"Never mind. I'll figure it out," Vincent replied nonchalantly, as if talking about a homework problem. After a few more minutes of debating exactly who was gonna kick who's asses (Vincent declaring himself the winner of the argument even though Ben and Corinne strongly disagreed), the bell rang signaling the end of the lunch period. Vince sighed; two more fucking periods. And nothing to look forward to afterwards. Summer's mom was picking her up to go shopping. Apparently Hot Topic was having some major clearance on girl's tees and makeup. Whatever.

They headed their separate ways for the remainder of the day, and eventually the end did come, with a sweet resounding ring. He never thought he'd be so happy to hear the bell in his entire life. He met up with Summer, Dominic, and Corinne for a few minutes in the front of the school after he'd dropped everything he didn't need in his locker. But soon after arriving, his cell vibrated in his pocket, a call from his father to let him know he was across the street and waiting. "Sorry guys. Dad's here already. We've at least got the weekend to hang out. My parents want me to do better than Bs and Cs this year. God, parents." He rolled his eyes and gave Summer a quick kiss. "Talk to you late, babe. See you two tomorrow!" he waved over his shoulder to the three as he walked away.

And that was when it all went to hell.

After school, streets were hectic by the front. Kids were driving home, parents were picking up those who couldn't drive. Cars honking, slow moving. But as slow as everyone was moving, merely three steps into the street a car swerved out of their place in an attempt to move around the others....and into Vincent. He felt nothing, saw nothing. Everything was black. Black and the cries of Summer, and whoever else was asking if he was okay. Was he? Vincent didn't feel any pain. Just darkness. And then...nothing.

"VINCENT!!! Oh, god no, Vincent....please! Can you hear me? No, no, nooo....." Summer had run forward the second he was hit, and crouched beside him as another student called 911. Maybe it had been Dominic or Corinne. She wasn't paying attention as she held Vincent's hand. It was warm in her own, and she was deathly afraid that it wouldn't be anymore. She held his hand to her face as she cried. "Don't die, Vincent, don't die...please..." Summer had never been so afraid in her life. Mostly because such a thing had never happened in front of her, and certainly not to her boyfriend. "Vincent..."

[Hope that was dramatic enough xD Channelled a little Twilight into that. Except Bella didn't get hit, lol. Actually, I'm pro-edward xD I just don't like who plays him. Jacob's much cuter in the movie than the book, haha. He sounds too buff and scary, lol.]

When Vincent spoke, Corrine tilt her head towards him at the same moment Dominic had. His words hadn't much made sense for Corrine, but seeing the look on Dom's face it was clear it was code talk for some other matter. That idiot better not have bet anything.... she thought suddenly squeezing his hand. Dom lowered his gaze to her, almost having the smile on his face fade but he managed to keep it. "Next period....I've got spanish. As for Biology, what is there to ask?" the boy's lips held that genuine grin, but it faded into a gentle smile as he gently brought and arm to snake around Corrine's waist. The security and saftey she felt with the boy made her feel so much better that day. Perhaps this wasn't the worst day of school.

"Don't even start with the jokes, I know exactly what your thinking." The girl said, before having Ben being the one to start. "And here I thought you were a lesbian.." He joked, and shook his head. "I'm kidding Cor, I'm actually surprised." He gave a shrug. Corrine smirked sticking her tongue out at him only to allow herself to lean against Dom.

Vincent eyed the two of them; Corinne and Dominic. Damn. Maybe she would say yes. They did look like a good couple. "Hey, Dom? We've got our next period together right? I've got a question about.....biology." He stifled a laugh, knowing Dom would know what he meant. Hey, at least they were even now. The bet just paid off the money Dom owed him. But Vince wished she'd said no just so that he could use the money on cds later. Vincent bet Corinne about something before summer started, but he couldn't remember what. Either way, he owed buying her the new Paramore cd. And now he didn't have the money. Fuck. And with his luck, Dominic would probably buy it for her first since they were together. Or if they weren't at that particular moment, they would probably by the end of the day.

