| Kairn smiled lightly, "Oh, I almost forgot, I talked to Mr. Mariane and explained the situation. He did seem upset, but your job should be okay if that's what you're worrying about." He stood from the couch (which they magically appeared on somewhere during that discussion XD), as if preparing to leave. "Well, I should probably get going. I can tell you're tired, and I don't want to cause you any further trouble." Luckily, being observant about other people was one of the things Kairn was good at. He was generally quite good at dealing with the feelings of others, which, once again, set him apart from Lucien/Levi. Still, he had to work on conveying his own feelings properly in certain situations. He proceeded to the front door of Andrew's home, "I'll call Mr. Mariane about the delivery on Monday, so bye until then!" With that, 'Lucien' left Andrew's house and hurried off down the street, hastily erasing the smile from his face when he noticed an old woman staring at him strangely.
~---~
"Levi! I'm home!" Kairn called out as he entered the apartment, shutting the door behind him and being careful to lock it. When no reply came, he called out again. "Levi? Are you ignoring me? Where are you?" "He went out with Riley." The reply came from the kitchen; Alexis was still in the hotel room. She strode out into the hallway where Kairn was standing, a frown now upon his face. "Sorry babe, but he also left orders for you to be under house arrest. I'm your babysitter, so, if I were you, I would just sit tight for the next several hours and make my job easy."
~-OOC-~ Would you mind if we did another time skip? |

| The people who did know Levi and Kairn, which was actually barely any, did usually find them extremely strange. Levi was mature, yet was younger, while Kairn was immature, yet was older. There were plausible explanations for it, however. Levi, thanks to Lilith's curse, grew up knowing the darker side of things and developed a more cruel, cold personality, while Kairn ended up leading a more sheltered life, with Levi/Lucien protecting him from experiencing the more unpleasant side of life. That, and they were polar opposites from birth, Kairn being the good one, while Lucien was...well, evil. Regardless, Kairn grew up to be a childish, innocent figurehead who only did what he was told, while Lucien/Levi grew up, sort of, to be a merciless, coldblooded criminal ringleader who really didn't seem to care who got hurt in the process of getting what he wanted. So, yeah; they were pretty messed up. "Eh?" He froze when Andrew accused him of not being Lucien. They may have been brothers, but Levi would be absolutely furious if Andrew found out about it thanks to Kairn. At the very least, Levi would probably try to shoot him, he might regret it later, but he would hurt Kairn if he got angry enough. Not to mention the fact that he would force Kairn to spend a month or so at the family estate while he 'patched things up'. It had only happened once before, but Levi's reaction had frightened him greatly. He had pulled a gun on Kairn when he had tried to refuse leaving, and given him the same icy, cold, merciless stare he would've given someone he intended to kill. He had been scared, so he left. When he got back three months later, the apartment had been trashed, people had feared him more than ever, and the person who had accidentely discovered their secret had gone missing. Permanently. For those three months, it appeared as though the city had been ruled by an iron fist, who was none too happy. The police, under orders from Levi, were not even searching for the missing person. Kairn didn't want that to happen to Andrew. A frown met the teen's lips. "What are you talking about? Of course I'm Lucien. Do you honestly think Levi would let me act this way out in public? It's thanks to him I have the reputation that I do." Miraculously, it sounded sincere. Kairn hated lying, so it usually sounded fake, but if he wanted to lie desperately enough, he could get away with a half-lie. "In a way, I suppose Levi is my hidden, cruel side, and that's exactly why I'm worried about him." "Oh, I didn't consider that..." The smile returned to his face as Andrew began suggesting ideas. "Ordering something from Mr. Mariane is a good idea; is there a specific time I should call him at?" Luckily, since he did live with Levi and all, he was generally used to worse insults. In fact, most of the time he didn't even notice he was being insulted until someone pointed out if it wasn't terribly obvious. "I apologize for not being very prepared by the way; I'm afraid I'm really not useful for much other than acting." Unfortunately, it was more or less true. He was pretty good at doing things like cooking though, and he was considerably more sensitive towards the feelings of others than Levi.
~-OOC-~ Now I really can't wait for when Levi turns back into Lucien; Andrew will probably thing Kairn has a split personality or something XD

