"Oh, you'll be useful." Chase said with a nod of approval.

"Depends." Kidd said simply to her question as he continued on and muted the TV since he already had the information he needed. Chase continued on an elaborated, "Depends on who pays the higher rate. You see sweetheart. We're what you call mercenaries, guerrilla forces you know. We work for everyone." A laugh escaped him as she defended Kidd, "You've caught yourself a good one." He said as he glanced at the comp then stood taking out his phone and went to make a call over by the terrace.

Kidd's lips curved upward in a smile and he glanced up at her. It was nice to be in the presence of someone who didn't have a penis for once. Since at the base everyone is a guy he was guessing that was probably why he was taking a liking to her so quickly. She had a bold sense about her and some interesting tricks up her sleeve. "He'll let me keep you." he said.

"What?" Chase asked as he turned looking at him. To which Kidd just shook his head, "Nothing." he said lightly since he hadn't meant to say it aloud in the first place. Chase went back to his conversation on the porch and closed the sliding glass door behind him.

Kidd just looked to the tv without answering her question his hands ruffling his hair a bit as he leaned forward concentrating on the cc that was scrolling across the screen even though the tv wasn’t muted. Chase perked up a bit, “There’re four of us. Since everyone has a partner you see. Me and Sid this time around aaaaannnnd, you and Iruei.” he said with a wink to her.

“Calc, dayum, when do you graduate? You know how to hack?” Chase asked resting his feet on the table and crossing them at the ankles. “The boomerang...no I don’t know that one. You see while it is really cool, it’s completely useless in a fight you know. Don’t want to take any chances on chucking a blade at an enemy and having it come back without hitting its target, but I know how to do a trick called....what the fuck!” Chase exclaimed as Kidd pushed the males’ legs out of the way and leaned toward the table in one swift movement.

Then quick as a button Kidd hit a latch on the wooden table and from the end of either side slid the boards over. They split down the middle and extended the coffee table as the black screen in the middle showed. Then he pulled out the drawer and flipped up one of the sides hit a button and the screen clicked to life. He palmed his hand on the prompt then typed in his code on the keyboard that came from the drawer. “EADS baited...” he said pointing to the tv as a certain stock was rising.

“Hmm, they didn’t waste any time did they. They moved a lot earlier than anticipated. So, what name do you want to go by? Frankly you can’t use your real one in certain situations.” Chase said going right back to a convo with Clover as Kidd did whatever with stocks and tracking on the computer.

“You wanna see her naked don’t you?” Chase interjected randomly jabbing Kidd in the side. He twitched but he did glance up at Clover for a moment before glancing back at his computer, an endless cough stuff in his throat as he thought about it. He shook his head a bit as well trying to ignore Chase. “Ahaha you saw didn’t you, you thought about it didn’t you.”

“Shut up you’re distracting me.”

“I’m not distracting you her tits are.”

Kidd stopped moving for a moment and pursing his lips together as he took a deep breath then let it out slowly before continuing what he was doing; the screen now looking to have four or five different things going on at the same time.

“Don’t worry hun, I’m helping you so that you don’t get stuck in his rock zone. Boss is a very harsh trainer.” The male said with a nod.

“I have my own money and house. Not as much as him...but then again he’s been a pro for-fricken-ever so yeah.” Chase was having fun with her. Since Kidd wouldn’t indulge in the joking and loose conversation someone had too. As he listened to her he too finally finished eating and then Kidd took both of their plates and finished washing the rest of the dishes.

Meanwhile Chase continued his conversation as Kidd was looking for something in a side closet. “No problem. It’s actually better if everyone has an alias to go by. I think you’re the only one not using one at the moment no?”

Kidd shook his head no as he came back taking his seat on the couch next to Chase and pulled his injured leg over to him so that he could reclean and dress the wound on his leg. “You can stay but you don’t have to pay. There is no rent here. My home is your home. Just don’t touch my guns.” He shrugged “Knives suit, yourself.”

Chase winced a bit as his wound was tended to and he channel surfed before settling on a stocks channel. “Whatcha doin over there girlie? Homework? Man miss going to school, don’t you?”

Kidd shook his head still observing the wound that he had made, “I never attended.” He said simply as he bandaged up the males leg.

“Aww come on, give him a reason to blow his cash. Lately he’s only spent it on what? Clothes and food right?” the male asked though not really. It was pretty evident what he was spending his money on. Especially since his stomach was a dark whole.

