Watching Worlds

I gazed upon the bluebird singing,
as if he thought time would end.
I watch the lovers while their strolling,
Hoping one day to be one of them.
I’ve watched this world with tired eyes,
The eyes that harbor a small child.
I’ve wished my life to end many times.
But have always found my way out.
So now as lay in the tall green grass.
I watch the world with just a small glance.
For what was once distressing,
Fell from my view.
For what once caught my eye,
There is now only you.
I’ve found my world,
The thing I desire to watch.
My reason being
And my reason to walk.
Even if it’s only a glance,
Even just a second or two.
I want you to look this way
And stop my world to.
