The voice stayed for a while. As the platforms began to shake it whispered directions on where to go. Left, down, jump and middle. Moving to where I was told the movement didn't so much as shake my balance. "See I'm helpful. Say my name..." It said trailing off. This time the voice was more solid and I could easily tell that it was male. Everyone was finally on the same platform, yet it still seemed off. "Say it..." The voice echoed again. With a sigh I gave in. Everyone else had a strange looking person and in one's case, a griffin? "Junichi, what in the world do you want?" I ask. Realizing I said his name caused my head to hurt a bit. Before he even appeared I my head throbbed. This was probably due to what I knew was going to come.

The apple on my screen lit up and from what I saw, I knew the pain in my head was only going to get worst. "Fuyuki!" He called wrapping his arms around my shoulders. No matter how irritating I knew my character was, he was somehow comforting to have around. "Yuki-chan, there's a strange looking guy in a cape." He says laughing. With a small sigh I looked up at the figure. Listening to the voice, my opinion of Wonderland only got worst. "Yuki-chan! Did you hear!" Juninchi screams into my ear. "What now?" I asks. "He said wonderland, right? That means it's like a game or somethin' right." He says excited.

Before the rock even started to shatter Junichi was already dragging me up the stairs with his nagging. "Faster, I want to see the fair!" He whines. "It's not a fair, it's a digital world of some kind and we want to leave not stay." I reply. Junichi shakes. "No! If you leave I won't be able to talk to you!" He complains. "I get it please stop." I ask knowing those words will go further with him. He nods, rubs his face into my back, then remains quiet as I walk through the door.

Acting fast Junichi puts his hands over my eyes and slowly releases them so I wasn't blinded by the bright lights. Looking around the area seemed to be a gym? Junichi jumped off and started running around playing with anything he could get his hands on. A found a wall and leaned against it. Looking at the computer it seemed okay, so I just left it at that and tried to enjoy the peace for a bit.

((Okay here are the links for him. He looks like the first one, but will change when Fuyuki is in danger or something.))

PostSubject: Re: Heartbeat | M/Private   Thu Nov 19, 2009 9:00 pm

I hastily scrambled to my feet; glancing upwards at the offer of help. I was about to reply, however was cut off by someone yanking the back of my sweater, very nearly causing me to tumbled over again. I met a pair of pitch black eyes surrounded by pale, almost child-like features. In spite of this, I was relatively terrified. For good reason, too. I knew Lucien like the back of my hand, and, from the looks of it, he knew who I was too. Not good.

"I don't care why I'm here, or what's happening, but if you don't send me back right this instant, I will break each of your limbs one by one, and then drop you over the edge of this platform." Yep. He definitely wasn't too happy. I wasn't surprised he didn't instantly show any affection whatsoever to me; I'd done some less than savory things to of him while writing, and, technically, was the cause of all of his hardships and problems. Besides that, he was just plain violent and didn't like many people, least of all those who caused him trouble.

"Well, um...ah..." I stuttered for a couple moments; I wasn't exactly the Picasso of the spoken word. In fact, I was praying that my nervousness wouldn't show through in my reply. I had a nasty habit of letting my mouth just run off nonsense when I was nervous. "I would prefer it if you didn't. Besides that, technically, I should be giving you the orders, I mean, I did create you, and...um...yeah...w-what are you doing?"

While I was speaking, Lucien began pulling me along backwards. "Throwing you over the edge. I don't take orders from kids."

Automatically, I lurched forward in order to hopefully rip free of his grip on the back of my sweater. Much to my surprise, I not only moved forward with relative ease, but actually dragged Lucien along behind me. He looked surprised by this too. Well, duh; he was thirteen, and I was sixteen. I had a good half a foot on him or so in height. He was a kid, I was a teenager. If I had wanted to, I could've hefted him right off the ground. Of course, unless I wanted to be assaulted repeatedly until dead, I wouldn't. He may have been small, but that didn't mean he couldn't beat me to a bloody pulp if he tried. I dragged the both of us back into the middle of the platform, much to Lucien's displeasure. It was at this point that the platforms of rock began to vibrate and shake. I slipped and brought him down with me.

