"Yeah, hard work," Aaron agrees with a laugh. His smile suddenly became real and heartfelt and he declared, "I'll race you to your house." Without waiting for an answer, he takes off running down the road, laughing loudly. He knew he'd win easily, but he decided that he'd do something so that when Eli arrived he wouldn't have time to complain about him leaving him behind.

Without realizing it, he let his mind turned back to the things that had him down. Sharron had only kissed him once and he wasn't sure if it was because he was a poor kisser or if she had decided that things wouldn't be fun with him, since it was you me and Eli, with him. Even if it was that, he wouldn't change who he spent almost all of his time with, but if it was the kissing part...he had a good idea on who he could ask for help with.

Childishly, once he turned the block, he snapped back to the present and ducked down so that Eli wouldn't see him, and when the other boy passed, he shot out and wrapped his arms around him. He laughed when he felt Eli jump and said, "Gotcha!" He released his best friend and headed towards the house. "Well, are you coming?"

((sometimes. it depends on the coven as to whether they dress up or not. Some covens dress up and have a masquerade, while still others just gather. I'm part of the latter group.))

Feeling Aaron's arm around him made Eli feel like a million bucks. Sometimes, he felt as though rather than loving Aaron, he worshiped the boy. But as he got older, he learned you could do both. Aaron was perfect in Eli's eyes, faults and all. He would take a bullet for the other, without a second thought. That much devotion to one person, Eli thought, was something the word love couldn't begin to describe.

He smiled at the statement, nodding. "Yeah, and I went out and bought all our favorites, so even the hangovers will be fun." He said, linking his hands together behind his back. "We deserve a break, all the hard work we've been doing lately." He told Aaron, grinning as the other tried and failed to skip. A shrill voice interrupted their joyful moment, but Eli didn't let it bother him. He would have Aaron all to himself over the weekend, and she wouldn't.

He shook his head, smiling. "Don't go apologizing, she's your girlfriend, I get it." He answered, waving his hands in front of his face to insure the other it was okay. He didn't understand why Aaron felt he had to apologize, something was definitely up with the other. Eli would wait til the got to his house, before he started his interrogation. He didn't like to see his friend in low spirits, and he would cheer him up if it was the last thing he did.

{ I see, is it similar to Halloween, do you dress up and such? }

Aaron could sense how eager Eli was to leave, so he wrapped his arm around Eli's shoulders and started walking without a word. Part of the reason he was leaving so quickly, was because he was eager to leave, but another reason was because he really wanted to punch Seth and the rest of his groupies out. He could tell that the punks were planning to mess with Eli if he hadn't shown up.

Once they were on the outside, Aaron stretched and said happily, "Yayness on school being over for the week! Two days and a hangover before I have to go back!" He makes a poor attempt at skipping from joy and then looks back at Eli.

"Aaron!" Sharron shouts, as she runs over. She flings her arms around his shoulders, kisses him, and then runs back to her friends, giggling and blushing. For some reason, as soon as she was in the car with the other girls, Aaron felt he owed Eli an apology and looked at him, saying with a wince, "Sorry."

((It's older than Halloween, but not as popular to celebrate, since it is pagan.))

Eli laughed. "I won't get grounded, my mother loves that I participate in rebellious teenage acts. My father just wants the stuff out of the house, he can't stand the smell. He's a beer kind of guy." He told Aaron, recalling the conversation his mother and father had. The man didn't like the fruity taste and scent, told his mother alcohol was meant to be strong. Eli was more like his mother though, neither could hold their alcohol well.

When Aaron smiled at him, Eli didn't believe it for a second. Something was up with his best friend, something he didn't want to tell Eli. He didn't want to push the other while they were at school, but he'd get to the bottom of it later at his house. "Okay, but you know I'm here if you wanna talk. See yeah later!" He told the other, hesitating with a worried look before heading off to global studies. He hoped the afternoon went by faster then usual.

His classes had dragged by relentlessly, and it seemed he'd aged 1000 years by the time the last bell rang. He was restless, hurrying to his locker as quickly as he could. A very deep, very annoyed frown graced his lips as he spotted Seth and his groupies standing together in the hall. To get to his locker, he'd have to pass them. He left his head down, using his hair to shield his face and quickly walked by. Ignoring their snickering wasn't half as easy as he wished it would be.