Summer smiled. So it seemed Cor got herself a boyfriend. Maybe she wouldn't have to hold the grudge over her anymore. I mean, she didn't seem the type to go after someone else while having a boyfriend. So Vincent was safe. Vincent was Summer's. Just the way she liked it. The way she liked him. All was working out. But not for long. (-DUN DUN DUNNNN- *foreboding music*)

Time drifted as slowly as possible, or so it appeared. When it came to school, time always dragged on. The following two classes after Bio were just as dull as the first ones. Fortunately Dominic had Corrine for his last class before lunch. Spending some more time with her surely put him at an advantage of getting her to say yes. She always did make class more interesting. Finally the bell had rung to dismiss them all and of course the two were one of the few first to exit the classroom. Corrine had jumped onto Dominic's back, wrapping her arms around his neck to hold herself up. "Off to the cafeteria!" She said with a vibrant grin, pointing an arm out in the direction they were to head. The boy laughed, "Alright your highness." Dominic merely joked begining to walk as he held onto Corrine.

Her mind seemed to drift on and off of the idea of Vincent and Summer being together, perhaps because she had to admit maybe she had been just a tad bit jealous. Typical feeling for any girl really. I lost my chance.... she thought resting against Dominic as the sound of the chattering in the cafeteria finally filled her ears. Her eyes strayed over the many tables until she finally spotted her friends. "There." Corrine said, allowing Dominic to place her down now. The boy wondered if it was the moment to ask her. He didn't necessarily want to ask her in front of everyone, because he could only imagine the looks he'd recieve. They had all once made the promise of keeping things as they were, but here he was breaking it. Stopping in his tracks before moving any further, Dominic reached out and pulled Corrine's arm to keep her from going. Curiousity sparked upon her face and she questioned his sudden action. "Lunch is over there..." She said sarcastically, but had a light grin coat her lips. Dominic smiled, "Yeah I just.....need to ask you something?" He said in response, stepping up to have nothing but a few inches between them. At first Corrine was hit with sudden uneasyiness but she allowed herself to relax. "I know its random, but....I was wondering if...." Dominic was finding it hard to place the right words together. "Come on Dom spit it out." Corrine placed both hands on her hips. With one motion the boy had leaned down to her height and brushed his lips over her own. A strange feeling swept through her stomach at that very instant, but Corrine had just as easily leaned in to kiss the male back. Pulling back, she ran her fingers through her dark locks. "Dom...I..." Corrine wasn't sure what to say, but what could she possibly lose. He was nice, and her friend.

Meeting up with the rest of the group, Corrine had decided she would date Dominic atleast she'd have someone of her own. None of the others knew yet, and she wasn't going to toss it out there now either. Sitting amongst her friends, she cast her gaze towards each of them while occasionally tuning into the conversation between Ben and Jack on Guitar hero five. Beneath the table though, she felt dominic's fingers entwine with her own. A small smile coated her lips. Finally breaking the silence that arose over her, she spoke. "I heard the songs are going to be pretty good, either way I'm going to own your asses at guitar hero five." She smirked lightly towards Ben and Jack. "You wish." Ben said, "I bet you twenty dollars when it comes out, I can beat you at any song." He said. "Deal!" Corrine said. Already the betting was begining, it was how they worked though. She was constantly losing money, only to have it doubled later. Dominic suddenly remember and grinnned lighty, Ha who owes who twenty dollars now Vince... he thought but kept it to himself.

Two more periods passed, Corinne-less and Summer-less. Vincent had a few friends in those classes, but none of them were close. When the bell to lunch rang, Vince didn't even bother stopping by his locker, even though he was carrying a shitload of books. He couldn't wait to just chill out for once today. He walked to the cafeteria area and leaned against the school mascot statue to wait for everyone. It's not like he'd be hard to find. Vincent stuck out pretty easily. He closed his eyes, listening to his ipod which he had promptly taken out the minute the bell rang for lunch. When he opened his eyes, the first person he saw walking towards him was Summer. He smiled and waved at her. God, did she look gorgeous.

After art class, Summer waved goodbye to Corinne. They still didn't quite meet eye-to-eye, but at least they weren't pulling each other's hair out. She sat through two more boring periods, and the second fourth period ended, she ran out to meet Vincent. She grinned as she hugged him, softly kissing him on the lips. "Miss me?" Summer asked coyly as she pulled away, sliding her hand into his. "Of course. We have 6th together at least, right?" "Yup. English with Ms. Ware." "Good."

After all of the gang was together, meaning a total of maybe 6 people - all guys with the exception of Corinne and Summer, they decided on a table in the far corner from the other students to hang out and talk about their summers. Vincent between Summer and Ben (another friend of theirs), his arm loosely wrapped around Summer's shoulders. Across the table was Corinne and Dominic, and their other friend, Jack. Ben and Jack were in the middle of a serious talk about the new Guitar Hero 5, and how it better have good music or they're gonna have to sue the company. Vince rolled his eyes. Like they'd win that.