All of the platforms began to move, shifting until every single one had connected and created just one huge platform. Only one remained floating above, and a figure cloaked in black had appeared on it, watching all of them from it's perch. It waited until the vibrating and moving stopped, before speaking. The voice was deep, and reminiscent to the voice on an automated phone line; it carried and echoed through the strange area. "Welcome to Wonderland. We sincerely thank you for accepting our invitations, and hope that you find your time here memorable. Each of you has successfully completely your first summoning; congratulations on passing the introduction stage. We will now transfer you to Wonderland, where you may begin your game. Please standby."

The figure flickered, before dissolving entirely. A door materialized on the raised platform the strange being had been standing on, and some of the platforms of rock rose out of their place in the ground, floating over the raised platform and creating a stairway down to the groups waiting below. As incentive to go up the stairs, the platforms of rock farthest away from the makeshift stairway began to crumble inwards, drawing closer and closer to all of them. It was clear that if they didn't run up the stairs and through the door, they would fall into the black abyss.

I didn't move right away; my legs felt like lead. My dreams had never been this weird or vague. I always knew what was happening. I was never scared. Right now, I was terrified. Lucien, however, didn't even seem surprised. He just proceeded towards the stairs without a word. Even if he was trying to kill me, I didn't want to be alone, and he was the only one I knew here. I willed myself into motion, hastily scrambling after the lithe cat boy. Every couple seconds, I couldn't help but glance at the gradually deteriorating rocks below. It seemed to inspire speed, as I managed to keep up with Lucien in spite of the fact I severely lacked his sense of balance and agility. Being cowardly helps sometimes.

The door didn't have a handle. My heart skipped a beat when I saw it. Lucien stood near, looking irritated, before reaching to touch the surface of the orante wooden door. His hand went right through. A deeper frown met his lips, however he crossed through the door unhesitatingly anyway. I hurried after him, the prospect of being left behind was more than enough to erase any inhibitions I had about walking through some weird portal to god-only-knows where.

On the other side, I was forced to shield my eyes from the glare of the sun. Well, at least I thought it was the sun. When my eyes finally adjusted to the sudden brightness, I realized we were just standing in the gymnasium of a school, and, instead of regular lights, the roof of the gym featured hundreds of those really bright energy-saver lights. Lucien was already on his way to the closest door; it was locked. I just kind of wandered into the middle of the gym; I felt a great deal safer being here as opposed to that weird floating rock place, even with the weird light thing on the ceiling. I could handle places that were familiar.

What was going on? Just a few seconds ago he had been all alone in this strange world; now there were no more than three boys, one girl, and a number of other people that didn't even look real in his line of vision. He couldn't see how they had been summoned, but he wouldn't have the chance to; before he could prepare himself for the next jump his laptop started shining. Confused, he knelt down and opened it. Nothing seemed different... wait, there was something. A folder labeled "Wonderland", except silver. Right hand shaking, he moved the mouse toward the folder and double-clicked.

There were five files in the folder, all of them in a format he could not recognize. Figuring this had to have something to do with the game, he took a chance and double-clicked on one, expecting the usual "Cannot open this file, look online for software." What he got was most certainly unexpected.

"Hello, Aikurushii."

At this, the anemic child turned his head to see a very familiar nine-tailed fox looking down at him kindly. It was Ran Yakumo, otherwise known as the Extra boss of Touhou 7. "H-hello..." he stammered, blushing deeply. But... he couldn't bring himself to fall in love with a character who didn't exist, even if she was such a kind woman. Well, for now, he just stood up. "Could you... please help me get down to them?" he asked.

Ran said nothing, but instead gave a light smile, before effortlessly picking him up and jumping straight down to ground level, setting him down gently. "Thank you..." he said in an aside to her, before turning to the others. "Um... excuse me..." he stated, though whether anyone heard him or not was completely unknown to him.