He practically threw his things into his locker, spotting Aaron coming down the hall. This weekend was all theirs, no idiots from school, no Sharron and no homework. Eli couldn't wait to be out of this place for two days, and just spend a nice, relaxing few days doing absolutely nothing with his best friend. He smiled at the thought.

{ Oh! Thank you : D IF you don't mind me asking, what is Blessed Samhain? }

"We're gonna mess the martinis up horribly, but sure! Let's try, if she won't notice if they are used," Aaron agreed eagerly. He brushed his hair out of his eyes, which had been bugging him for a bit and started walking towards his class. At least he had gym, and the teacher let him sleep in there. "I don't want you to get grounded," he added teasingly.

As soon as Eli asked, Aaron beamed at him and it seemed so whole heartedly, it was hard to imagine that he was faking it. He said, "I'm great, man. No worries. Talk to you soon!" He walked backward a few paces, smirking at his dearest friend, before spinning on heel and heading towards the gym.

For Aaron the classes passed quick and quietly, because he was mostly sleeping. It was bumming that he didn't have a class with either Eli or Sharron, but he still had people to joke around with when he was awake. The whole day though, his dark thoughts plagued him and he felt like going to one of his ex-girlfriends to ask them, but he didn't. He needed someone he trusted, which limited it to Eli, whom was gonna kick his ass if he worked up the nerve to mention his thoughts, but oh well.

Once the last bell had rung and the school day was done, Aaron threw his stuff in his locker and headed to meet Eli, all to eager to be with his bestie.

((Blessed Samhain for me, lol, but yeah, Happy Ol' Hallows' Eve.))

Watching as Sharron planted her lips on Aaron's cheek and skipping off to class, Eli mimicked her mouth movements in a very immature nature. But he took her advice, placing his tongue against the roof of his mouth and relaxing as the pain seemed to melt away in mere seconds. She'd actually helped him, which blew him away. Not that he wasn't thankful to her, but he'd never admit that fact to her. They were rivals, they couldn't get along. He knew that all too well.

Eli watched with a gentle smile as Aaron expressed his excitement. He was just as excited, but he chose to contain himself. It would do him no good to get too geared up and end up with a detention because he couldn't give his full attention in his last two classes. These were his least favorite teachers, and he was better off just shutting up and listening to whatever they said. He hated doing it, but for tonight it was definitely worth it.

"Meet me at my locker after your last class, and we'll go get your stuff and head over my house. My parent's will be gone by then, and we'll have the place to ourselves for the whole weekend." Eli told him, grinning. "And I think my mom might have some left over martini mix, we could try our hands at making some to waste some time before the marathon comes on." He added, remembering that his mother hadn't been able to use all the drink mixes up the last time she had all her friends over.

He noticed something a bit off about the way Aaron was looking, and it bothered him. "You okay?" He asked, voicing his thoughts. It wasn't often that Aaron ever held something back from him.

{ HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Very Happy }

Aaron chuckled at how eager Eli was, but it was quiet so no one noticed. For a moment there was silence and Aaron was aware of how thoughtful both his companions were. That scared him and he was about to crack a joke when Eli looked at his cellular. There was no holding back his laughter when Eli gaze himself brainfreeze, but he did try to rein it in so that he wouldn't annoy the other.

Sharron rattled on and on about the date, talking about what they could do and what they would just have to do, to make them officially a couple and Aaron got swept up in it, so that he couldn't rag on this best friend, though part of him figured that would be a lot more amusing than talking about a picnic where ever so that she could do whatever. It wasn't that he didn't care, it was just that so many other girls had been like this at first, only to suddenly back of and then leave him. He never really knew what. ((A/N:/ *cough*Eli*cough* lol))

When Eli was still rubbing his temples as they reached the gate, Sharron looked at him and said, "That won't help it. The only way to get rid of a ice cream headache is to press your tongue to the roof of your mouth." For a moment she look surprised, like she couldn't believe that she had volunteered to help Eli, but it was quickly covered up with a blinding smile at Aaron, as she hug and kissed his cheek good bye, before going to her next class.

"Yay! Only a few more classes then I can go home, get some clothes and marathon time!" Aaron said in parting to Eli, beaming at his best friend, though his eyes looked troubled for some reason.