[Sorry it's kind of short >> I don't think we'll need pictures for the other two, but if Dominic becomes a main charrie, we should get him a picture :3 just cuz.]

Truthfully Dominic wasn't sure what reaction he would get from Vince. Yet of course another bet had risen, and Dominic was willing to put down those twenty extra dollars, but then again he was sure Corrine would be pretty angry to find out about it. "I said I'd pay you those twenty when you got back." Dominic said, a light grin playing across his lips. "And besides I won't have to pay you if I do manage to get corrine to say yes." He said, looking over at his friend. Some unknown expression seemed to be plastered on his face, and Dominic had a rough time trying to read him. Corrine is way better at trying ot figure out vince... he thought. Surprised at his next words, Dom gave a shrug. "I think thats a bunch of bullshit dude, you have no idea how much she was constantly bringing you up over the summer. Everytime we had hung out, she'd start on how much she missed having you not around...." Dominic said turning in his seat as the teacher was starting to lecture, but of course he knew neither him or Vincent were going to listen. "I'll ask her at lunch, and see what she says." The boy left the conversation at that. Only two more periods until lunch. His mind could only wonder what his young female friend would say.

Walking in step with Summer, the dark haired girl raised an eyebrow at her sudden comment. Really Corrine was expecting something more, rude. Flashing somewhat of a smile she spoke, "Thanks, I came across the organization after my mother went through depression...." Corrine explained, "And that sounds like a good idea. I myself have never done community service.....I'd have to have alot of motivation." She joked, knowing she'd probably have to have both Vincent and Dominic drag her off before she did anything. "If it is a requirement....I might not be making it into college." She mused finally reaching the classroom.

"I'm not asleep and you know it, Dom." Vincent sat up and pulled an earbud out. He wasn't sure how to feel about Dominic's next words. He was, in all honesty, a little...angry. He'd always been closer to Corinne than anyone else, and they all knew it. Just before he'd left over vacation they were joking about how Vincent would be the one hooking up with Corinne, Dominic included. Vince pushed the anger away from his mind and decided to just stop thinking about it too seriously, the thought of Cor dating Dom made him jealous enough. He didn't quite know why though. They promised to just be friends and not to listen to the others. And he had Summer now, so why was he still thinking so much about Cor? "Dude, you still owe me $20 from our last bet playing Halo. You wanna owe me $40? Then you're on, man. I mean, she probably wouldn't give anyone she's friends with a chance. Not even me," Vincent responded, his tongue stuck on 'me'. Would she have really turned him down if he had asked her out instead of Summer? Too late now. "...I think you should go for it,' he added a few moments of silence later. "If you really like her, you should go for it. Before it's too late."

Great. Another class with her? Another class to get evil looks from the possibly ex of her boyfriend? Beautiful. Just beautiful. And the sad thing was that if Summer wasn't dating Vincent, they probably would've gotten along. Because if Summer had a lot in common with Vincent and Corinne had a lot in common with Vincent, then they had a lot in common with each other, right? A small part of Summer wished that Corinne didn't like, or still like, Vincent. Because maybe it'd be different. But the rest of her was saying "That bitch better watch herself around my Vincent."

Summer followed alongside Corinne, deciding she'd probably be better off being nice. Sure, Summer had never been in the same situation. I mean, she always got who she wanted. There never was any competition, and there certainly wasn't any now that she was already with Vince. "I like your shirt, by the way. I have the 'TWLOHA' shirt with a heart instead of an O. I think it's cool what they're doing. I'm considering helping them for my community service during high school. I think there's some kind of requirement for college."

Her pure jealousy was clouding her judgment, and Corrine knew it wasn't a good thing. The only reason she was so envious towards Summer was because of Vincent, or maybe she felt she'd hurt him. She had to overcome these thoughts and allow herself to simply accept it. She had lost, and Summer had beat her. Yet Corrine had to figure out just when she had wanted Vincent. Hadn't she promised to remain nothing more than friends? The sound of the bell was like music to her ears, and managed to stray her away from her thoughts. Rising to her feet, she slipped on her backpack only to trail out of the classroom behind Dominic and Summer. Pulling the folded paper from her back pocket, she took a glance over it and raised an eyebrow. "I've got art, I heard its pretty easy." She commented, a smile grazing her lips. "And seeing as its pretty fucking far from here, better start walking." She said laughing lightly as she looked from Summer to Dominic. "I'll catch you two later, I've got bio." the boy said, turning on his feet to walk in the opposite direction. Corrine brushed past Summer and shoved her hands within the pockets of her jeans. "Come on this way." She said, "Atleast I think it is." She shrugged. Taking her last look at Dominic who had disappeared into the crowd.