As I watched the chaos below, I was shocked to the cat person randomly appear and start chasing the other...was it a female or male? Looks were always so confusing and it was almost impossible to tell with some people. Best not to judge until you talked to them for a bit. A chuckle escaped me when he collided with the other guy, though my eyes widened, surprised to see someone would be dying even before I had gotten to know them. It was amazing to me, how messed up my own mind was. When the bird-lion thing (weren't they called griffins or something like that? I couldn't remember) appeared, flying from under one slab and catch the other guy, I exhaled, not realizing I had held the breath.

"Oi! Don't leap of the ledge you idiots!" I shouted at them, mostly for my own amusement. Already growing bored with what my mind had thrown at me this time, I looked at my iPod screen and checked to see if it was working and yes! It was. I gave a wordless shout of joy as I clicked on my favorite song and started jamming out, only to noticed that there were more picture files than I had remembered downloading, and numbers were my thing, I never forgot them, even the useless ones. Clicking on the spinning dial fast, I opened the first file and looked, shocked, at the face of a character that I had written about years ago, back in junior high when I was still convinced I could be something, a writer. Never before had I seen the face anywhere but in my mind, and a small, bitter smile came to my face as my thumb traced over the lines of it and I whispered, "Flight."

Suddenly the screen lit up brightly and so did the dial, though the light around it spinning. A little freaked out, I held it out at arms length, not wanting to risk breaking my iPod by dropping it. The image of Flight rose out, her whole body, her eyes were closed, but then, once her whole body extended out of it, her eyes snapped open, locking onto mine and she leap free of the light, landing with lithe grace on the floor, spinning to me with fire in her eyes. In a bitter tone, she asked, "Miss me, Michael?"

"Can't say I did," I replied evenly, as if it was natural to talk to a fictional character that hadn't even been published...well for me it was. I had argued with her a lot as I tried to work out her story. She was my brilliant wolf shifter, a warrior princess of long, lost people, and she had an attitude that could rock the world.

((OOC:/ sorry about the uber slow update. I had trouble finding pics I liked so I ended up making them, which is why they are so crappy...also, is it okay that I have Flight as a female? I can use another charrie if that would work better...))

Insteading of nearing anyone like I had hoped to do I seemed to be getting farther away from anyone at all. And not only that the landscape had changed so that everyone was in various spots. "Eee!" I wasn't at all enjoying this game anymoe and before I could do anyting someone landed on the platform that I was now floating and and skidded to stop. Along with a cat person? Letting out a sound I stumbled back only to loose my balance and tumble backwards into what appeared was a massive darkness. My brain started racing all over as I just called out a random name. "Locke! Help!" I screeched as I shifted to see the void in which I was plunging towards. Squeezing my eyes shut I felt my body suddendly impact on something soft. Openin them I realized I was no longer falling but rising. And there were wings on either side of me. Blinking I suddendly tightend my arm around a eagle like head and clung on. Panting due to my racing heart I shifted upwards towards the boy with the neko earlier. That neko looked so familer I'de seen it before. Sitting on the gryphon I called down. "Hey! You ok? I'm Luna! Maybe we can help each other?" I said. Who knew? Maybe I was going insane all this was just some hallucation? Maybe there was no one standing there atall? Maybe I was talking to nothing? Or maybe myself? What the hell I was chancing anything right no. "Need a lift off that rock?" I hoped Locke could hold the weight. I wasn't really sure. I'de never actually riden a gryphon before or really thought about those details at all when I created him. As for he cat. Lucien? Hopefully he could manage on his own. It was just doubtfull that Locke was capable of carring three beings. What was the purpose of being here in the first place. This world was distorted, strange, and there were no instructions as in most games I was acustomed to. Hell... a tutorial would be nice about now.

(OOC: Locke has two forms. Wheter or not he'll be seen in the second I'm unsure of at this time. Current form is the first picture.)

