Maybe somewhere in her mind, Reisen had connected the dots and realized what Taki was implying. However, the possibility was too vague even for her to think about. Taki, like her? Alright, Reisen just knew she wasn't even close to Taki's type. She got out the silverware and set it down on the table, sitting down in the seat across from Taki. She took one bite and gave a sigh. "It's a shame men have to be so confusing, hm?" she asked.

Reisen gave a light sigh as she continued to care for the meal. "She who hesitates is lost, you know..." she quoted, turning the chicken breasts around and rolling them in the butter. "Whoever it is you like so much... does he even know you exist? Because the first thing to do is to get your foot in the door." she suggested, not knowing she was the person Taki had set her sights on. "Complicated? You? Even in the third grade you've been the type of person to act first and ask questions later. It was one of the reasons my parents liked you so much, you know? Said I needed to learn some self-confidence from you." she finished, turning off the stove. "All right, dinner's ready."

"Wha...-" was all Reisen managed to get out, blushing as Taki saw what they saw, before a sudden feeling in - no, on - her chest caused her to jump in shock. Her ears lowered in disbelief, quivering once as the sensation moved down to her sides. Suddenly there was a light feeling, and unable to help herself, Reisen burst out laughing, flailing around desperately, trying to keep in control of her hands so that the berries wouldn't go flying off.

Taki left Reisen gasping for breath. "Th-they're all jerks..." she replied bitterly. "I'm a human with bunny ears, not somebody's Playboy bunny." She was serious too. Every boy she had seen had at one point or another compared her a bunny girl, some even going as far as to give her the outfit and try to coerce her to put it on. "But what about you? I mean, there's lots of rocker guys out there who would kill to have a girl who knew all about the genre like you..." she stated, trying desperately to get the subject off of herself.

(Reisen never clipped the bush. Not yet anyway. She just made a mental note to get it cut whenever she had the time.)

Reisen sighed. "I was on the right track ever since I saw the guitar, I just didn't have anything solid. But you're right, times were great back then, not having to worry about taking romance seriously and all that. Of course everything continued to pick up for me even after you left; I've felt more accepted, somewhat at least. At the very least no one here wants to hurt me anymore; problem is, everyone's trying to relate me to Playboy..." she admitted, blushing, as she turned around to face Taki. "It's not meant to be used in that manner, but you make a good point, just as long as the mixture doesn't nullify the effects." she replied, turning back around and bending over to pick a few more berries.

"All right." she replied, putting the last few strawberries in her basket before standing up. "Let's go." At this, she began to run back toward the house. Being part bunny did have its perks; the first one being that Reisen was fast. Though, she had to hold back so that Taki could keep up. So, they just barely made it home when the thunder hit and the sky opened up. "I was planning on cooking the chicken breast in the berry juice, then chopping up some of these strawberries and serving them all together." she replied, heading over to the sink to wash the fruit.

Reisen gave a light blush as Taki suggested the notion of entering the culinary arts. "Actually..." she started. "...I had never thought about anything like that. For me, it was just cooking so I wouldn't have to starve, you know?" she asked rhetorically, as the cold wind caused her ears to lower to the sides of her head. "But it's picking up. The first sign of rain is going to hit us in seven minutes, then it's all going to go downhill from there. Let's get this done quickly..." she said, picking up a small plastic ice cream container and picking the berries. As she picked, she looked up to see a small bush with bright red berries on it. And I'm going to have to cut you down, don't want to have to deal with anything poisonous in my own garden... she thought to herself, deciding not to attract Taki to the plant. "Though, you don't have to keep on giving all these hints... I'm certain now, you're the same girl I met in the third grade." she stated, smiling, thinking nothing of it.

The poison wasn't fatal to humans, but it was still something that wasn't safe to eat. The symptoms of the poison were that the victim felt cold, his or her palms started to sweat, and then their movement just shut down, though they were still conscious and could talk, they were helpless to move their arms or legs. The poison lasted for about 6-8 hours, depending on the size, gender, age, and other variables of the victim. Hopefully Taki knew all this, especially since Reisen had warned her back in the third grade when they went to go pick some berries together.

(Take it or leave it, Taki. I know the berries I'm trying to describe are normally fatal if ingested, but I have to give Taki a chance to use this scene to her... erm, advantage.)

"Ten minutes, then." Reisen stated decisively. "Then we should get back here to finish up the food. And actually, I've been trying to garden blackberries, mint, some huckleberry, all with a reasonable amount of success. At the very least I've been able to eat in the evenings..." she replied, smiling. "And, there is something I'd like to show you in the forest, though we may not have the time given the food still in the oven." she apologized, turning sharply to the right to unveil a small clearing where numerous berries were growing.