Entering the biology room, Dominic was easily able to spot Vincent who was slouched over onto the lab table. Stepping over to the table, he plopped down in the seat next to him. "Already sleeping in class dude, I mean it hasnt even started." He joked patting him on the back rather roughly. "Hey what you said this morning, I bet you anything I can get with Corrine..." The boy began, "I mean..." Rubbing the back of his neck, he was unsure of what he was saying. Indeed he had some affection for the girl but maybe Vincent had been right. "I mean she's insane, in an awesome way..." Dominic said, "I'm not sure if she'll give me a chance though." He said.

Vincent tapped his right foot in anticipation, his backpack in hand, ready to run when the bell rang. His eyes watched each tick of the second hand closely as it neared the twelve. Tick...tick...tick...he wanted to scream. One hour of history was simply too much in one day. At least he had biology next period. Unfortunately the classroom was across campus in a different building. Why couldn't their high school be like the ones in the movies where everything was one singular building instead of one for every major subject? Finally the bell went off, and Vincent was out of there before everyone else, excluding the lucky bastards who sat next to the doors. He stuck his earbuds in as he walked slowly to his next class. There wasn't much of a hurry since they had ten minutes between classes. He just really wanted out of that last classroom and his manly teacher.

Upon entering the second period classroom, the teacher let everyone sit wherever they pleased, saying that if there were any disturbances, she'd move them. Awesome. Vincent sat in the very back, not turning his ipod off until the final bell rang. He dropped his backpack onto the tiled floor besides his stool and slouched forward on the lab table. He had three more minutes until another hour of pretending to pay attention in a class that he didn't care about because it had nothing to do with his future career. Vincent didn't know exactly what he wanted to be, but it'd be something more fun than anything he was learning in high school. He wondered if he'd have any classes with Corinne this year. He really hoped so, because if he didn't he'd be pissed. Last year in middle school they had almost every class together. Somehow, he did well in all of them because of that. Maybe because it was more fun to learn with her. Damn. He'd be failing history for sure this year if that was true.

When the bell rang, Summer slung her backpack back over her head and checked her schedule. "Let's see...art 1 with Ms. Smith. Anyone have her next?" she smiled coyly, resisting the urge to cross her fingers behind her back. It wouldn't be as bad if it was Dominic, but she got some seriously vicsious vibes coming from Corinne. Maybe she'd been more than friends with Vincent before Summer came along. Maybe she had hoped that Vincent would've asked her out when school began. Summer could sympathize with that. There was no bigger disappointment then being stood up. Not that this situation was technically "being stood up" because there was no promise. But, the feeling was pretty similar.

Summer pulled a map out of her backpack while they were checking their schedules for their next classes as well. "Hmm...I guess art is in the next building over. Man, the layout of this campus is ridiculous. It's huge."

Pulling off a facade like the one she currently put up towards Summer was definately difficult. Corrine's efforts were all for Vincent. If he liked summer and was happy with her, then Corrine was forced to deal with it. Something told her though that her and Summer weren't going to get along. Heck it was the reason all her friends were guys, girls were way too bitchy at times. Corrine couldn't help but wonder why Dominic seemed to be so close to her now. The boy had been the one she had gone to after Vincent left this summer, and she had to admit they had grown closer. Pushing the thoughts aside, she sank even lower in her seat. "This is going to be a long year..." she sighed already growing tired of the classroom she was in. Allowing her head to collapse on the desk, she groaned lowly.

Dominic watched her curiously, reading just what was wrong with her. Her sudden change in mood had begun when Vincent and Summer shown up. So what was the problem? Corrine was trying to take in the fact there was now another girl. Is she afraid she'll be replaced... the boy thought leaning forward, "Corrine....you know your our best friend....don't worry." He said. Immediately the girl sat up and smacked him on the forehead. "Enough dom.." She said, "I'm fine." her eyes strayed towards the clock seeing the minutes tick away.