“...cop...well...you’re good on whatever you choose. Hell, go ahead and do multiples.” He said the two of the quiet as they listened to her speak. The only other noise being the backdrop of the television. “Action ey...well that’s what I’m....that’s what he’s for.” The male said leaning over and giving the male a smack on the shoulder. “Right?” Though Kidd didn’t respond he was too busy eating. Well he was ctually just paying the male no mind.

“You and...Mitch? You and him have known each other for a while right? He seemed to be a bit high strung and loose on the casual threats. I’ll ignore it as his way of talking as mine is to tease, for now anyway. That cool with you.” He asked looking to the two of them. Kidd just shrugged having now finished his meal and set the plate upon the table before bringing his legs to his chest and sitting more into the corner of the couch waiting or more so observing.

“So do you have duffle bags and stuff at home?” Chase asked. “We won’t take everything, but enough so that you can be basically living here. Or if you’re not comfortable here Iruei can let you stay at his other aparto.”

Chase held the girls stare. She really was a loyal one so he figured he’d ease up on his teasing a bit.

Kidd finished cooking and made a plate for both Chase and himself. Though Clover said she wasn’t hungry he made plenty for her and for there to still be some leftover as well and put them in tubaware though left them on the counter for now in case someone had the munchies. Walking toward the two of them he set on of the plates down in front of Chase and the other next to it as he walked around and lifted the males feet so that he could sit down, though he allowed the male to rest his legs in his lap and used them more as a plate holder. Chase picked up his as well and began to eat with a ‘thanks’.

“There’s plenty more incase this isn’t enough...and there’s some for you as well Clover. You can’t survive properly off of only mac and cheese. You need protein.” Kidd said though he shifted some because the gun was digging.

“She’s good...with the knife.” Chase said a light smile on his face. “Since you’re going to be with this idiot for a while I can teach you some more tricks and some vital information. Being mixed up with us isn’t the safest so I’m still confused as to why you let her follow you around. Or why you did it in the first place.” Chase said as he turned back to look at Kidd who had a mouthful of food and was pretending he wasn’t in the conversation.

Kidd raised his eyebrows lightly, finished chewing, swallowed then looked from Clover to Chase and back and forth a few more times before settling on the latter, “I didn’t think that far ahead...actually my mind blanked so I wasn’t thinking about any consequences really. Sorry.” He said, the apology directed mainly at Clover.

“What was going on?”

“They were beating her...with a bat”

“So, people abuse people all the time. Doesn’t mean we get to play family liberator every time we see it. Jeesh it’s like you’re still holding ....nevermind......” He stopped talking and there was an awkward pause in there followed by an even longer silence, “my bad.” The male said as he removed his feet from the others lap, sitting Indian style on the couch as he went back to eating and Kidd did the same.

“We’ll leave in a couple of hours..it’s still too bright out. You’ll help us...crash here then do what you have to tomorrow.” Then as he ate he stared at Clover.

“Why are you looking at her like that?” Chase asked.

“What?”

“You’re staring...”

“No I wasn’t....her eyes just......they’re pretty.” He mumbled off lowly taking another bite.

Chase laughed lightly shaking his head. “So, you graduate this year right? What are you planning on studying to become? Since this idiot just protected you he can send you anywhere you want to go you know. Don’t let how we live full you, he’s loaded.”

Kidd shook his head no when she asked if he needed help. He was almost done sweeping and was getting ready to mop. Although Clover had already cleaned up the main mess of blood he sprayed something else over it and let it sit a while before he started mopping.

When Clover commented on her sleeping with Mitch Chase added in, “Wow, you get around. Is it my turn next? I’ll do you proud.” He joked as he leaned against the bar counter in the kitchen waiting for Kidd.

“Twenty-six.” Kidd answered simply to the question about his age as he finally started mopping. Chase let out a strangled laugh as Mitch choked him and continued to even after he let him go. “Aww, no one else gets any action? You should turn your attention on me girlie. I’m 21, closer to your age right. We can communicate better.” he said as he plopped himself on the couch, bringing both of his feet up so he could relax comfortably and chanced the channel on the TV to something more interesting.

“Big words. You should be careful who you threaten.” Chase said, his voice no longer the cheerful teasing that it had been only moments before. It now held and edge of something darker, more flat in tone. Kidd spared Mitch a glance from where he was putting up his cleaning supplies before he retreated to the bathroom to wash his hands and emerged again after she had given Chase some mac and cheese.

“Aww, that’s so sweet sweetheart.” He chimed accepting the mac and cheese. “But this isn’t nearly sufficient enough…I’m mad you’re just carrying these around though, heh.” A soft laugh escaped him just before he started to eat.

“I’ll make you something just eat that for now and be thankful. She didn’t have to share.” Kidd said as he went into the kitchen and started taking things out.

