Layla was not happy with the two boys at all. They had finally stopped chasing each other around like baboons, but she had to laugh anyway. Today was certainly eventful so far. Never had she had so much fun in all the year when Tim and Sam would fight as if they were a married couple, or would punch each other in the arm when they were hanging outside. Layla stretched out "you goons are gunna get in trouble one of these days"she joked already knowing they had many times before but same was the all star athlete of the group, he played basket ball, base ball, and skateboarded he could have been playing foot ball if it weren't for the jerk offs on the team. Layla didn't mind at all though she sighed and at her lunch accordingly.

Sam looked up just in time to see one of the jerk offs heading towards their table, promptly he looked back at his lunch ignoring the guy "you played really crappy today you know that! God what's with the name Ghouls Night Out? Dude I can think of a better way to spend my afternoon" he began. All three ignored him, Sam faced Layla and sighed "so Layla how's it going"he started. Layla shrugged "dunno, how bout you? Hey Tim when do we practice next?" The jock was not happy and shoved Sam in the shoulder causing Tim to suddenly stand up "are you fucking kidding?! You ass hole!" "temper" Layla warned grabbing Tim by the sleeve and yanking him down "he's not worth it" she gave a warning look towards Sam as well who looked ready to beat the jock to the ground. The jock sneered and turned away muttering something along the lines of "dweebs.." to which Layla promptly ignored.

Lunch finished the same way it always had and Layla made her way to her class getting there on time. She couldn't stand English due to the "Queen Bee" being in the same class, none of her friends had the same class as her so she had no choice but to push through it.

Gonna go on living like I never met you
And it'll feel wrong at first but I think I can forget you
Ignore the fact that we sleep no more than three feet apart
I feel you now, you're all around me, underneath me
You're all around me, underneath me

Once the music came to a steady stop, Josh easily exited out of the auditorium while pushing through the crowd. On the way out he met up with Aiden who had a curious look on his features. This dark haired boy was the more outspoken one of the band, and as well as its drummer. "Checking out the competition..." Aiden inquired, falling in step along side Josh. "Anyways I heard hayley's throat is a bit sore this week...which means we won't be playing tommorrow." The dark haired male said, frowning at the thought. Josh rubbed the back of his neck, "She's been working hard lately, those notes she hits are pretty high...." He gave a shrug, "We'll make it up next week. She recovers pretty quick." Josh assured following out into the school's parking lot. There they found both their vocalist and bassist.

Well how was I to know
That what we carved in stone
Would be so temporary
Well how was I to know
That my first crack at love
Would not be the last
Won't be the last

Hayley sat on the hood of the car, crossed legged as she held some music sheets in her lap. Within one hand she grasped a pen that often scribbled stuff out on the sheets. "I'm telling you I'm fine." She glanced up at Caleb who smiled and shook his head. His attention was drawn towards the two familiar faces that approached them. "Josh!" Hayley called out to her brother, a brilliant smile on her lips. "I guess I'm not as important." Aiden mused, shoving both hands within his pockets as he stood beside Caleb. Josh leaned against the side of the jeep. "Sounding a little hoarse there Hayles." He mentioned. Of course the red head gave a shake of her head in protest, lifting up her pen to hit him on the head. "I'm fine, I can still sing." She said, "Where were you two anyway. We've been out here for a while now." She had quickly switched the subject, only to have Aiden speak next. "He went to go sit through one of Ghoul's night out concert." He said. Josh gave a roll of his eyes, "I was bored. Besides wouldn't hurt to listen to them..." He began, but Calebe cut him off. "Don't even start man, I don't want you to start listening to their music." He shook his head while crossing his arms. Hayley pushed herself off the hood of the car, "I'm not going to lie, they aren't bad." She suddenly threw out while following with a shrug of her shoulders.

It's in the air now, bitter tears and broken hearts
We're teenagers, we count the years, we think we're smart
But we're not, we don't know anything

]
The fast paced sound was her thing, the instruments were playing a familiar tone that everyone knew, punk or metal head it didn't mater. The front man began to sing.

Buried beneath the statue the answer hides
Enduring throughout the ages
The transmitter lies
Once the chambers open the signal will be sent
To another world... Far beyond the stars

Layla sang in the background, the band had began her first year in high school now they were competing with another band to which she noticed one of the members were there but decided to ignore it. The Principal had allowed anyone playing in a band to practice and most of the students started to file in to check out this punk band who called themselves the 'Ghouls Night Out' after a Misfit's song. Layla O'Connor grinned as she watched the preps annoyed faces play out "Can't handle the heat, get outta the kitchen!"She shouted into the mic only to have her friend roll his eyes and smirk while he continued to sing.

