| As Andrew listed off the types of wires, Levi paused and placed similar looking wires into their respective piles. He was more of a businessman, so he really didn't know much about the technicalities of electronics. He wasn't too surprised to hear about the pinball machine wires; Kairn did have a bad habit of bringing home the strangest, most useless things. Once, he had actually dragged a half-dead banana tree into the apartment. Suffice it to say Levi did not appreciate it's presence. The plant was now flourishing quite well at the family home. "Fantastic; I'm sure those will come in handy in the near future." A slight frown met the thirteen year old's mouth. "His worry is misplaced; he should be worrying more about himself, if anything." The frown vanished as quickly as it had appeared. "Is that so? It seems hard to believe; you don't have an unpleasant personality, a little timid, but not to an extreme. Then again, high school students don't seem quite so inclined to include new people into their circle of friends unless it's beneficial to them. Ah well; their loss." Once again, Levi sounded older than he appeared, and considerably more mature. "All of this makes me wonder just who Lucien bought this box from." He moved slower than Andrew, but worked carefully, ensuring each wire went into it's respective pile. "Anything? What about a ridiculously expensive, entirely custom-made computer? It's another one of Lucien's unfinished projects. He asked me to set it up, however I'm next to certain there are pieces missing, and I have no idea what they are." Considering that they would probably finish untangling the wires relatively soon considering how fast Andrew was working, Levi decided to give asking a shot. He wouldn't be able to buy the parts they would need, if they did need any, tonight considering that it was too late, but it would be helpful to know what he needed to buy so he could go and get everything tomorrow.

| "Sure." He replied, staying still to make it easier for Andrew to help untangle him from the wires. "I know. My brother found them in a box at a flea market downtown and decided it would be an intelligent idea to buy them, just in case we ever needed a giant bundle of wires to spend an afternoon untangling." Today, his sarcasm sounded less cynical, more joking rather than mean. "Ugh. At the very least, it should be go by quicker if both of us work on them." Levi proceeded to work on unweaving another wire. "By the way, you never did tell me your name. I assume you know mine since my brother visited you. Knowing him, he probably wasn't merely dropping off your backpack, but, then again, that's really none of my business." If the thirteen year old had figured out his elder brother's intentions, he wasn't giving his knowledge of it away. Still, judging from the fact he was actually trying to initiate a conversation, he probably didn't care about 'Lucien's' plans even if he was aware of them. He placed one of the wires he had unravelled in the growing pile of neatly wound wires beside the two of them. "So, considering that you work at Mariane's electronics store, you probably deal with untangling wires quite often, and you probably know what the majority of these wires do, correct? While you're here, would you help me organize these wires so I don't end up having to test every single one myself?" Even Levi was aware of how unusually friendly he was acting, however his good mood and the fact he actually did have a liking for Andrew allowed him to ignore that. Besides, things would go faster if both of them worked together, and Levi didn't want to end up organizing wires all day. He had plans to set up a computer for Kairn in the living room later, but with the wires in the way that would've been quite difficult. Kairn had actually asked him to set up the computer last night, claiming that he wouldn't know how. Levi did find that strange considering that Kairn was actually relatively intelligent when it came to electronics, however he hadn't had anything else to do, so he accepted the request anyway. He had set up computers before, however Kairn's was slightly...complicated. He had ordered everything custom-made and it didn't look like it would be simple to set up. Still, Levi figured it was worth giving a try. Briefly, he considered asking Andrew to help him with that as well, however decided against it since Andrew probably had deliveries to make after this.
~-OOC-~ Don't worry about it; mine isn't any longer ^-^

