(Love it xD Nice crossover) Entering her home was as lonely as ever for Toree. Typically, her parents weren't home, as they were almost always busy with work at the family business. Tonight wasn't any different. Releasing a small sigh, she lumbered upstairs to her room and opened up her closet. Her eyes scanned the asorted clothing inside, her mind whirling around in circles. Would the dance be her chance to possibly speak to Mr Opus without being so nervous? The little voice in her head kept telling her that it was, but only if she had a nice enough dress. Something beautiful...extremely so. It...needed to make her look beautiful too. After all, she wouldn't even have a chance if she didn't look beautiful, right? That's what boys liked...men, according to her mother. But her mother was always beautiful. People said that both Toree and her mother looked alike. Toree never saw it. Her eyes rested on a dress and she gave a small smile. It was perfect. For the first time she was glad that her mother forced her to go dress shopping every once in awhile for occasions such as this. After all, she always said that Toree wouldn't be able to get a boyfriend unless she looked absolutely stunning. The timid girl thought this dress would work perfectly. Maybe this was her chance to actually manage to talk to Mr Opus without blushing.

Mr. Opus was still a little disappointed that his saturday night would go to waste, but he knew it couldn't be all that bad. Toree would be there, he would have someone to talk to and admire, and surely the pounding music and dark or low lights would block everyone's vision...which would make a perfect time to flirt with Toree more. Oh, how Mr. Opus felt sick, he found himself disgusting because he liked a sixteen year old girl. They were years apart and surely if her parents knew that he liked her, they would sue or get him out of his job...or worst, her father could murder him. Mr. Opus shivered at the thought of being killed. He started to pack up his things from his desk that he would take home to grade and started out of his classroom. He supposed buying a new dress shirt and some slacks wouldn't hurt...besides he hasn't bought anything with his paycheck yet and this would do him some good. He pulled out his cell phone from his pocket and slid the top open; he pressed a button for speed dial and placed the phone against his ear. He listened to the ring and after three rings, his good friend picked. "Yeah?" "How polite," Mr. Opus muttered. "Elijah! What's up?" "I'm getting off work now, and you?" "Just painting the new baby's room. So, are you doing anything this weekend? Kara and I are probably going out to eat with some friends, would you like to tag along?" "Sorry Jack, I got some things I need to do...but I was going to ask you something. I need your good fashion advice; I have this school dance I have to attend to and I need some new clothes." "You're sound like a woman, Elijah...it's creepy." "Oh shut up, just head over to my house and I'll meet you there." Elijah hung up on his friend and stuck the cell phone back into his pocket. Elijah didn't have a great sense of fashion, always choosing outfits that don't seem to match at all. All his life there was one person to help him with his clothes and this time it was his good friend, Jack. [OOC: LOL! A mixture of roleplays XD]

Toree took a short inhalation of breath and quickly nodded as she was told to get home. "Y- yes, Sir..." And she hurried on her way, pausing in the doorway briefly and smiling over her shoulder. "Good night." Then, she was hurrying down the hall towards her locker. Her heart pounded hard as she tried to conceal the obvious nervous joy inside of her. He would be there, so she would be there! Maybe she shouldn't get all of her hopes up on the off chance he didn't feel anything back, but that didn't stop the girl. She just couldn't help it. The little voice in her head kept giving her the hope. The hope that something more would blossom from the next night. That it wasn't all the childish to have feelings for your teacher. (I liked it ^-^ Mine's a little short too. Oh, and I found the picture ^-^)

Mr. Opus shrugged his shoulders sluggishly, unsure of how to respond. It was hard to tell if she was excited about it or not...her voice seemed hopefully, but her eyes said another thing. Though, it didn't really matter, his liking to her was something that was banned from everywhere...just as bad as Oedipus sleeping with his mother--well, not that bad, but near that. He motioned his head towards the door of his classroom, "Now scat, you better get home. I'll see you tomorrow at the dance, right?" [OOC: Sorry it's so short DX]

When the principle mentioned the Winter Dance, Toree's heart stopped and she glanced to Mr Opus curiously. She honestly hadn't been planning to go...it would be so difficult for the shy girl to show up and stay anywhere other than a dark corner. However, at the mention of Mr Opus being the dance's chaperone... "Y- yes, Sir." She replied softly, bashfully as she shuffled her feet nervously. "I- I'll be going." Although, that meant she'd have to get a dress last minute, it would be worth it. Even if he didn't feel the same way, she could still try and show off on the off chance he did, couldn't she? "It...might be fun." Even if she didn't actually dance, at least she could maybe talk to Mr Opus and keep him company. He didn't seem enthused about going himself.

Mr. Opus was tempted to sweep the innocent girl off her feet and on to his desk, but even if he could, the principle came waltzing into his class room to cut the student teacher meeting short. Mr. Opus stood up straight, switching his attention to the principle, "Hello, sir, what brings you here?" The principle didn't seem to mind about what he just saw, or didn't really notice it at all--which was good, either way. He cleared his throat, scratched his white beard, and smiled warmly. "Mr. Opus, you have been assigned to watch over this weekends Winter Dance!" The principle made it seem like it was a good thing be to doing...Mr. Opus didn't think that at all. "But sir, I thought Mrs. Swindly would be watching the--" "Have you forgotten, its her birthday saturday! I didn't want to make a teacher go to a childish dance on her birthday." The principle chuckled, "Your teacher's pretty silly, isn't he?" he said to Toree before exiting the class room. Mr. Opus leaned against his desk, sighing heavily in dismay. "I can't believe my saturday is going to be wasted on school." He looked up to Toree, wondering if she would be going...if so, this might be his only chance to see her in a dress and might be able to dance with her...maybe. He stood up straight, pushing off of his desk, "Toree, are you going to the dance, tomorrow?" He sounded like a teenager asking her out on a date--which he didn'tmind at all.