A sigh escaped my lips as it seemed no one was able to answer my question. One, two, three other males and one female, great. One, we were stuck in this weird place; two, my programs were acting a bit weird; and three, the female seemed to be getting chased by what looked like a cat boy. What in the world could go anymore wrong? Not wanting to get involved I sat down with my bag on my lap, making sure my computer was alright. it only took a few more minutes of madness before I opened my laptop again. The strange thing was that none of the battery seemed to be depleting. Whatever this place was, it would keep tec. alive, but limit what could and couldn't be accessed. A few clicks here and there and it very seemed impossible to hack into a the sever or any other sever for that matter.

Finding the situation useless I put my computer away. I closed my bag tight and looked around. Moving the the edge it was only a hop away. WIth one quick movement I moved from my floating rock to one a little higher. I continued to jump from floating platform to platform each time landing softly and evenly on my feet. Landing at what looked like a good height I looked around into the vast landscape. There really was nothing up there. The area seemed to stretch further than my eyes could see, past what seemed to be the horizon. Looking for land there seemed to be something in the distance, but that was way out of jumping distance, even for an olympic jumper. "This is pointless. There is nothing here, and the only other thing is way beyond reach." I mutter to myself. "That's not true." Answered a voice. Looking around it was easy to see no one else said a word. "Not there. You'll know when the time is right. I'll help you. All you have to do is say my name." Echoed the voice before disappearing leaving a lingering feeling of arms around my shoulders.

PostSubject: Re: Heartbeat | M/Private   Sat Nov 14, 2009 1:05 pm

Right after the first guy yelled, the one with white hair, I heard another voice reply. Automatically, my gaze whipped around to the new person. It was at this point I noticed that the little world of floating rocks contained a lot more people than I thought it did. I didn't recognize any of them. That was a little bit...weird. Most of my dreams involved people I knew. Panic was beginning to well in my heart; this was just a nightmare. Just a bad nightmare. I just had to go along with it.

"It couldn't be anything else..." I was surprised by how far my voice carried, at least until I realized I was wearing my Xbox headset. And it was still connected to the controller that was still in the pocket of my hoodie. Just a nightmare. A really, really weird, realistic nightmare. Unwilling to speak any more for fear of the others replying and ruining my attempts at convincing myself of this place being a nightmare, I retreated to the center of the rock I was standing on and sat down cross-legged.

I withdrew the controller from my pocket. If this was a dream or a nightmare, that meant the controller and headset were supposed to be my weapons or something. My dreams usually resembled the video games I played, so it made sense, and I'd had stranger things appear as weapons in my dreams before. Hesitatingly briefly, I pressed the center of the controller to turn it on. It flashed green. Then began humming.

With a growing sense of dread, yet being too curious to stop whatever the controller was doing, I watched as the light gradually turned white. And then electrocuted me. I yelped, and instantly dropped the controller, attempting to scramble away from it. Unfortunately, since it as attached to my headset, that didn't work out too well. It just followed me across the platform, at least until I stopped right before I would've slipped over the edge.

A small, virtual projection emanated from the top of the controller once I came to a halt; it mimicked the Dashboard screen of my Xbox 360, except, instead of the regular menus, it displayed profiles. Of five of my characters. Old and new alike. I recognized them instantly. I stared for a few moments before gathering up the courage to approach the little screen again. At the bottom of the virtual screen, where the open disc tray option should have been, it said 'input voice command' instead.

My curiosity got the better of me; I picked up the controller in order to glance through all of the profiles. They were up-to-date to the last detail. I stopped at the one I was most familiar with; the one I used most often as of late. It featured two names; the new version, and my old version. "Lucien...and Xepher..." More out of force of habit than anything, I whispered the names to myself; occasionally, I mumbled things to myself. The controller began beeping and the virtual screen flickered off, instead emitting a strange, green light.