Vincent sat, leaning forward, chin in palm, against his desk. He hated history. With a passion. But it was only second next to math. His friends were either math geniuses, or like him, totally inept. He stared blankly at the board, an apparent expression of utter boredom already settled on his face. At least the teacher wasn't making them learn until next week. But unfortunately the teacher, Mrs. Overton, had an extremely monotonous voice. A very masculine monotonous voice. And since Vincent was in the second row from the front, he was pretty sure he could see a faint mustache on her upper lip. Was she really a man? Had a sex change? Who knew.

He tried to keep thoughts of his new teacher as a man out of his mind, but his mind only strayed to Corinne. Why did he think about her so often? It's not like he liked her or something. Thinking about her so much made Vincent feel like a pervert. He shook his head a tiny bit and changed the subject of his thoughts to Summer. Gorgeous Summer. Damn, did he get lucky. Corinne had been joking for as long as he knew her about never getting a girlfriend. He should've made a monetary bet on that. Vincent would've been $20 richer if he had. But, he kind of figured that Cor would get a boyfriend first. She was beautiful. And really fun to hang out with. Just like one of the guys, except obviously, a girl. Wasn't that what every guy wanted? Nah. He supposed not. At least none of the stuck-up jocks that ran high school. High school was all about your rep, and kids like Vincent and Corinne would never be high enough on the ladder for the rest of the population. None of their friends either. But Summer? Probably could get somewhere better. She had a magnetic personality.

"Thanks, Corinne. Glad to know there's another girl in the group to talk to," she smiled in a way that could win prizes, it was that dazzling. But as soon as Corinne turned her back to Summer, the smile dropped quickly. She followed her inside and took a seat behind Dominic. It's not like they'd be stuck in those seats for long, since teachers tended to love torturing students with pre-planned seating charts.

"Hello class, my name is Mr. Prinkey," he stated with a nerdy expression, his comb-over hair completely obvious that it was a comb-over. His voice had the same tone as Barney, but instead of overly cheerful, a bit bored. "This year I decided to let you students choose your seat the first day and I'll pencil you into a seating chart accordingly." Summer's eyes widened. Stuck by these two all year? Great. Better play nice; they were her boyfriend's best friends. And if she wanted him to stay hers, she'd have to suck it up. "Fun year..." Summer mumbled, nearly inaudible.

Sinking back into Dominic, she found herself wanting to turn away really or rather take her lunge at the blonde haired girl. Being around the boys long enough, Corryn knew just how well she managed to put up a fight. Scratches and bruises were never a problem for her, she wasn't worried how messed up she got herself as long as she landed more hits on the other person. Within seconds her thoughts faded of any violent acts, knowing it wasn't the best way to go about things. Her lips held a brilliant grin, "Idiot never knows what classes he has, explains why he was ALWAYS tardy the first day of school." She commented, her eyes often drifting towards Summer.

When the comment of Dominic and herself came up, Corryn couldn't help but break out into laughter. "Nah lesbians scare me, especially the butch ones...." She mused wrapping her arms around Dominic to clearly pull him into hug. "You know I love ya dom." Corryn said towards the boy. Dominic frowned at Vincent's words, "Hey I've got as much chance as any other guy." She said, rubbing the back of his head with one hand. The other arm still pulling Corryn into a hug. "Atleast she's nice." He joked, releasing corryn moments later. The girl raised an eyebrow, pulling her own schedule out. Scanning over it several times, she had yet to get past the fact that she was going to be having this new girl in her first period. EVERY morning having to come face to face with that....wasn't going to last long. Fuck.....I'd drop the class if I could.. she thought bitterly, while plastering a cheerful look upon her face. Waving her goodbye to Vincent, Corryn shoved both hands within her pockets while making her way towards the school. With Summer's words in mind, she gave a shrug. "Room should be the building just to the left." she said, feeling Dominic soon beging to follow behind her. "Little tense there Cor.." The boy laughed. She sent him a glare, and stuck her tongue out at him. "Just annoyed at your stupidity." She shot back.

Passing door by door, Corryn often peered inside to see what students sat inside. Occasionally she would see one of the other guys, and wave but the teacher would soon enough tell her to be on her way. "Here we are." She said, turning to Dominic and Summer. Allowing Dominic to head on inside first, Corryn awaited for Summer. "Hey just wanted to say, congratulations for you and Vincent. Didn't think he'd ever get with someone who'd make him happy." She said, "Good to have another girl around finally." Corryn lied through her teeth which had become somewhat of a habit now a days. Proceeding into the classroom, the dark haired girl planted herself in a seat just off the side of Dominic.