“Yeah, but you’ll never leave me hanging, you got my back.” He said before the two shared a look as if those words meant more then what he was implying; One that said that they understood each other. Chase smiled and Kidd looked away and went back to his cooking.

“We’re going to remove your belongings from your house in the cover of the dark tonight. Make it seem as though you’ve been living with me for a while. Do you know how to use a gun?” he asked turning his attention on her.

"You're lucky, at least she's legal age." Sid said fixing himself up and finally settling his weapons back into place. "Cradle robber." came Chase's voice, rich with laughter. He was really finding the whole thing amusing in itself. "He's not that old." Sid returned though it wasn't so much of a defense than a statement.

Kidd looked at them confused his face registering as if he was trying to remember doing something that he did not remember doing. "I didn't steal anyone's baby."

"It's no meant in literal terms."

"You're no bother." Kidd told her as he turned his attention to Chase who was now trying to find something in his room though had stopped when she just agreed and a snap of a finger to moving in with a grown man that she'd only known a day and that had killed her parents.

Chase stared at the two, "One: You are a fucking weird ass girl. Two: Just feeding her, is not enough. Three:" he looked down as he shifted his position. "Did you fuckin shoot me...without taking the safety off your glock?"

Kidd walked past him nodding his head yes as he went into his room to get the male another pair of pants. He settled on a pair of black sweatpants and tossed it to the male as he came back into the room listening to the male continue his rant on why he had a gun laying around without the safety on and so on and so forth. All things that he already but really didn't care much. Besides if you're sitting on the couch there's not much chance of you pulling the trigger even accidentally. Though all these things ran through his head he saw no need to explain. Instead he looked over everyone, "I don't mind if you all stay, but I seriously need to clean and you either all have to sit on the couch, go to the bedroom, or get out." he said the 'get out' part while looking at Chase.

"Yeah the feelings mutual buddie." the male said with a smirk on his face. By now Sid and Mitch had finished their talk by now and were filling everyone else in so that they were on the same page. Sid would do something about it, create fake alibis and witnesses if needed and take care of the problem. Since the bodies had been burned already it'd just turn into one of those mysteries but they should be fine. As for Clover he'd probably make something up like the two had known each other for a while and have been cohabiting so that should explain why she was not returning home.

"Oh speaking of bedrooms." Chase qued in as it should have been predicted. "Were did you sleep yesterday?"

"The bed." Kidd said

"And her?"

"The bed."

"So you slept together?"

"Yeah."

"HAH in your face Sid."

"Did you touch her?" Sid asked.

"I guess..since the bed isn't that big...so probably yeah." he replied.

Chase was rubbing his eyes and bridge of his nose with one of his hands as he leaned against the kitchen counter a sigh and an oh-my-god dredged out of him as he shook his head. "You're not even a man...I can't believe you had her in the bed without you and you didn't do anything. You're so...so....brainwashed."

Kidd didn't know what the hell he was talking about so he just ignored him for the most part as he got out a broom and dustpan and started to sweep the living room.

"We'll I'm going to leave. I''ll contact you in a couple of days." Sid said as he grabbed his shoes and slipped them on before opening the door. "You coming?" he asked. Chase shook his head, "Nah, I'll meet up with you later. Feed me." he directed at Kidd, who in turn just nodded. But he was going t o finish cleaning before cooking anything. Though he did ask if anyone else was hungry and if they wanted something.

Sid and Chase just stared at Kidd shaking their heads at his persistence with the cleaning. When Mich mentioned him trying to strip the male he glanced up at him then to Sid as if he were pondering it for a moment when the male just shook his head no. After he removed Mich’s shoes and set the aside he finally locked his door since he hadn’t been expecting anyone to enter since Sid’s appearance, and stood up backing off and allowing the male his space though now he was staring at the blood on the floor which he had done himself and was bitting at his bottom lip as the two conversed.

At the mention of her liking him Chase couldn’t help but interfere, “Oh ho ho, see what did I say.”

“Shut up, she's just a rock to him.” Sid retorted

"All men have basic instincts no matter how much it's pounded out of you." Chase began though when Sid's glare darkened he quickly shut up.

The three let the two of them talk and the next time he really tuned in to what was happening, everyones eyes was on him searching for an answer. Staring at Clover he really didn’t want her to go though he wasn’t quite sure why. He just liked having her around and he didn’t know Mich nor did he see him a a threat so that didn’t matter much, but then again this wasn’t under normal circumstances.

