A frown furrowed her soft brow at his quiet murmurings, head tilting to the side to watch him. She could see now that he slept, but why did she bring him such sadness. Had her attempt to escape wounded him so deeply? Mirinel had certainly not wished him any harm, she had simply assumed that he was indifferent toward her - saw her as nothing more than an object.

Hesitating for but a moment, the elven female approached cautiously before lowering herself to sit on the edge of the couch beside him. Perhaps she had been too quick to make judgements, afterall Kane had done nothing to harm her. She placed a small hand upon his shoulder, wondering if that would wake him but if not she would lift her hand to gently wipe the tears from his face.

Mirinel shut the door securely behind her, holding it shut with her body as she leant against it, breathing heavily. It took her some time before she realised she had not been pursued this far and that she was safe, for now. Only once her breathing had slowed did she slowly ease herself away from the door and move toward the sounds of who, she could only assume, was Kane.

To find him crying was a surprise and the elven female stood in stunned silence, staring at him in confusion. "Why are you crying?" She asked simply, taking a step toward him, casting a brief glance over her shoulder to be certain the wolves did not lurke behind her.

Mirinel remained in the trees for some time, enjoying the strong breeze that whipped her hair from her face and the quiet sounds of nature which surrounded her. By the time she dropped down to the forest floor, light was beginning to touch the deep blackness of the sky. She had progressed not four steps when she came to a sudden stop, wide eyes fixed upon the wolf which had just emerged from the shadows.

Lip curled, the creature snarled as it bared its fangs, advancing upon her. As Mirinel backed away, a hand raised to ward off the creature's approach, she discovered that she was not facing a lone predator but a whole pack. Within a matter of seconds she was isolated, turning in circles as the wolves closed in upon her, their noses raised as the took in her scent.

These wolves were nothing like those she had faced before the Deep Slumber, these were cold and vicious - there was certainly no reasoning with them. With limited options and even less time, Mirinel had to act swiftly and upon instinct. "Kemen der" The words passed from her lips without a second thought, the earth beneath her feet seeming to groan before earth and roots shot up into the faces of several of the advancing wolves.

In the confusion, a gap within the ranks presented itself and Mirinal lunged toward it. Teeth snapped at her as she passed, snagging at her dress and tearing the hem as she took off at a run. "Achone daler" The trees surrounding her seemed to lean in on themselves, forming a make-shift wall of bark which would hopefully hold off the wolves long enough for her to escape.

But where was she running to? Her hurried footsteps brought her out of the tree line to stare at Kane's home once again. Exhausted from her use of magics, lack of rest and terror, Mirinel stumbled on toward the house as howls echoed in her ears. Inside was safety and for now she would take that safety even if it meant captivity. She would have to rethink before her next escape.

(Option A. Some how use trees to escape? B. Talk her way out and probably get raped.... C. Use magic?)

Mirinel had no intentions of returning. She was in her element in the great outdoors, the wind tugging at her hair and clothing as she moved soft-footed amongst the tall trees. Of course the howls of the wolves caused her steps to pause from time to time, her warm brown hues searching the shadows expectantly. She would feel far more comfortable with a bow in her hand and a quiver upon her back, but for now she would content herself with her freedom.

After some time, the young elven female found herself completely surrounded by the old, worn trees. Finally she came to a stop before a larger and wider spread tree. A grin spred across her lips as she lept upward, her slender fingers grasping the rough bark as she traversed up the ancient piece of nature with a surprising amount of elegance. Perching herself upon a high branch, Mirinel surveyed the world which lay before her and a gentle sigh escaped past her lips. This was where she belonged, now if she could only fine her people.

Mirinel had no intentions of leaving her room, at least not until she was certain that Kane slept soundly. She had come to the decision suddenly and with a certainty that surprised even her - she would escape. In the dark of the night she would flee and search for her own kind, and find her place amongst them. The elven female paced her room, tossing aside the torn and useless undergarment as she waited for time to pass.

When she was certain that enough time had crept by, Mirinel carefully opened her door and tiptoed down the corridor. Kane slept soundly upon the couch where she had left him and that gave her the perfect opportunity to take her leave. She returned to the backdoor and hurriedly opened it as quietly as she could manage. The cool air rushed in to meet her and she breathed in deeply, without a second thought she slipped outside and drew the door closed behind her.

Mirinel quickly composed herself, now that the underwear was no longer causing her discomfort. "The past couple of days have been quite a difficult." She attempted to offer him a smile, but it faltered half-way through it's forming and the elven female quickly slipped from Kane's arms and stood to her feet. Cheeks flushed a deeper crimson as her torn panties slid down her slim leg and she hurried scooped it into her hand before moving swiftly down the corridor and into the room she assumed to be her own - the one in which Kane had lain out her clothes.

Closing the door with a soft click, Mirinel tilted her head back to allow it to rest upon the wood, a deep sigh escaping her lips. Her Master seemed nice, perhaps it would not be so difficult to live as his slave and yet something within her remained outraged that she was in this position in the first place.
