Life or death(private)

Toukou closed her eyes as she listened to what he was saying, trying to see him in that kind of lifestyle. And in all honesty, it was a little hard for her to do. Darkness settled over her mind, and she stopped it from going too far by opening her eyes. She smiled faintly and shook her head. "Not at all. It sounds like the dream of a maturing man, that finally knows what he wants out of life."

"I always told myself I'd quit my line of work if I found the right someone. If I do I'd start a family go to college and live life the way it's meant to be with the one I really love. In the past women were too afraid to go near me and you're the first whose shown more then they ever did. I really am falling in love with you more and more" Said Shimei as he held her hand in his. He looked at her his face turned pink as he said "You think I'm silly don't you? Having such a dream. But it's something I've always wanted since I was a boy....."

"And definitely not such a rich girl either. Thinking like most of my uppity friends, they wouldn't give you the time of day. They would say you are too scruffy, live in squalor, and have a very undesirable job.... or lack thereof. But unlike my friends, I am merely spoiled by my father. I have worked before, and actually gone to college on my own merits. I have not let people like my father, turn me into such a hateful person." Blinking slowly, she closed her eyes with a sigh. "I ever thought that I would find a guy outside or the rich circuit. hose guys are too soft, and many are whiny babies.... It is hard for me to believe that I have fallen so hard and so quickly, for a stranger I met by accident...."

Shimei pulled away and slumped down on the bed beside her. "Now I'm starting to see why they say love on first sight.... " He hugged her close and said, "Honestly never thought I'd find a girl who makes my heart skip a beat every so often.

With as much as she found herself enjoying the kiss, she also found herself feeling a little.... sad. But why would she feel sad? She was so confused, so she concentrated solely on the mysterious stranger she found herself falling hopelessly in love with.

Shimei laughed and caught the pillow. Setting it aside he suddenly pinned her to the bed and said, "I'm telling the truth.... You're very beautiful and seeing you like this makes me want you even more...." He then pressed his lips to hers and kissed her deeply.

She yelped and tossed a pillow at his face, pressing her hands over her chest, her heart beating rapidly, a bright blush springing up on her pale skin. "Y-You shouldn't tell lies like that!" She muttered lowly, rubbing her hands quickly over her face in an effort to eradicate the blush on her face. After a minute, she brought her hands down enough to look shyly at him. "T-That's not true.... Is it? I'm a mess....."

"What's there not to love... Everything about you is beautiful to me... And every time I see you I want you more and more..." Said Shimei opening his eyes and smiling at her. "You got that flare that makes you drop dead gorgeous" He teased with a smirk.

Youkou woke up slowly, immediately mindful that he was there. Blinking slowly, she sat up and pushed a rough hand through her messy hair. "Again you see me a mess.... How could you even remotely like someone that looks such a mess?" She muttered, pulling at her hair gently so she could look at it, a frown on her sleepy face.

Shimei lay her down gently and kissed her forehead softly. Tucking the blanket around her he pulled up a chair and just sat there so she felt his presence and would be at ease. But he ended up nodding off himself.

"They came in a large group.... So many men and so many dangerous weapons.... Bright flashes of lights, screaming...." She muttered in her sleep, wincing as she found herself trying to tap into the part of her mind that was the cause of the nightmare. But the pain was too much, and she hid her face against his chest. "Too much blood.... No more...." She muttered, somehow slipping back into sleep's embrace.

Shimei came running in gun drawn worried someone was trying to kill her. Seeing her laying there in bed though and no one else he set the weapon down on her dresser before going over to her. He pulled her into his arms and stroked her head trying to calm her. "Shh it's okay... " He soothed softly and felt her calm down in his arms. He sighed and rubbed his head wondering what hell she had gone through to experience such a nightmare.

For all of the night and most of the next day, she wasn't seen coming from her room. All three wolves were laying around her door, jerking straight from sleep any time they thought they heard some movement coming from her room. It was about three in the afternoon that the wolves rushed downstairs, ears flat against their heads and tails tucked between their legs, as a scream came from Youkou's room. She was tangled up in the sheets and her covers, apparently trapped in a pretty bad nightmare.