I tried to scramble away from the weird light, but that didn't work out so well since the controller was still attached to my headset. I was in too much of a panic now to think about taking off the headset. The controller clattered along the ground behind me, but didn't stop emitting that weird light. Then the weird light started to materialize into something. That something morphed into a vaguely humanoid shape, then the green light dissipated entirely and the controller stopped beeping.

The cat boy I'd named and created leapt to his feet, instantly on guard. Of course, I was the first he saw. And he didn't look too happy. Naturally, my first instinct was to book it. So I did. I snatched up the controller, and leapt right off the edge of my rock, landing quite clumsily on the next floating stone beyond. I didn't stop there. I could tell Lucien, or Xepher, or whatever his name was had followed me. He was a lot better at leaping over rocks too. The instant I landed on a rock with someone else on it, I more or less collided with them in my panic. This effectively brought my fleeing to a halt.

[Aaaaand...this is my first summoned character, Lucien ^-^ He's a combination of an old character's powers, and a new character's personality, hence why there are two names, although, after introductions and whatnot, he'll only be referred to as Lucien]

(Because we need a second female guy.)

With anemia preventing him from hardly leaving the house for fear of danger if he were to pass out unexpectedly, Aiku had lived a reasonably sheltered life. Of course he was home-schooled, where his parents could take care of him and make sure nothing bad happened when he was out cold, but even so, the boy wished to experience life outside.

But he knew what happened when he walked outside. Even when he was young, he was easily mistaken for a girl. Back then, they had come up to the two of them and complimented how cute he looked. Now they held back, though it was clear in their eyes that they wanted to ask him out. When accompanied by his mother, they occasionally did, much to his embarrassment and theirs as well when he had to tell them that he was a boy.

So, Aikurushii's exposure to the outside world was limited to the Internet. But today his relationship with cyberspace would become much more... personal.

"Wonderland... like Lewis Caroll's book?" he breathed out, as he saw the message in his inbox. "Welcome to Wonderland" it said, in bright red letters. Suddenly his computer screen turned blue, and for a moment Aiku had been worried the mail had given him a virus to cause it to BSoD. But... something was different. Usually there was a message, but this screen was all blue. "...Huh...?" he vocalized out loud, tapping the side of the laptop. Suddenly it got brighter, and everything was dark.

The first thing he realized when he could see again was that he was standing on a hard surface. Linoleum, or marble, based on how smooth it was. Looking around, I noticed a number of platforms above me and in front of me. Below me, there were more platforms and what looked to be random 0s and 1s. Regardless he knew that couldn't be a good place to end up. Looking around for another platform that was close enough for him to jump, he found one and took a leap of faith, just managing to hold on by the fingertips. Struggling, he pulled himself up, exhausting himself in the process. Would he really have to get used to dealing with just how easily he could get tired, as he trekked through this... wherever he was?

It was late and most the sane people were already inside, out of the rain, but not me. The rain was soaking through my jacket and I didn't have a hood to pull over my head so that each droplet struck my jet black hair and registered in the back of my mind. It was almost peaceful, but the fast beat music that was pouring from my headphones was anything but and it kept distracting me was I walked down the road. Where was I heading? I wasn't sure, but hey, the worse that could happen was I got even more lost, which was extremely difficult to imagine.

Just as I was getting to the point where I could totally forget myself in the lyrics, my Ipod cut out and my foot froze in the air, midstep. "Hell no!" I hissed, pulling it out of my pocket and looked at the screen, which was totally black. I wanted to cry as I shook it, praying that it would work. I knew that the battery wasn't dead. I had had a full charge only five minutes before when I had turned it on, but now it wasn't turning back on. Suddenly, in a bright red that I didn't even know that my Ipod screen could make, the worlds Welcome to Wonderland appeared, scrolling across. The words stirred the memory of an email I had gotten earlier that evening, but before I could give it serious though, things got a little weird.

Suddenly I was floating in all darkness, the word around me gone, and then my foot touched down on a slab of marble and the world was recreated, with dozens of other platforms floating around me. I noticed one that was with in leaping distance and went for it, moving from platform to platform, convinced that I was lost in my own mind. Insanity had finally set in and I was finally free...or so I thought.