“You care if she lives?” Chase asked, Kidds attention now on him. He opened his mouth to answer then closed it because in a way depending on his answer it becomes a threat for a later time. Then he glanced at Mich and back to Sid. He wasn’t sure if the permission he’d been granted continued with his presence.

“You’re the one who cleaned up Kidds mess?” Sid asked, though it was more of a statement. “Doesn’t matter, everyone involved is here. We’ll make sure there’s no way to track it back to us, then we’ll deal with you three or more so you two, since you’re involved now.” He said as he shifted his position a little, “And you...” he said his attention on Kidd, “you idiot, with her parents gone how is she going to live and pay for what she needs payed for and get signed what she needs signed, she’s still a child, I believe......how old are you?”

“I’ll take care of her.” He mumbled.

“She’s not a puppy.” Chase said.

“Kitten?....no no... an otter.” He said decisively but obviously happy with it. The corner of his lip uptilting ever so lightly.

“....you...are an idiot, a fucking idiot.” He said as he struggled to his feet, “Imma kill him. Let me kill him.” He said lunging at him, though Kidd just side stepped him and ignored him as he stumbled past him.

“I can keep her...since she’s already involved. It’d my responsibility since it was my fault.” Kidd said taking a look around the room before settling on Sid.

“So you’re going to protect her?” he asked though they shared a long look.

“I’m not protecting her. I’m covering up my tracks, and she’s a smart girl. I might be able to use her at some point in time. It also makes things easier, since she knows some of the situation, and has connection like Mich, it can be useful.” Kidd said subtly protecting all three of them.

Sid’s eyes narrowed and Chase breathed out in disbelief, “Heh...you just pro..” “Ssh” it was Sid who cut him off, what was said was said. “Fine, we’ll do it your way. For now I’m going to need to know what you did with the bodies though. Even if you got rid of them the story just shows that the two suddenly went missing and that’s not going to work.” He said his attention now on Mich. “We’ll get the full story, straighten things out then leave. You’ll hear back from us on any changes ... and you can converse with these two but no one else. Chase get cleaned up so that you won’t draw attention to yourself.” He said as he stepped aside so that he and Mich could talk.

"Do you want to stay with me? I'll feed you." Kidd told Clover

Sid glanced to the girl, "It's only been one day and you're already sticking up for him? You trust too easily. Even so there's nothing you can do to help him, he knows better himself." he said as he glanced to the male."Why do you look so pissed?" Sid had asked as he watched Kidd stare at the ground.

"...I just washed this floor." he complained lightly though his voice was a lot more even the Chase's had been. Even when Kidd spoke he kept his emotions in check and didn't really let them shadow through in the tone of his voice.

Sid laughed lightly, a deep chuckle as he shook his head. Chase by now was just laying down with his head propped up on the floor, "That's what you get for shooting me." he said mockingly knowing how much it irritated him.

"Stop it Chase..." came Sids voice from the wall as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Why are you so calm? and you...You should be more worried about what the boss is going to say. When we report back, he's going to have your ass~" the blond laughed thinking of what could happen.

"Can you not be so loose lipped around her, I don't want to have to kill her too." kidd mentioned as he went back into the closet in the kitchen. He heard the footsteps before he heard the knob turn much as Chase had and the three of them stared at the door to watch Mich running through. Before he was even inside Kidd had his gun on him from behind the bar/island and kept it on him as he ran inside. Sid didn't move so much as just watching and observing what was going on and Chase just stared his gun too pointed at the male though he hadn't moved from his laying position.

As the two communicated the three of them just watched, getting what was going on from their conversation though the pinkie thing was completely over Kidds head. But that was the last thing he was worried about, by now he was extremely aggravated. He could care less about the weapons , and the blood on his floor he could deal with since he caused that himself, but for the third time there was someone in his house without taking off their shoes and it annoyed him more then it should have.

Storming over to Mich with the most silent of steps he walked around Clover so that he was in front of the male when he grabbed the gun in a hold that wouldn’t matter if he pulled the trigger or not and at the same time pointed his own gun firmly into the males chest and walked forward to force him back. He pressed him until his back his the wall in about the same pattern that the male took the whole way through the house then, keeping his hand on his guests’ gun and slipping his own in the front of his pants he knelt and started undoing the males shoe laces.

“I don’t think I am…and your also asking too many questions, I don’t like trying to be reasoned with when you’re not giving me anything productive.” Chase stood to hit her; the chair rolled back toward the door some though he paused when he heard something. Turning his attention to the door he stared and waited as it opened. Kidd stepped in staring at Chase then glancing down to Clover then back to Chase and the door as he walked over to the shoe rack and put his shoes away. “I didn’t come alone…I know your little door trick.” The male said as he straightened his posture.