| That night passed rather uneventfully; Kairn stayed inside under Alexis' watch, and Levi didn't return. In fact, he didn't show up until Monday night, resulting in Kairn being stuck inside all of Sunday and Monday. Riley came through the front door at about eleven at night carrying a sleeping Levi, slightly disheveled after where ever he had disappeared to and whatever he had done for the past two days. In spite of being worried to the point of insomnia, Kairn did not wake Levi. On Tuesday afternoon, when Levi finally awakened, he ignored Kairn's question and appeared to be in a bad mood. The bad mood lasted until about Wednesday, only clearing due to a rather important trade going through successfully. On Thursday, Levi and 'Lucien' attended a rather fundraising gala, at which Levi, acting through 'Lucien', successfully negotiated a business deal with the company president of a prestigious medical corporation. Thus, albeit somewhat tired after spending most of the night out, Levi was in a relatively good mood. Well, as good a mood as he could get into whatwith being stuck in a thirteen year old body and such. Anyway, with being stuck in the house and fretting about Levi's absence, Kairn, in fact, forgot to phone Mr. Mariane on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursday, much to Kairn's horror, Levi, apparently having forgotten about the little fight with Andrew after everything that had happened, actually ordered something from Mr. Mariane. Luckily, Kairn managed to phone back while Levi wasn't paying attention and request Andrew to deliver the parcel. Well, at the very least, this meant Levi would be expecting a package. Speaking of which, when Friday came, Kairn made the convenient excuse of having to go grocery shopping, and dragged Alexis and Riley along with him, leaving Levi alone to pick up the package. "Bye Levi! Have fun! Call me if anything goes wrong!" The enthusiastic, raven haired teen called from the elevator, right before the doors closed. Levi rolled his eyes and closed the door of the suite, heading straight for the mess of wires in the living room. He had meant to straighten them out for the past week, but had found himself too busy to do so. Now seemed like the perfect time.
~---~
Levi was fairly tangled up in wires when he heard the knock on the door; the ridiculous things just refused to disentangle themselves. He had managed to separate some of them, however had ended up tangled up with the majority of them, thus it was quite impossible for him to answer the door himself right at the moment. "It's open! Just come in!" He called out; it may not have seemed like the wisest choice for him to leave the door open after last week, but after the incident, he had posted two of his private bodyguards to watch this floor. They would only let people they recognized through, or people who had the appropriate clearance. Thanks to Kairn, the two men lounging at the end of hall totally ignored Andrew. When Andrew found his way to the living room, he would Levi entangled in a mess of wires, a few loops of untangled wires lying to the side. He didn't even glance up from what he was doing when Andrew came in. "Hello again. Are you here to deliver something?" Astonishingly enough, he didn't sound irritated in the slightest, it was as if the little argument had never happened. In fact, he actually sounded like he was in a good mood. It appeared as though, for the time being, Lady Luck was on Andrew's side.
~-OOC-~ Yep, it's good ^-^ |

| Kairn smiled lightly, "Oh, I almost forgot, I talked to Mr. Mariane and explained the situation. He did seem upset, but your job should be okay if that's what you're worrying about." He stood from the couch (which they magically appeared on somewhere during that discussion XD), as if preparing to leave. "Well, I should probably get going. I can tell you're tired, and I don't want to cause you any further trouble." Luckily, being observant about other people was one of the things Kairn was good at. He was generally quite good at dealing with the feelings of others, which, once again, set him apart from Lucien/Levi. Still, he had to work on conveying his own feelings properly in certain situations. He proceeded to the front door of Andrew's home, "I'll call Mr. Mariane about the delivery on Monday, so bye until then!" With that, 'Lucien' left Andrew's house and hurried off down the street, hastily erasing the smile from his face when he noticed an old woman staring at him strangely.
~---~
"Levi! I'm home!" Kairn called out as he entered the apartment, shutting the door behind him and being careful to lock it. When no reply came, he called out again. "Levi? Are you ignoring me? Where are you?" "He went out with Riley." The reply came from the kitchen; Alexis was still in the hotel room. She strode out into the hallway where Kairn was standing, a frown now upon his face. "Sorry babe, but he also left orders for you to be under house arrest. I'm your babysitter, so, if I were you, I would just sit tight for the next several hours and make my job easy."

