| Eyes shift down to her glass, she felt honored by his statement, and well she did have her moments. It didn’t take long for her eyes to lift back up. “Oh I would never clean someone else’s room, it would feel to wired to do it.” She cleaned her own room but never helped her mother or brother, she just couldn’t see someone doing that…going into some ones space and cleaning and shifting around stuff just send shivers though her.
Another sip and she nods her head. She really didn’t think she should go, she was help after all. “Oh…I am sorry but I think I might have decline.” She finished what was inside her drink and turned her eyes to the door and her head tilts to one side, she hadn’t seen many neko’s before.
Giggles some and glanced at him and rose to her feet, setting her glass down upon the table next to her chair. “Scaring me right out of the place.” Nods her head.
Another flash of her friendly smile. “I am Hisoka and it’s a pleasure to meet you and thank you so much for taking the time to show me around!” She was feeling quite at ease around these people and her true nature was starting to show. She was a very happy, easy going person by nature and it was starting to be seen. |

| At her words, Espen found himself smiling a little bit despite himself. "That's a very wise thing to say, wisdom truly has no age. You won't need to do anything demeaning or embarrassing, I promise. Just some basic things, making sure everything is organized and cleaned, makning sure the refrigator is restocked with food. Don't clean Camila's room or any of the rooms but the guest, though a maid you may be, you aren't a slave. We Can, at the least, clean after ourselves. The only reason I want ed to hire one was because we aren't here as often as we would like, and with my busy schedule..It's hard to keep things organized." He admitted, downing the rest of his glass before placing it away on the desk. "I'm going to be doing some rather dull paper work, but I will likely be in here for at least another hour, then I have to attend a meeting." He explained, trying to remember everything. "By the time I come back, it'll be time for dinner and you'll be more then welcomed to join us." He was about to say more, when a knock was heard. "Come in." Stepping in was a young woman, brown hair and eyes, she seemed pretty, but had cat ears and a tail. "I'm sorry to bother you but I wanted to know if the new blood was ready." Espen smiled, showing a bit of fangs slightly. "Of course, I'm just scaring our guest here Nalina." That caused the cat-girl to laugh lightly shaking her head. "Still the same I see." She turned to the newest guest. "Hello there, I'm Nalina. I'll be helping you around the house, it's nice to meet you." |

| “I find names which don’t have a meaning or history have more meaning then any other for the one who owns the strange name can make something special of it and they don’t have to live up to a history.” She smiles and takes a sip of her drink; her fingers stroke the sides of her glass. She was feeling so easy around him and finding her self-watching him taking everything about him. She was happy with what she saw and how the stories of what she had heard were so very untrue. She shifts in her sit, sitting up more. “Well yes, see my moms friend really didn’t say much to what I would be doing, so I am wondering what it is that you would need me to do. Um I can do anything, clean, fold cloths run and get coffee…I have had all sorts of jobs and can pretty much do anything you would want me to.” She raised her shoulders up to the sky, she would do anything well to a point. |

| This wasn't the first time someone had asked him about his name, but he never really had a clear answer to it, not even Garnet did. He had looked through the libaries and had found nothing.(and beleive him, having lived for sixty years, he had a lot of time to do such) He had long concluded this his name was exceptionally unique, old, rare or had simply been merely words slapped together from his mother's mind. Since had died some time ago, it was impossible to ask her now until the next life, not that he had intentions of dying anytime soon. He still had a few thousand years before he became a old man, after all. Another blessing(in his mind) was that his race, though having long life-spans, were finite unlike others of his race. "Espen Brunel is quite the unique name. But I honestly couldn't tell you." He said with a shake of his head. "My mother was the one who gave me that name, I''ve never found it on the iternet or in the libaries. I'm starting to beleive she had thrown some words randomly together to create a nice, unique name. Unfourtnately, she is no longer with us." He looked into his wine glass, a small brief sad smile before giving a half-shrugg, the emotion gone in that instant. "As is, I can't answer that question now but maybe one of these days. Is there any questions you want to ask me about your duties around the mansion?" |

