She sat there in the hall way like she always did, iPod on full blast as she listened to some rather deaf toning music. She hid herself under a green hooded sweater, hiding her features from the world as it passed by. But no matter if she hid herself, the world seemed to notice her and they would retaliate with the word '
freak, unwanted, scum' and various other words teens these days could come up with to insult or hurt someone like her.
She kept her gaze low, her face hidden under the hoody as kids began to pass by. She ignored them, listening to her music and being unable to hear or see their hurtful looks and comments. She didn't need that.
Suddenly a pair of black biker boots appeared in her range of sight in starring at the floor and she didn't even have to look up to see who it was. Her best friend, Heather, although she hated that name with a passion and told everyone just to call her Heat. Since she was goth, she thought it sounded better. She was wearing a black shirt that showed her stomach and belly button ring with a zip up sweater over top and a long black skirt with various buckles and chains hanging from it. Her hair was pure black compared to the blonde hair she used to have. She hated blondes. Something about them pissed her off.
One of the little ear buds was pulled from her ear as Heat began to talk to her. "What are you listening to?", she asked. "Saosin", the girl replied simply. "Oh ya? Class starts in a couple minutes...", Heat groaned with obvious annoyance. She hated their next class. Literacy. Mainly because the class was full of stupid people that hated them plus the teacher was a, as Heat puts it, '
douchebag'. "You gunna get up?", the goth girl questioned down to her friend now. "Maybe...", the girl murmured. "Come on, up Kat!", Heat reached down, grabbing ahold of one of her hands and pulling her from the floor.
Now because Kat wanted to savor the friends she did have, she didn't want to weird them out by telling them about seeing peoples aura's or her visions through touch, or even reading minds, so they didn't know about any of this. She had learned things, dark things about her friends lives that brought a downer on her. In fact, she had learned lots of things about many people. It was all because they touched her. So she avoided contact with people at all costs but on occasion it does happen and something slips up to make her touch another person. But most of the time she avoided it.
As the vision of her friends life faded as quickly as it had come, Katharine snapped out of her dream like faze and picked up her bag, now beginning to walk down the hall with Heat. Kat avoided looking at people. She didn't want to see all those mixtures of colors around her. She saw it every day, she could do without looking for once in her life.
The two girls entered the class room and took their seats in the very back. Heat sat in the desk closest to the window while Kat sat in the desk next to her. The two were silent as the class chatted away, Kat continuing on with listening to her iPod and Heat rummaging through her bag for her own. But as the teacher, Mr. Harasin, entered the room, the girls turned the music off and Kat pulled out the book they were reading for this class.
"Class, we have a new student", the teacher called to the class. Kat didn't want to look up. In fact, she didn't have to look up as she heard a few kids compliment on how the new kid was a '
total hotty'. Like she cared. She continued looking down until Heat nudged her, pressuring her into looking. Kat waited a moment before reluctantly looking up and she froze as she saw the new student. She saw an array of colors through out the class room, but around this new boy, there was nothing. No aura. No color.
{So ya...that's all I could come up with...Sorry it sucks x_x}