Don't open till Doomsday
Destruction's not far away
Don't open till Doomsday
You may not like what you find inside

We were warned of this coming so long ago
Immortal secrets... man shouldn't know
Entering a realm where we just don't belong
We called them and they're coming

Don't open till Doomsday
Destruction's not far away
Don't open till Doomsday
You may not like what you find inside

Hoping to finish early she faked a yawn but it seemed they would not be finished until the crowed wished it. When they finally got their last note in Layla was off the stage and heading to get lunch, she was starved very much so since she hadn't had anything to eat since supper the following night "hey that was some sweet playing there" she eyed the guy who spoke then shrugged it was typical that it happened to be a jock but he wasn't just any jock he was her best friend since childhood "nah Sam it was terrible and I am starved.." "the parental unit not feeding you enough" he teased "you could say that" she grinned.

"Ghouls Night Out eh.. when's your next practice? And you still need a drummer?"Sam questioned "Friday, and yeah swing buy you know we're at Tim's place this time singing the classics" Layla winked and nudged him "oh of course Mr. I'm so full of myself" Sam teased. Layla stuck out her tongue before going to sit at a table.

Layla stretched lightly it was going to be an extremely long day, as she set her guitar securely next to her as Sam sat across. Tim crept up behind Sam and grabbed him roughly by the shoulders causing the poor boy to yelp in shock and nearly tumble over. Layla cracked up holding her sides as she watched Sam who easily towered over Tim run after the boy. Once she sobered up she called out "OY! This is a cafeteria not a race track!" Her light blue eyes lit up with excitement at her two friends. Tim being the front man of Ghouls Night Out and Sam being the athlete but she cared for her two friends more than anyone cared to pay attention to. Layla was one of the two girls in their little group aside from Natasha who was so busy right now that the three hardly ever saw her.

((No, yours wasn't crappy, mine on the other hand.. could use a bit of work.. *sigh*))

If I'm a bad person,
You don't like me.
Well I guess I'll make my own way,
It's the circle,
A mean cycle.
I can't excite you anymore.

Straddling the guitar over his lap, his fingers grazed over its neck until they stopped along a certain pair for frets. Placing his fingers along the strings, he held down the chord while his other hand strummed gracefully at the strings. The male's eyes were lowered to the guitar, never leaving it. The sound of his sister's voice echoed within the garage they played in. The two had begun their band about a year ago, along with two of their friends. Both Josh and Hayley had been playing instruments since they were ten. He had stuck to playing the guitar, and of course Hayley played both piano and guitar but was more towards vocals in the band. RIOT! was your typical alternative band, and had become pretty popular amongst some of the kids at school. Others despised them, and it all came down to what music they played. Everyday high school cliques, either you were judged on your appearance or the music you played.

Where's your gavel, your jury?
What's my offense this time?
You're not a judge but if you're gonna judge me,
Well sentence me to another life.

"We've got to work on finishing the song" The red headed girl said, sinking back into the old couch. Josh placed aside the guitar, glancing over at the clock. Ten minutes. Jumping up from his seat, he slipped on his backpack over his shoulders. "Come on, we're going to be late." He said making his way out of the garage. Hayley followed behind him, pulling a black hoodie over her head to protect her from the cold weather outside. Trying her best to keep up with the male, she shoved both hands into the pocket of her sweater. "Slow down, because you swear your in any fucking hurry to get to class." She mused, finally falling in step with him. Lowering his gaze towards her, he gave a shrug.

Don't wanna hear your sad songs.
I don't wanna feel your pain,

When you swear it's all my fault.
Cause you know we're not the same.
Yeah!
We're not the same
Yeah!
No we're not the same,

Yeah, The friends who stuck together.
We wrote our names in blood,

But I guess you can't accept that the change is good,
It's good
It's good

Tick.Tock. The clock's hands seemed almost to freeze in place, but of course that thought was clearly crazy. Boredom was the only thing that was expressed on his face, his eyes were half way closed when the bell to his final class rung. He swore he had probably been the first one out of there. Sliding past the crowd in the hallway, Josh Farro found himself opening his locker only to have it slammed shut by some jerk. Narrowing his eyes, the boy lifted up a hand to flick him off. "Douchebag.." Josh grumbled, opening the locker once again. Once he had stuffed several things inside, he went off to try and find Hayley along with the guys. That proved to be quite difficult, considering this high school was pretty big. Letting out a long sigh, he crossed yet another hallway. The sound of loud music caught his attention towards the auditorium. Curiousity had gotten the best of him, and Josh slipped inside noticing a band play up on the stage. Sliding into one of the seats there, he listened and watched hopefully he wouldn't get noticed in there since that area wasn't exactly lit up all the way.

Ooc: Bleh >.> horrible start, only because I'm no good at starting rps. XD anyways here ya go. Could be mature for whatever I guess.
