"Why wouldn't I want it? You came over here and said I was a catch. My heart is all a flutter," Yuki told him, actually blushing at his own words. He smiled and looked at the other guy, who tipped his cup to the couple and took a drink, before walking away. Yuki rubbed his nose against Kirk and asked, "So what's the plan for tonight?"

"Finally! I was waiting for you!" Yuki said, hugging Kirk even before he heard what he had said. He pulled back and asked, teasingly, "I'm such a good catch, why don't you ask me on a date? I couldn't possibly say no."

Some guy came over and smiled charmingly at Yuki; he laid his hand on Yuki's forearm and said, "Hey handsome, you're not here alone, are you?"

"Define alone," Yuki replied with a smile. Then he shook his head and answered, "I don't have an offical date. Care for a drink?"

"Wow, cute and charmer, I'd love a drink as long as it's nothing strong," the guy replied, flipping his blond hair back. He had pretty silver eyes and a vaguely feminine face, but it looked good on him.

Yuki flashed him a grin and said, "Order what you like. I'm treating."

"I don't want any alcohol tonight," Yuki told the bartender with a sweet smile. "Just soda please."
The bartender laughed quietly and got his drink as he teased, "Don't you know this is a bar kiddo?"

"Yes, but I burnt the tip of my tongue and alcohol hurts to drink," he replied, sipping his soda and giving a theatrical wince. He rolled his eyes and went to talk to someone else. Yuki leaned back against the bar and scoped the room out. He couldn't see Kirk, but he was certain the other man would be there.

Yuki gave it two weeks and figured that it was an honest effort, and then went back to the club. He only went to that club though, because he had grown comfortable there and part of him like to fantasize that it was his and Kirk's secrete meeting place. He went back to his old job, though he was getting better pay now, and hiim and Lonesome had relocated to a small, crappy apartment.