Eli was practically floating on air. Of course he hadn't really forgotten, he'd been cleaning and buying things in preparation for tonight. But with Sharron in the picture, he wasn't to be sure if Aaron was still up for it. In all honesty, it would probably be correct to say that Eli himself had been more excited about tonight then Aaron was. He couldn't wait to have some alone time with the other, just hanging out and having a good time just like they used to.

"The whole weekend? Sounds like a plan!" He answered, smiling bigger. He'd been expecting just the night, but Aaron would be staying the whole weekend. For a short while, Eli was worried he would end up doing something stupid and ruin their friendship. Would he drunkenly tell Aaron something he didn't want a soul to know? But his worries vanished easily. They were first and foremost best friends, and Eli knew that. They would just be hanging out this weekend, and that's all he could ask for. It would be fun no matter what.

When Sharron brought up a date, Eli did not panic. He knew his best friend wouldn't choose the girl over himself, in that he was confident. But somewhere in his mind, he felt sorry for her. Yes, she was horrible to him. But he couldn't blame her, for they had something in common. Their feelings for Aaron made them act that way to each other. As horrible as she was, he knew her feelings for him were true. And in that, he could relate to her. He was 100% sure, that under Aaron-free circumstances, both he and Sharron would get along like Jack and Jill. But alas, their feelings were too strong for either of them to control it now. There was no hope for a friendship until one of them got over Aaron. Eli wouldn't be that candidate, that was for sure.

He checked his cell for the time, and sputtered. "If we don't get back in 3 minutes, we'll all get detention. We gotta go!" He told them both, quickly gulping down the rest of his milkshake. A bad idea, he hissed in pain as the cold shot up his throat, giving him a brain freeze. He hated these, which was why he'd been laying off the milkshakes. He followed behind the two, rubbing his temples gently, sighing in relief as the pain began to subside.

Aaron noticed that Sharron's grip on his arm kept tightening and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not, because though she was smiling, he was getting a whole 'claw your eyes out' vibe from her. He decided to shrug it off as him being overly paranoid about her and Eli getting along. He was just too worried. They'd surely become friends naturally if he just let them be.

If looks could kill, Aaron would have been mourning his best friend, because Sharron shot daggers at him with her eyes as she replied, "I'm certain I do."

"Thank you!" Sharron chirped when he said that they were cute together, even though it was obviously sarcasm, even Aaron noticed that, but she seemed so eager just to hear them praised as a couple. A smile curved Aaron's lips and he didn't step in for the moment, but when the marathon was mentioned he immediately responded.

Aaron beamed back and said cheerfully, "You forgot the marathon was tonight!? I was looking forward to that like all week! If your parents are out, then I'll just stay the whole weekend! This is gonna rock!"

"But what about going on a date?" Sharron asked pouting, her bottom lip poking out and her brow wrinkling in concern. For a moment he didn't reply and then he said, "Monday night, Cherry. We'll stay out to midnight doing anything you like, deal?"

"I guess," she sighed, looking heart broken.

((Forgiven, lol, everyone gets busy. Yay! my army grows *evil laugh*))

Eli watched in amazement, this girl was good. She'd completely changed her attitude, probably trying to get back on his good side. Or at least to make Aaron believe she was trying to get back on his good side. Well, she still had a long way to go if she ever wanted that to happen. He cocked a brow up, giving her a smile.

"Yeah, a tranny friend of mine got the same style just a few days ago. Big mistake on his part. But don't you worry, you pull it off much better than he does." He added in a seemingly innocent tone, knowing full well that he'd just hit her a huge insult. It wasn't like she didn't deserve it, Eli had tried to be nice. If she wasn't going to make a mutual effort, then to hell with her. He could play nice guy for Aaron's sake, but he sure as hell wasn't going to butter her up none. He wished that Aaron would stop kissing those obnoxiously glossed lips, god knows where they'd been. Or who.

He snorted, unable to control himself. "Don't worry, you have nothing to worry about. She's all yours." He said. "I mean, you two are so cute together. Who would ever get between that?" He added, hoping he wasn't being too much of an ass. He practically threw up when she nuzzled him, though he couldn't deny that he was burning with jealousy. So what if she could do that, Aaron had been his best friend since they were in diapers. She was definitely no match for that.