Shimei opened his eyes and looked at her saying, "Sorry I guess your pillow is wet from my head..." He sat up and looked at her before he stood up and said, "I'll go to my own room now. Come on Jasmin." He then went to leave with his cat following behind him.

She had come up to her room to get a book, when she spotted him on the bed. She watched him for a minute, not knowing why she felt such fear gripping at her heart enough to make her physically hurt. Shaking her head, she walked over and sat on the edge of the bed, watching him with a puzzled expression as she gently pet Jasmine.

Shimei went and finished up and got out draining the tub. Once he had dried off he went into the room and slipped on the robe. Seeing Jasmin slink into the room he sat on the edge of the bed and ended up falling asleep with her curled up next to him on the bed.

She turned off the water and grabbing a washrag, she knelt beside the tub and began to wash away blood from his neck and his hair, her expression unreadable as she did so. Sighing, she dropped the rag into the water and put some special shampoo in her hands, she slowly started to work it through his hair. "You are more reckless than a newborn fawn. How you can amass so many bruises and such internal damage in twenty-four hours baffles me." She went quiet for a long time before standing to where she was bending at the knees, looking down at him. "You should finish on your own. I am going to lay out a long dark-blue robe for you to wear on my bed." She went silent for a minute, before leaning down and passing her lips over his. "You should be more careful." Standing, she rinsed her hands off in the sink and then left the bathroom, laying the robe on her bed before going back downstairs.

Shimei blushed but stripped down and slowly eased himself into the tub wincing. "Ah damn... " He said as he was finally sitting. He just leaned his head back and sighed closing his eyes as he let the warm water sooth his aching body.

Noel, the silver-and-black pelted wolf walked up, growling but he stopped dead in his tracks when he realized that the 'intruder' was the man his 'momma' had brought home the day before. Turning, he disappeared up the stairs, and a minute later he came back down, a blank expressioned Youkou behind him. Pulling up her hair, she grabbed his hand and started to pull him up the stairs and into her own bathroom, pointing at the tub that was currently being fulled with water. "Strip and get in."

Shimei looked a bit sad and he sighed muttering, "Honestly what's so insane about liking a guy..." He then went back to his room. Later that night he had disappeared from the home after getting a job thanks to Kat filling him in. He hoped to be home before morning but that wasn't going to happen. His target was well aware of him and was fighting back very well. It wasn't till late the next afternoon he had finished the job and came walking back through the gates a bit of a mess. He was covered in dried blood which was a mix of his own and the people he had killed. He was sore after getting caught in quite a fight which resulted in him getting beat up badly. Entering the house Jasmine came running up and he picked her up with a smile as he said, "Hey there girl did you miss daddy..."

She stared at him for a long time, her expression pretty much blank. She raised her right hand swiftly, but it descended much slower, gently patting his cheek before resting against it as her expression turned confused. "Don't.... Don't do that. For my sanity and yours.... Don't do that." Her expression became a strange mix of guilt, fear, and confusion. Shaking her head, she turned and disappeared out of sight.

Shimei blushed but seemed to enjoy that. Grinning as she left he went tailing after her saying, "Hey now where you going? Teasing me and walking off like that." He pulled her into his arms and suddenly kissed her deeply once more before she could react. "You're so easy to get too you know that?" He teased as he pulled away.

She narrowed her eyes and walked up, glaring at him with her hands on her fists. Silent for a long time, she moved with surprising speed and pressed her lips to his. Stepping back, she scowled at him. "What an arrogant prick." Turning quickly, she left the room, her right hand pressed against her mouth as she headed for her room. Why the hell did she just do that?!

Shimei just grinned and said, "Maybe and don't pretend you didn't enjoy it. There's not an ounce of fat on me. Anyways I feel no need to lock my door because I know I can trust you."

She slowly sank to her knees, taking in several deep breaths, pressing her hands against her face, muttering to herself as she tried to calm her racing thoughts and heart. "You... are.... an ass....." She muttered, letting her body give a full shudder before standing to her feet shakily. "What kind of guy doesn't lock his door when his changing, knowing a woman is in the same house?" Blinking slowly, she turned with her fists on her hips, a slight smirk on her lips. "Did you want to found like that?"
