's right side. "What dd your Daddy used to tell you?" Raven looked confused for a second. "That fire is the reflection of the soul." Donna nodded, lightly pressing her fingers against the beast's singed side. "And what else?" Raven looked at the ground and shifted slightly on his feet. "That you have to be careful with your emotions, because a simple spark could turn into a wildfire." Donna pat the kowlin on the head and it went inside. Then she turned to her son. "Alright. Why did you get mad?" Raven shook his head and looked off to the side. "I wasn't mad at him.... This girl tried to kill the kowlin." Donna sighed and shook her head. "Luny!" The lemur appeared and rested on her shoulder. Placing her hand on her special-made lock, she locked the doors. "You want to go somewhere, Luny?" The lemur moved and laid down across her shoulders, its tail wrapping around her neck, causing Donna to smile.

Kazuya suddenly appeared fully dressed with his hair actually tied back this time. Smiling at her he said, "Well I'm off I should be back by sunset. You sure and Raven don't want to come along?"

Raven told off the lemur and then let it go to roam through the village, while he went back inside and to his room to check on the kowlin that had taken residence on top of a bookshelf. Donna sat out back, slowly shaping a piece of black marble into a figurine of a kowlin. As the sun emerged from behing a cloud, she tilted her head back and closed her eyes. But the figurine still shaped itself, though she wasn't concentrating on it at the moment. After a minute, she spotted Luny and she snatched up the lemur before it could get away. "Raven told me what you did Luny.... That wasn't very nice. You know stealing those kinds of things is very, very bad. If you don't stop, you'll get into some really big trouble...."

Kazuya sighed and threw the blankets off and sat up. It was then he noticed his journal was missing. Looking outside he saw that blasted lemur had snagged it. He hopped out the window fast and chased after the critter with Raven. Getting his journal back he just placed Luny in Raven's arms and walked back inside without a word.

Luny popped into the room again and grabbed at the covers, trying to yank them away. Raven ran in and grabbed the lemur. "No, Luny. You don' mess with peple like that!" Turning he left the room, passing by Donna. Donna stood in the doorway to Kazuya's room, and just stared, her arms crssed over her chest. "Don'y you think you should be up? Unless you leave now, who knows when you'll be able to get back to the village." "Luny!" Rolling her eyes, she turned and went back outside to watch Raven chase the lemur in circles.

Kazuya lifted his head up when he felt something bounce off him. Seeing Raven and Donna he smiled and muttered, "Morning..." He then yanked the blanket over his head attempting to go back to sleep.

The door creaks open and a mostly-black lemur bounded into the room and up onto the window sill. It looked at Kazuya, and then swung the window wide-open before dropping down into a tree. "Luny!" Raven ran past the open door and outside, chasing after the lemur. Donna walked after her son. "Raven! Slow down." She was dressed in an emerald-green dress that reached to right below her knees. Around her waist was a wide belt made out of a black marble, matching bracers on her forearms.

Kazuya blinked confused but just wandered back to the room he had been given and flopped on his bed lighting the lantern by him with a small spark. He then spent most the night writing in his journal before finally dozing off.

The next morning came and Kazuya's eyes opened when the sun shone on them. Rolling over he yawned loudly and closed his eyes not wanting to get up just yet.

She stopped and turned to face him, her arms crossed over her chest. "His name is Raven, okay?" A faint smile flashed across her lips. "He hates it when people call him boy. He says he's too grown up. Anyways, we both need our rest for now. It's been an.... eventful day for us both." She turned back and walked to int the farthest room of the big house, shutting the door ad locking it. The mechanism could only be used by her.

" I wanted to know if you wanted to come. You could bring the boy. But if you don't want to suit yourself." Said Kazuya as he walked inside after her.

Donna pat the boy on the head as they stood up. "Go to bed, Raven. It's well past time for you to be in bed." The young boy, practically a clone of his father, looked at Kazuya, then ran off inside. Donna brushed herself off and shrugged just as the kowlin walked up beside her. "Do what you want. We can't stop you. Come on." She said to the kowlin as she scratched it behind its ears, and then the two went off inside.

The door behind them opened and Kazuya came walking out. Stopping by them he said, "I'm going out for a bit tomorrow. I found a useful map and found there's multiple little communities among this valley. I want to go check some of the other villages out. Just thought I'd give you a heads up before you came and found me gone before sunrise tomorrow. I'll be back here though."

Donna sat outside with the raven-haired boy. "I bet it was pretty." The boy turned and looked up at Donna, looking at her with a weird confused look on his face. "Why do you sound so sad?" Donna shrugged and looked up into the sky, looking at the stars. The boy followed her gaze, and then sat down on her lap. "Maybe he's up there. Maybe he really isn't gone." Donna blinked, suprized how deep the young boy sounded with such simple words. She put her arms around his soulders and smiling a little. "I think your daddy is watching...."

Later that night Kazuya had been given a guest room and lay in bed staring at the moon with was completely full. Many thoughts ran through his head. Reaching into his shirt he pulled out a necklace and looked at the blood red stone and sighed softly wondering how worried his mother was about him.

After a few minutes, the kowlin approached Kazuya. It stared at him and then turned, flicking its tail and then trotting off towards one of the bigger homes in the village. Donna stood right outside the door, a young raven-haired boy, around five years old, tugging on her sleeve. "I did it!" Donna knelt down and placed her hand on the boy's head, smiling a little as she ruffled his hair. "That's good. Was it red and orange?" The boy shook his head and hugged Donna. "No. It was blue. A really pretty blue. Like Daddy's."

"Because I came to your village even though I knew my father's men would find me. And Bella lost something dear and precious because of that.." Said Kazuya softly as his head lowered.

Lin Yi ran up once they had entered the village and she took the falcon from Donna and walked away. Donna stayed right where she was standing, and the kowlin stopped beside her, nosing Donna's right hand. Knealing down, donna scratched the beast behind its ears, her face slowly returning to normal. She glanced out of the corner of her eyes at the stranger. "Why would this be your fault? Ren wanted to help you, so.... It's not your fault." Standing back up, she follwed after Lin Yi.