“Hey bro…” Chase started but was ignored as Kidd started cleaning the floor. When Chase walked toward him gun in hand he just pushed him back from the spot he’d been cleaning and glared at him then at the shoes that where still on his feet and pushed him back again, closer to where he had already been standing. “Dude seriously, you’re such a neat freak what the hell.” He complained as he took off his shoes and set them in the cupboard as he did the same to Clover. Chase took the time to sit and watch him clean the rest waiting patiently while shaking his head slowly. Once he was finished with the floors Chase tried again, “What the hell do you think you’re doing killing blind?”

Kidd glanced at him then went to wash his hands. Even if he wanted to that was not a question that he could answer, because he himself didn’t even know why the hell he had did what he did. After drying his hands he went to the Clover and put a hand around her back and hooked his other under her legs as he picked her up and walked her to the couch before setting her down. His body was clean of any smudges but smelled of oil and gasoline from the cars that he worked on earlier today.

“Hey..you lil fucker are you ignoring me? B/c I’ll shoot your girl.” He threatened aiming the gun at Clover. Kidd just set her down on the couch leaning over her a bit forcing her back as he stuck his hand down in the crack aiming a gun at Chase.

“You wouldn’t shoot me you….owww WHT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU” the male yelled as Kidd took no hesitation to fire shooting the male in the leg. Though he did pull the trigger there wasn’t much of a sound since it had a silencer as did Chase’s. Walking over to the fallen male that was holding his leg he took the gun rfom him as another entered the room hastily gun aimed at the both of them. Kidd raised both of the guns to the male but lowered them after seeing who it was.

“SID..this lil fucker.” Chase cried kicking kid with his other foot causing him to stumble some though he just half crawled away from him. The male now known as Sid just shook his head. He had dark brown hair cut into a business man like style. After the three had settled down he removed his shoes though he left his at the door.
“See this is why I didn’t want you to come. I just knew that you where going to do something stupid.” The male said calmly as he nodding in acknowledgment to Kidd. “Iruei give him back his gun, wrap the wound and both of you stand down.” Kidd did as he was told and Chase stopped his complaining though now he was more or less pouting.

Sid walked further into the room, glancing at Clover before returning his sights on the other two .”What did she tell you?” he asked. “Nothing.” Chase replied. “Why’d you do it without notifying anyone and who is she...answer.” He said as he leaned against the wall.

“My body just reacted. No clear reason as to why. My apologies.” It was Kidd who answered before going over to Clover and cutting the tape off her hands and ankles, though the latter took a little more time. “She has nothing to do with it, she just sort of followed me and I allowed it.”

“I should’ve known not to send you out here alone. Still you don’t fire on allies.”

“Sorry…but it’s just a flesh wound.” The first part was directed to Chase and the second to Sid.

Chase smiled then, “Kidd…that’s right they are calling him that around here. Fits the naive guy well but he does need to grow up.” He said more to himself then to her. He was actually quiet tired and didn’t feel like making much of an effort to get the why’s out of her. Picking up his gun and holding it in his right hand, the gogert in his left he leaned back in the chair his attention going back to a comedy show that was on. “Are you hungry?” he asked her, “Gotta go the the bathroom?” he inquired rocking lightly though he stopped abruptly arching his head in her direction once a commercial came on. “Why are you hanging out with the guy who iced your ‘rents?” he asked. Now that more so then the why’s was a question that he wanted answered b/c no matter how you looked at it it was weird.

Chase turned in his chair and stared at her, amusement on his face as he watched her little show but he figured he’d play around if she wanted too, he had plenty of time to spare. “Aww baby doll, need a tissue?” he asked but he wasn’t going to give her one. “I figured I’d keep you since I took the time to hunt you down. That’s why I’m called Chase.” Lacing his fingers together he leaned forward in his chair his short spiked blond hair perfectly gelled into place. His face softened as though he was giving her sympathy though his dark brown eyes were hard and cold. “You must’ve been so sad though. Yet you managed to return to school the very next day. So much for mourning right.” His voice held an edge of teasing to it.

Standing he walked into the kitchen opening Kidds refrigerator raiding it freely as he spoke, “Do you want to stay with this weak story Clover? I can play along, it doesn’t really bother me. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a play….ooh this kid just buys whatever.” He said as he came back with a gogert, retaking his seat. Leaning forward slightly he reached behind his back and came back with a gun. Setting it on the floor he spun it a bit just out of her reach, "but, I'm going to need more then your river of tears eventually or I'll have no choice but to get rid of you."