Being called up to Mr Opus' desk caused the poor girl's heart to pound, almost to the point she thought it would rip out of her chest. W- was he mad at her?! What did she do wrong?! She hoped she'd done nothing to upset him, or else it would ruin whatever slim chances she'd had! She was scared and surely a desperate shade of crimson. How embarrassing... As if she didn't look nervous enough already... As he spoke to her, she swallowed nervously before speaking in her typical, quiet, soft tone. "A- am I in trouble, M- Mr Opus, Sir?" The small stutter in her soft voice was hardly noticeable, but it was there all the same. As Mr Opus touched her skin, she inhaled sharply. Her voice was lost to her and her little heart pounded that much harder. It took her several long minutes to regain her voice, but once she did, the sixteen year old girl forced herself to speak. "I- I'm fine, Sir." She whispered. He was so close to her! Almost as if...almost as if he was going to kiss her. No! She couldn't get her hopes up. But...what if?

Mr. Opus waited for the five minutes assigned to the class and stood up, ordering the students to stop writing. His eyes shifted around the class, watching the hands of the students drop their pencils, and as his eyes made their way to Toree's, they had stopped upon her. He watched her delicate hand place her pencil on the journal and look up to him. Their eyes met and suddenly, she had blushed, looking away. Mr. Opus grinned, imagining her lying upon his bed, dressed in his boxers and white dress shirt. Mr. Opus cut his daydream short to keep himself under control. "Good, now everyone get a book from under your desks and open it to page 1123; we'll be reading the Prolouge of Oedipus today." He paused, waiting for all the students to get their books out from under the table. "In ancient Greece, everyone knew of the legend of Oedipus, thus when the audience came to see the play, they already knew of the story. They knew that Oedipus committed a incest--" the class sneered and made disgusted sounds. "I know right," he mused. "Not only that, but it was with his mother!" Another array of disgusted sounds pulled up. "Tim, would you like to sleep with your mother?" The boy shook his head quickly while the class laughed. "He also murdered his father too...and he did all this without even knowing they were your parents." "How could you not know?" A student asked. Mr. Opus shrugged his shoulders, "Read and find out. - - - The bell rang to end the school day and the students rushed out of their classrooms to go home. Before Toree could even get up and leave, Mr. Opus called her to his desk; she came up sheepishly, blushing and surely pondering if she was in trouble. Mr. Opus had stood up from his seat in his chair and crossed to his way to her; he lifted his hand and gently placed it upon her forehead, then to both of her cheeks. "You're looking quite red today, are you sick dear?" he asked as he leaned in a bit closer.

English was Toree's favorite class. Not because she was terribly good at it, but because she enjoyed listening to the voice of her most favorite teacher. Mr Opus. A light blush crept across her cheeks as she thought about him, her feet scuttling down the hallway quickly so that she could be the first one there to get the seat closet to his desk. Her heart fluttered in her chest, making her nervous. Not that being nervous was anything different. Toree was a shy girl. Always had been, but a little part of her more outgoing side was always shown when she entered that classroom. Perhaps it was a childish, stupid crush she had on her most favorite teacher, but she didn't care. She really liked him. More than she'd liked any other boy her own age. Entering the classroom and quickly sliding into the seat, it wasn't long before she had her head bowed and focused on her notebook, casually stealing glances up. Her blush deepened and she swallowed nervously. Maybe it was wrong to have a crush on your teacher, but she could never get rid of the small voice in the back of her head, whispering that he just might like her too. In the way she liked him. However doubtful she was, there was always that shred of hope whenever that small voice spoke. Maybe...maybe he liked her too. (I really liked it xD. I hope mine is good enough)

During the five minute passing period between fifth and sixth, Mr. Opus had time to relax his body and ease his mind. After every fifth period Mr. Opus would think of the upcoming class--sixth, the last and final class of the day--and one particular student. She wasn't the best student in her class, but she averaged to a B...which was good, thus he didn't admire her hard work or big brain. He admired her face, her beautiful face, and that young, slender body. Just thinking about her made him tingle--then, he remembered how many more minutes there was before sixth--four. He sat up straight, adverting his mind from the gutter and to the lesson he would present today in class.
Mr. Opus stood up from his chair and erased the white board that was stationed on the wall behind him. He wrote down a little quick write to start the day of the class and pulled out sixth period’s journals from his desk drawer; he placed the stack of journals on the corner of the desk.
Three minutes into the passing period and half of the class had taken their journals from his desk and took their assigned seats. And soon as the bell rang, the rest of the class came rushing into the room to make it on time. Mr. Opus pointed to the quick write on the white board with a soft smile, “Copy down the quick write and answer it—in full sentences, Johnny.” The class giggled at their teacher’s remark on the student who usually wrote his papers in texting form. “You have five minutes.” Mr. Opus sat down in his desk, opening up the English book, swiftly passing through the pages to find the story they would be reading for the day.
[OOC: Sorry its so short DX XD Funny picture huh? Mr. Opus is a funny guy, but has a dark side >D Private for Virgo] |