| The people who did know Levi and Kairn, which was actually barely any, did usually find them extremely strange. Levi was mature, yet was younger, while Kairn was immature, yet was older. There were plausible explanations for it, however. Levi, thanks to Lilith's curse, grew up knowing the darker side of things and developed a more cruel, cold personality, while Kairn ended up leading a more sheltered life, with Levi/Lucien protecting him from experiencing the more unpleasant side of life. That, and they were polar opposites from birth, Kairn being the good one, while Lucien was...well, evil. Regardless, Kairn grew up to be a childish, innocent figurehead who only did what he was told, while Lucien/Levi grew up, sort of, to be a merciless, coldblooded criminal ringleader who really didn't seem to care who got hurt in the process of getting what he wanted. So, yeah; they were pretty messed up. "Eh?" He froze when Andrew accused him of not being Lucien. They may have been brothers, but Levi would be absolutely furious if Andrew found out about it thanks to Kairn. At the very least, Levi would probably try to shoot him, he might regret it later, but he would hurt Kairn if he got angry enough. Not to mention the fact that he would force Kairn to spend a month or so at the family estate while he 'patched things up'. It had only happened once before, but Levi's reaction had frightened him greatly. He had pulled a gun on Kairn when he had tried to refuse leaving, and given him the same icy, cold, merciless stare he would've given someone he intended to kill. He had been scared, so he left. When he got back three months later, the apartment had been trashed, people had feared him more than ever, and the person who had accidentely discovered their secret had gone missing. Permanently. For those three months, it appeared as though the city had been ruled by an iron fist, who was none too happy. The police, under orders from Levi, were not even searching for the missing person. Kairn didn't want that to happen to Andrew. A frown met the teen's lips. "What are you talking about? Of course I'm Lucien. Do you honestly think Levi would let me act this way out in public? It's thanks to him I have the reputation that I do." Miraculously, it sounded sincere. Kairn hated lying, so it usually sounded fake, but if he wanted to lie desperately enough, he could get away with a half-lie. "In a way, I suppose Levi is my hidden, cruel side, and that's exactly why I'm worried about him." "Oh, I didn't consider that..." The smile returned to his face as Andrew began suggesting ideas. "Ordering something from Mr. Mariane is a good idea; is there a specific time I should call him at?" Luckily, since he did live with Levi and all, he was generally used to worse insults. In fact, most of the time he didn't even notice he was being insulted until someone pointed out if it wasn't terribly obvious. "I apologize for not being very prepared by the way; I'm afraid I'm really not useful for much other than acting." Unfortunately, it was more or less true. He was pretty good at doing things like cooking though, and he was considerably more sensitive towards the feelings of others than Levi.
~-OOC-~ Now I really can't wait for when Levi turns back into Lucien; Andrew will probably thing Kairn has a split personality or something XD

| Unfortunately, Kairn using his name would be another reason for Levi to be angry. When Kairn acted all nice and such as 'Lucien', it tended to make people fear the name 'Lucien Sterling' less and less, thus irritating Levi whenever he was temporarily Lucien. Kairn just couldn't act like Levi/Lucien unless forced though, it wasn't in his nature to be mean. "I don't think he hates you, he probably just wasn't in a good mood and accidently took it out on you." 'Lucien's' eyes widened when at Andrew's quiet reply, and a smile broke out across his face. Without thinking, he impulsively hugged the blonde. "Thank you! I promise you won't regret th-" He paused when he realized he had hugged Andrew, and hastily released him. "Um...sorry about that, I...kind of got carried away. Sorry." Yep, 'Lucien' truely was the exact opposite of Levi. "What now...? Um...well...we...uh..." He smiled sheepishly. "I...didn't really think this fully through. I kind of thought you'd reject the idea at first, so...I actually have no idea how to make this work." 'Lucien' paused for a moment to think before continuing. "People usually make friends at school, but that wouldn't work because today is a Saturday and Levi doesn't go to your school...aha!" His eyes lit up with excitement. "I know! We could enroll Levi at your school-ah, but he's only thirteen so you wouldn't be in the same grade...and he would probably just get expelled..." "Hmm....oh! You could meet in the street when a horrifying monster appears and join forces to defeat it! Although it might be difficult to find a monster..." By now, it was probably clear he was just taking ideas from television shows and anime shows. He could be about as sharp as a bowling ball sometimes. For a few minutes, he continued to throw out a few more ridiculous ideas, like Andrew falling down a well into the Fuedal Era where Levi tried to kill him but they became friends anyway. "Or...you could go grocery shopping with me, Levi, and Alexis, and me and Alexis could conveniently become lost, at which point you and Levi would have to work together to find us." Surprisingly enough, it wasn't a half bad idea, especially compared to the other ones he had been suggesting. If Andrew wanted to use that idea, however, he would have to speak up before 'Lucien' began babbling about useless ideas again.