| Unfortunately, Kairn using his name would be another reason for Levi to be angry. When Kairn acted all nice and such as 'Lucien', it tended to make people fear the name 'Lucien Sterling' less and less, thus irritating Levi whenever he was temporarily Lucien. Kairn just couldn't act like Levi/Lucien unless forced though, it wasn't in his nature to be mean. "I don't think he hates you, he probably just wasn't in a good mood and accidently took it out on you." 'Lucien's' eyes widened when at Andrew's quiet reply, and a smile broke out across his face. Without thinking, he impulsively hugged the blonde. "Thank you! I promise you won't regret th-" He paused when he realized he had hugged Andrew, and hastily released him. "Um...sorry about that, I...kind of got carried away. Sorry." Yep, 'Lucien' truely was the exact opposite of Levi. "What now...? Um...well...we...uh..." He smiled sheepishly. "I...didn't really think this fully through. I kind of thought you'd reject the idea at first, so...I actually have no idea how to make this work." 'Lucien' paused for a moment to think before continuing. "People usually make friends at school, but that wouldn't work because today is a Saturday and Levi doesn't go to your school...aha!" His eyes lit up with excitement. "I know! We could enroll Levi at your school-ah, but he's only thirteen so you wouldn't be in the same grade...and he would probably just get expelled..." "Hmm....oh! You could meet in the street when a horrifying monster appears and join forces to defeat it! Although it might be difficult to find a monster..." By now, it was probably clear he was just taking ideas from television shows and anime shows. He could be about as sharp as a bowling ball sometimes. For a few minutes, he continued to throw out a few more ridiculous ideas, like Andrew falling down a well into the Fuedal Era where Levi tried to kill him but they became friends anyway. "Or...you could go grocery shopping with me, Levi, and Alexis, and me and Alexis could conveniently become lost, at which point you and Levi would have to work together to find us." Surprisingly enough, it wasn't a half bad idea, especially compared to the other ones he had been suggesting. If Andrew wanted to use that idea, however, he would have to speak up before 'Lucien' began babbling about useless ideas again.

| "Ah, w-wait..." He was about to voice his objection to coming inside, however it didn't seem like she heard him. Once inside he just kind of stood around awkwardly, once again questioning his decision to come here. Of course, when Andrew came down the stairs, all of this was forgotten. A smile met his lips. "No problem, it was the least I could do after the way my brother acted. Your name is Andrew, right? I'm K-ah, um...Lucien. My name is Lucien Sterling. It's a pleasure to meet you Andrew." After hearing 'Lucien' speak, Andrew would probably be utterly surprised. It was usually difficult for people to believe that he was related to Levi, jsut because he was pretty much his polar opposite. "Actually, I kind of came here for another reason as well." He paused, hesitating before continuing. "First of all, I would like to apologize for Levi's behaviour. He really is a kind person, just in a...different way. I'm certain he feels bad about what happened...probably." 'Lucien' smiled nervously, "Anyway, I really don't mean to pester you, but I would like to ask an extremely important favour of you. Before you say no, please just hear me out first." The teen paused before continuing, allowing Andrew a bit of time to nod or agree to hear him out. "Alright, well, I'm really worried about my brother because he doesn't have any friends around his own age and, I'm sure you've noticed this already, he's definitely too mature for his age. A lot of people don't like him because of that, and I can't help but worrying that he's lonely or something. So...how do I put this without it sounding weird...?" He paused for a moment to think. "Okay, well, I know you just met him and all, and your first impression really wasn't that good, but I think you would maybe make a good friend for him, just because he did seem to kinda sorta like you...maybe. So, as long as you don't mind Andrew, would you please consider trying to be friends with Levi? I swear nothing will go wrong, but, if you still don't want to do it, I would understand. He can be a little mean, and stubborn, and snobbish, and ill-tempered sometimes...b-but I just know having a friend, at least just one, would improve his mood and make him more friendly!"
~-OOC-~ Kairn doesn't actually know about the whole Lilith thing by the way, he just thinks Lucien has some type of growth disorder, and he's too much of a sweetheart to question it or anything. He just goes with the flow most of the time and stumbles along blindly XD