"Oh yeah, that marathon is coming on tonight isn't it? My parents are going to visit my great-aunt or whatever this weekend, and Duke is staying over Maria's. We could watch it at my house, and with my parents out their liquor stash would also be up for grabs." He had totally forgotten about it. They had been planning to watch it for weeks, and his parents going out were just a bonus. He beamed at Aaron, hoping the other was still interested in their plans. For the moment, he forgot Sharron was even there.

{ LOL, yay! I would love to be part of your army! And I'm soooooo sorry! I was all over the place yesterday and couldn't reply! Forgive me~ }

Aaron vaguely wondered why Eli didn't slap her, since he obviously wanted to, but he was happy his friend was making an effort to get along with her. He shot his best friend a look that said it was alright as he walked away, before turning to Sharron and asking, "Are you trying to be rude or is this just your personality? You seemed so much nicer before."

"Oh! I'm so sorry, baby! I don't know why I was acting like that. He just seemed so rude about that. I promise I'll be nicer," she said, looking down and pouting, making sure she looked seriously sorry, though her anger towards that little floozy grew. She was seriously considering ways to get even with him, when Aaron kissed her again.

He could resist her when she looked so cute, which was probably why he had gone out with her in the first place, so Aaron gave her a quick kiss and said, "It's okay and I would be nicer if I was you. Eli has an attitude and he might just show you if you keep this up." His tone was teasing and kissed her forehead. He was straightening up when said person came back over and he gave him a warm smile to say it was alright, though it turned into a scowl as he heard about Seth.

"Seth is a jerk, so I get why you were upset," Sharron said in a sympathetic tone, but her eyes still had the whole evil look to them. She reached up to touch her hair and said in an almost flirty manner, "Thanks. That means a lot, coming from you."

Aaron looked at her, shocked at the total change in attitude and teased, "If that wasn't my best friend, I'd be jealous."

"It's because he is your best friend," Sharron assured him, with a brilliant smile and she nuzzled against his arm, sending a look at Eli that clearly said "aren't you jealous?"

((yay, I just learned what A14 means. *feels smart* and someone else that agrees with me! I will one day have a legion of yaoi fans as an army! lol, sorry about the craziness, I'm hyper this evening. Awesomeness, we both agree: quality beats quantity, even when it comes to roleplay. Very Happy))

A look crossed Eli's face, somewhere between shock and confusion. Did she really just say that, to him, as he was trying to be nice? His first instinct was to bitch slap her, right there and then. But he reminded himself of his plan, that it was for Aaron, if he could just get his hands on her perfect hair... He stopped himself, deciding to brush it off and turned Aaron instead. He watched in amusement as the other danced around, singing about a tattoo. Which, in Eli's opinion, would look totally hot on any part of the body of a god. "You say that, but you really just need an excuse to get me there to hold you hand." He chimed, smiling sweetly in his best friend's direction.

Sharron oh-so-graciously took it upon herself to once again ruin the good atmosphere. "Jesus, I was kidding. Don't take a fit sweety, it might ruin your hair." He snapped back with just as much attitude, unable to hold his tongue. He automatically felt guilty, giving Aaron his best 'I-love-you-and-I'm-sorry-look. "I'm going to go and grab that milkshake, I'll see you guys over there." He said, needing to get away and cool his head. He headed off without waiting for an answer, hoping he hadn't pissed his best friend off yet again. This always happened with Aaron's girlfriends, and Eli had to get over it. He ordered his favorite, vanilla-strawberry twist milkshake, a dark cloud hanging over his thoughts. He took a sip, a deep breath, and put on a smile. He would make this work, somehow, just to prove he could be a non-jealous best friend. He always hated those characters in movies, anyway.

"And for your information, you haven't moved to my second thoughts. I was thinking of you the whole time he did it. Thinking of how much you'd be whining if you'd been there instead of me." He snorted out, rejoining the group in higher spirits. "I'm sorry for saying that, Sharron. I'm just being a pain because Seth Ramsay pissed me off right before I got to you guys. I actually really like your hair." He added as sickeningly sweetly as he could, hoping to earn some brownie points. If she wanted to play this game, he was totally ready to kick her ass. When it came to attitude, Eli was the shit. He smirked evilly, to the confusion of those around him.

{ I recommend it, that movie is my life. Seriously. And 14A is just a rating, like PG-13. But with Eli and Aaron, PG-13 isn't good enough. XP I agree, yaoi always makes hetero better. Very Happy And don't you be saying that, you're posts are awesome. I'm more interested in the content then the length~! }
