Harry nodded his head to him as he thought about it. "that would be perfect' he stated to him as he rather not wait to long for anyone else to get any ideas seeing as he was really wanting to do this. Something about doing it though it was against the rules just made it all that much more exciting for him he wasn't sure why just yet but he rather not really think to hard on the matter.

Draco grinned and leaned in closer to Harry a bit. This didn't serve to help Pansy's jealousy at all. "I was thinking the same thing. How about we go right after the feast, see what we can find?" Draco was inwardly excited. He would eventually be getting to spend time with Harry alone.

Harry looked to her with a smile though as she turned to look towards draco he felt something come over him that wanted to push the girl away. She seemed to be eying draco in a way he didn't like. "Well I think we should go soon before someone else does it" he stated to him with a smirk as he wanted to be the first to know to get the credit of finding it all out.

Harry nodded his head as he really did want to go and do that with him. Though as pansy tuned in wanting to come he wasn't all that sure he wanted her to come. "Nah to many people might just call attention to us" he stated to her with a smile still being rather nice to her yet he didn't want her about. He was enjoying how it was just him and draco so he wasn't going to push it.

Draco turned to Harry, shrugging his shoulders. "I honestly have no idea, but if its so important that the corridor is forbidden to us, makes me want to find out what it is." he said with a small grin. Pansy seemed to -overhear- their conversation and smiled. "Are you guys talking about the third floor corridor? If you're going can I come too?" Draco inwardly groaned. Not that he didn't have a problem with Pansy, he just didn't like her. It was the same with most girls, which had disappointed his mother greatly, as he knew she wanted him to marry and have a family some day. He looked over at Harry. Draco didn't want her to come, but if Harry said yes, he'd deal with it.

Harry gave a smile as he looked over to all those that were speaking with him. He was happy to meet them all. He couldn't help but enjoy this. He felt so much better here. He was grateful that he had been placed here. Though as he turned his attention to the speech and heard everything that was said he thought. "Wonder whats there so forbidden that we can't go there" he stated as he just didn't know what he should really think about it as he just couldn't help but want to know. "What would you think?" he asked Draco as he just couldn't help but want this.

"That they did. Welcome to Slytherin," Draco said with a light grin.

"Hi, Harry," a cheerful, plump looking girl said as she sat on Draco's other side, a hand resting surprisingly on his knee. "I'm Pansy Parkinson. I just know you'll enjoy being in Slytherin."

A few others introduced themselves. Blaise Zabini, Daphnee Greengrass, and Millicent Bullstrode. The girls were especially happy that Harry had been sorted into Slytherin, and Draco rolled his eyes, looking down towards the hand on his knee. How he wished it wasn't there.

The Headmaster Dumbledore was supposed to deliver his speech next, and after the Sorting finished, Dumbledore started to speak. Some students weren't really listening, one of those students being Draco. Sure, he stared at the man, merely pretending to of course. He did overhear him saying something about the third floor corridors being forbidden, and frowned.

"What's that about?" Blaise asked. Another student, a few years ahead of them, Marcus Flint who was also a prefect, shrugged his shoulders.

"I wasn't told about this," Marcus said. "And I know if I haven't, none of the prefects in the other houses were told either. Strange, really..."

Draco grew curious. Usually when he was told something was forbidden, he wanted to go see what it was for himself. This was no different.

Harry really wasn't sure what the big deal was though as he stood there heading towards draco he watched all either shout in joy or gasp in horror he wasn't sure which he was happy about but he didn't really care to figure it all out. He just took a seat next to Draco with a grin as he looked down at his house with a smile. He was enjoying this more than he thought he should but he really didn't question it all that much as he looked to draco. "Seems things work out for the best" he stated to him with a smirk.

Well, the Slytherin house all burst into cheers. "We got Potter! We got Potter!" they seemed to chant, and Draco moved away to give Harry some space to sit down as he saw him walking over in his direction. Everyone seemed genuinely surprised that the Boy Who Lived had been placed in Slytherin, especially the Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, whose eyes were no longer twinkling, and Severus Snape, Potions Master and Head of Slytherin house, who just nearly spit out the contents of the pumpkin juice he had just started to drink. Draco saw this and snickered quietly, before turning back to Harry.

Harry felt nervous in all this. This hat seemed to control everything. He wasn't sure what to think at the moment. He saw that Draco was next and before the hat was even placed on his head it called out Slytherin. He couldn't believe what was going on though it was strange to him as he didn't understand how the hat was going about this. What was the hat looking for. Though as he heard his name called out the Great Hall went silent. He stepped forward and sat on the stool. He felt as the hat was placed on his head. He sat tall as the hat mumbled to itself before finally calling out his house. "Slytherin!" he shouted as harry gave a grin and started towards were draco was sitting with a grin on his face. He had been placed in the same house as him and he couldn't wait.

Draco was one of the first to be sorted, Crabbe and Goyle had already been sorted into Slytherin. The hat barely touched Draco's head before calling out "Slytherin!" and Draco smirked, eyes glancing over towards Harry who stood with the rest of the first years waiting to be sorted, and made his way towards the Slytherin table in which the green and silver banners were held. Draco knew he'd get along fine. He continued to watch the Sorting, wondering where the Hat would put Harry. He hoped Slytherin as well.
