PostSubject: If Tears Could Build A Stairway   Kitsune's Poems EmptyThu Nov 11, 2010 6:06 pm

Just a note I did not write this, nor do I know the author of it. It has helped me through hard times in my life and I love it. So I'm going to post it. It's a very good poem with a lot of meaning in it.

If Tears Could Build A Stairway

If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again

No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why

Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know

But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store

Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay

PostSubject: Will you Answer?   Kitsune's Poems EmptyThu Nov 11, 2010 12:50 pm

Will You Answer?

A noise is heard that startles the weakened soul. An owl hoots its warning of danger along this path you walk. But you do not listen. You do not even hear it. The noise, it is close now. The leaves under your feet crunch as you draw closer to it. Will you not listen? The hooting, the voices, the noise. Do you not hear it? Do you hear the creaking of the old wood stairs under your feet as you ascend to the door? Will you listen now? With your heart pounding, your hands shaking, the owl hoots again. You jump with a start. A long breath is drawn out. Are you listening? Grab the handle. Turn it slowly. Push it back. Do you hear the slow moaning of the door opening ever so slightly to let you in? Darkness. Will you listen to it? Will you go farther? Will you run and hide? Do you dare test the reaches of your faith? The noise, it rushes at you. The lights jump on in a spark of might. And there you stand at the foot of God. Will you answer?

PostSubject: Unexpected Gues   Kitsune's Poems EmptyThu Nov 11, 2010 12:47 pm

Unexpected Guest

Sitting in an arm chair as comfortable as ever my mind playing tricks on me as I stare off into space. I laugh and enjoy the conversations we share as I stare out the door. Is that I bird I see? No it couldn’t be. But when I look up again, to my surprise, I see a small figure fly by. I watch it slowly move ever closer and when I finally find my voice I say quickly. “Look. There’s a bat in the house.”
The faces around me look puzzled and confused. The all think I’m crazy, but when they see it too. They scream and reach for blankets. Looking for protection from this little fellow. It flies by one more time and around the room. We all duck and wonder why, how, and who.
Flying in circles eluding the broom for fear of being hit and sent to his doom. With blankets over our heads we all scream and almost laugh. For this little surprise is more than a joke. For it was our company that night. It stayed until we grew tired of it hovering. We opened the door telling it it’s time to go. But when it didn’t budge we all stood up and left. For I in the kitchen could see it all clearly. He stubbornly waited to fallow Ashley dearly.
Her scent he loved but in vain for he fallowed her out the door and she waved him on forever more.
When it was all over and done. We sat down again and laughed. Calling up all we know. Because the little bat we found gave us more then a fright, but a night to remember for ever more. So I sit here to relax with my eyes focused on the door. For who will know when an unexpected guest will occur.

PostSubject: I bow my head and Pray   Kitsune's Poems EmptyThu Nov 11, 2010 12:45 pm

I bow my head and pray for thee.
I lift my eyes to see.
You’re standing before me like a judge.
I look away with shame and guilt.
I weep for forgiveness of these sins I’ve made.
I weep for help threw the pain.
I bow my head and pray for thee.
I lift my eyes and see.
The sins I’ve made stand before me now.
I repent them all.
I beg forgiveness and plead my guilt.
With tears of sadness I bow my head to pray.
I life my eyes and see thy way.
You’ve granted me peace and justice in this life.
I put down my fears and shame.
I walk the path the same as before but yet changed.
Lightened and forever more I bow my head to pray to thee.
I life my eyes and see you’re standing beside me now.
Holding my hand now, keep me close to you.
I’ve never going to turn back again.
Not when I know the freedom that lies ahead.

PostSubject: First Kiss   Kitsune's Poems EmptyThu Nov 11, 2010 12:42 pm

I know you won’t ever remember my name, or want to call me up just to say “Hey”,
But on day you will remember this;
You where the first guy, the first boy, the first friend
I would ever run to in my time of need.
I could count on you no matter what.
I trusted you and gave you everything in my heart.
Which in return you destroyed and broke apart.
You left me alone, afraid and unloved.
You left me with more questions then answers.
More pains than lovely memories.
More sorrow than I ever wanted.
Every no and again I wish that we would have never met,
But I know that’s not what we meant when she shared this promise;
To hold each other tightly, never let go or look back.
To keep our hearts joined as one,
But when it was all done.
We found out that nothing turns out the same as in out dreams.
We move on as the times change.
But why now…
Do I look back and wished I would have finished off that
First kiss…

PostSubject: Kitsune's Poems   Kitsune's Poems EmptyThu Nov 11, 2010 12:40 pm

This poem is one of my favorites. Hope you all like it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Colors fill the darkness as I lay in bed at night. Dreaming of a better place where the sun shines bright and warms the frozen heart that was once mine. Black changes to white and I find myself staring at a blank canvas before me.
Can I do this?
Can I start a new life and not end up with the murky outcome of before?
I ask myself over and over and then in a sudden burst of joy and achievement. I pick up the brush and find a new set of colors before me now.
Which one is right? For this moment is pure joy.
Which one is me? I ponder this and soon a picture is born.
Vibrant colors fill the once empty space. I step back to admire and fine just one mistake.
I can’t erase it. I can’t change it.
Can I over look it?
Can I move on knowing I’m not as perfect as some believe? Can I find the strength to admit it? Can I find the courage to just be me?
Or will the blackness over take me again?
No! I won’t let it happen. Not again. Never again.
I smile and admit my mistake. Proudly I move on and again I find the joy to keep going to keep painting, to keep making my life vibrant with the colors of the world before me.