| Levi had only just gotten out of the front door when Andrew ran right past him. At first, his thought process was pretty much along the lines of 'good riddance', however, after he caught a glimpse of the blonde's face as he fled, a teensy bit of guilt did spark up. He knew he had been overly harsh, and the blonde hadn't deserved his wrath, but...it was all for the better, right? Yes; it was better if Andrew thought he hated him, because it would prevent them from coming into contact again. He hesitated, then returned to the hotel room. In his breif absence, Alexis and Riley had taken the liberty of explaining to situation fully to Kairn. Levi found the backpack in the living room, and brought it to the kitchen, handing it to Riley. "Deliver this to Mariane's store." With that, he turned around, and found Kairn blocking his path. "You're not going to drop it off yourself? But why? Aren't you going to apologi-" "For what? I did nothing wrong. Now, move Kairn." His tone was sharp; he was in no mood to discuss this with his brother. Kairn frowned, "Lucien! You can't just leave things like this! It's not right! That kid looked really hurt!" "I could care less." He pushed past Kairn, proceeding towards the living room. "I don't have time to deal with children; I have important work to do." "Fine then, be a heartless jerk!" Kairn clenched his hands, then snatched the back pack from Riley. "I'll just go find him and apologize for you, since you obviously don't have any manners!" With that, Kairn headed towards the front door, slamming it on his way out.
~---~
After retrieving Andrew's address from Mr. Mariane, thanks mainly due to the fact the man had thought he was Lucien, he walked all the way to the blonde's house. Unfortunately, Kairn hated driving, so he pretty much either had someone else drive him, or walked. Today, in order not to attract attention, which didn't really work since people stared at him anyway, he had decided to walk. That, and he usually walked when he was upset with his brother in order to calm down. Unlike Lucien/Levi, Kairn was pretty much nice to everyone, became nervous easily, and panicked easily. He also became upset relatively easily when it involved Levi/Lucien not being kind to others. Kairn hesitated at the door of the house, contemplating whether or not bringing the backpack all the way here was really the right thing to do. After a moment, he finally knocked on the door and waited for someone to come down and answer the door.

| Currently, there was actually only four voices. One clearly belonged to Alexis, one clearly belonged to Riley, and one clearly belonged to Levi, however the fourth was a complete mystery. It did sound vaguely similar to Levi's though. At the moment, Alexis was arguing with Levi and the mystery voice, with Riley interjecting every now and then. "...just phoned to tell him! I didn't expect him to show up..." "For some reason, I doubt that." "I-it's not Alex's fault! I came back because I was worried..." "Be quiet." "B-but..." "I tried to stop her, but she just ignored me!" "Quiet Riley." "You're just in a bad mood because of that kid, and you know it. You know who he resembles, you just don't want to acknowledge it." "Enough." "Um...what kid?" "Don't ask. Just go wait in the living room; we'll figure out what to do after I change." There was the sound of footsteps coming towards the door of Levi's bedroom. "Why is there a chair in front of the door? Is there something you would care to tell me Alexis? Or maybe Riley would like to explain?" "No. Nothing at all. Right Riley?" "R-right..." Levi removed the chair from under the door handle and slowly opened the door. Upon seeing Andrew, he froze in place, then slowly closed the door again. There was the sound of footsteps once again. "Levi? Where are you going?" The mystery voice questioned, the second set of footsteps likely belonging to him. "Out." "I'll come with-" "No. Stay here. I'll be back in a while." With that, the front door closed and Levi departed. If Andrew came out of the bedroom, he would find Alexis and Riley in the kitchen, and 'Lucien' (Kairn) standing near the front door.