Sitting my room apond my bed I stared down at the DS screen with only my lamp on as I played Pokemon Platium. I'de almost beaten it and I was gettin excited. I'de been having some trouble beating the glaxica leader Cyrus but thought I was about ready to beat it. I just starte the battle when something funny happend. "Cyrus sends you to wonderland?" The heck I muttered reading the text. I'de challaged him a dozen times and never got this sort of text before from the game. Before I could question the game the lights went out. "Damn!" I cursed and sighed starting to slide my DS under my pillow when I noticed just how dark it was, not even the moonlight shone in through my window then and when everything reappered I wasn't sure if I was dreamig in that moment. "Eh? Did I fall asleep?" I couldn't recall falling asleep. Blinkin a bit I glanced around noticing people. It wouldn't be the first time I dreamed about people but the didn't look like any anime or manga charries like I tend to favor dreaming about.

I felt nervous. That was strange Why was I so nervous. In my dreams I was normally much more confident and not at all shy as I was feeling now. Blinking several times I started forward hearing someone asking about the sort of place this was. "Eh? Isn't it a dream?" I asked in confusion.

Click, click, click, the sound of keys echoed throughout his whole room. "Fuyuki, get off that laptop of yours and look the door. We're going out to visit your aunt, your than welcome to come." His mother called. Fuyuki looked at his screen and decided it could wait a few minutes. "His mother looked at him shocked, her son even left that room of his. She cleared her throat and looked at her son's silvery-white hair. "As I said, we're going to visit your aunt. Do you want to come?" She asks in a gentler tone. Fuyuki looks up at her and shakes his head. "Didn't think so." She says with a sigh. "There's some money on the table and some food in the refrigerator, try and eat tonight." She says before leaving. Quickly he looks the door and heads back into his room.

Once in the comfort of his space he wakes his computer up and enters in his password. "If only they knew what I actual was doing." He says putting a peice of pockey in his mouth. The typing went on until he was done. He read over the digits, numbers, and symbols once before hitting enter. "Another one done. What's that make? About five?" He asks talking to himself since no one else is in the house. Fuyuki saved his new program and went to see his mail icon jumping. "Mail?" He asks a bit confused. Thinking it might have been something important he clicks on the icon and is directed to his inbox. Looking over the messages he scraps a bunch of them stopping at the newest mail that seems to be from himself. Apple I He reads the information that pops up and figures it was about the time he finished his new program. Not wanting his new program to be anywhere online where hackers could get to it, he opens the mail. His computer screen turned black, darkening his room to an almost pitch black. The only thing that stood out were the letters Welcome to wonderland.

"Wonderland? Like that book, what's his name wrote with all the crazy creatures?" He asks turning to get the book only to turn back and grab his laptop. Sure enough it was frozen like that. With a sigh he closes the screen and puts his bag over his shoulder. Reaching for the computer once more he falls onto a slab of floating marble? What the hell was that doing there? More importantly he puts his computer into his bag so it doesn't get damaged.

Fuyuki looks around and figures the whole place looks like this. He figures it's either a dream or he is going crazy. With straight A's and a perfect academic record, not to mention his computer programing skills, he rules out being crazy. That left dreaming until the block a few meters away from him moved. Judging the distance jumping wasn't impossible to jump, but the nothingness underneath wasn't the greatest net. He figured just staying still would be for the best.

Fuyuki opened his computer to see most of the formats had changed. Things were in files and out of place. His software writing format was still there, but his programs had weird golden areas. "One per file. So five total." He thinks, since there is someone here. He puts his computer away locking it and calls out to the nearest person. "Hey, what kind of place is this?" He asks wanting to know why all his stuff is messed up.

[On the fact my computer won't post any pictures, there is a link to what he looks like. The other charas will appear when they are needed I guess. Hope the post is alright.]