| “And the saying is very true, we must always look back on what had happened to see what might happen again and see if we can do it better.” It was her motto in a way; her mother had at an early age instilled a love of learning history onto her. “I believe it will, I already teach a lot to my younger brother. He is always coming to be for help on homework.” She pictured the sweet face of her brother, eyes lifted up from a page in a book. Everyone said she was good at teaching others; she had a way of making it easy to learn the subject.
“Oh it’s quite alright, mine does the same to mom says if I was allowed I could keep talking and talking for hours with out anyone else getting a word in.” A soft laugh leaves her lips and she felt her nervousness starting to leave her. “Oh well my mothers friend works for you and she found out that I needed a job and she knew that I was hard working so she told me that there was an opening here.” Her head nodded up and down. “It is, my mother is from Japan but she moved out here when she was about 15 and she had always loved the name Hisoka and well we added the last part after dad left for it was hers.”
She couldn’t believe she was telling this man all this about her, but she didn’t find it odd in one way and anyway he asked. “I hope you don’t mind me asking how you came by your name, I mean its just one I don’t hear often so I was just wondering.”
(Ooc: Oh its quite alright I know how that goes.) |

| (OCC: Sorry for the delay, net got cut off -_-) Espen listened to the young woman's story attentively, giving her his ear without once trying to talk over or interrupt her. It seemed much of the information Hisoka had gotten was wrong or inaccurate, then again many made up rumors and stories about him before getting to know him. Some had said he was cold-blooded and only cared about money, others said he was type of killer; the later which had made him laugh upon hearing it. Daywalkers barely needed anyblood, least not enough to seriously hurt or kill anyone. The blood he did take was from animals, and the majority of the time he didn't kill them(unless he was eating meat of course) Other then that, unlike their 'Undead' cousins, they could safely live off food for a long time without worrying about blood, of course it was always amusing to hear the lore applied to his particular breed of vampire. "History was a favorite subject of mine's." The silver-haired man replied with a soft smile. "In order not to repeat the mistakes, we must look towards our history. At least, that's what my aunt always tells me since I was a boy. I do hope that teaching works out for you, because I beleive teaching and imparting knowledge to others for them to make their lives better is one of the most priceless gifts someone can receive." He shook his head. "I'm sorry if my tongue seems to waddle on its own so much, so I've been told by Garnet my aunt. I think it was a term of affection though." His tone had some light mirth in it before becoming more serious. "If you don't mind me asking, I have two questions for the curious mind. One, how did you find out about this job? And two, this has nothing to do with the job but simple intelluctal curiousity, your name and surname is Japanese, correct?" |

| With a soft sigh of relief she sat down on the chair, she laughed softly. God this man was so different from other people she had worked for, he was so laid back! She had heard people say this man was a real hard ass, but from what she saw he wasn’t like that at all and she liked it, it would be so much more fun to work for this man then the one she had heard about!
Her eyes shift around the room, taking everything in he must of worked very hard to earn all of this for him self. She wanted this for her self, but with the job she wanted it wasn’t going to look like she was going to have a life like his. Her eyes move back to him, listening to his words as she takes another sip of her drink, she never dreamed she would be asked to meet his family. “I promise I won’t say a word about what passed your lips to any of them.” She liked the idea of working for this man more and more.
“I have a baby brother, well really he isn’t much of a baby any more he is seven and in my eyes he is a baby, but he wont except that fact and fights me on it every time I brink it up!” She shakes her head with a smile, but soon her smile faded she could tell that he and his father didn’t get along and she felt they shared a connection. “I live with my mother and brother down town. My mother works hard to take care of us but its getting harder now and the man that was my father doesn’t help us any, he left a few years back for someone much younger.”
She winkles her nose, she didn’t like talking about the man who called him self her father so she quickly changed subjects. “I am study mostly history in collage for I want to meager in that field, either I want to become a teacher or someone who uses their hands to dig things up.” |

| Taking a brief bird-like sip of his drink, he placed it gently on the oak desk behind him, he'd drink the rest of it later when he was in the mood. Rest assured that he would drink the rest of it as he hated wasting things, just because he and his family had money didn't mean they should take their blessing's for granted. Espen listened to her, his face having a polite smile on his face, yet for a moment there almost what looked like sadness in those eyes. It was far too quick to be able to tell though, it might as well just been her imagination playing tricks on her. "College student, you say?" He nodded a bit in approval. "I respect people who are trying to better themselves in this cold world of ours, life is rarely what one expects. You may have a seat, I'm no one terribly important." He teased lightly once more, the man seemed very easy-going and laid back despite his position. "I just want to know some of your interest, maybe were you want to be five or ten years from now? But as promised, I'll tell you more about myself." "I opened up this Law Firm around roughly twenty years ago, though much you see before you I have earned myself. My family, espically my aunt were quite well off but I wanted to earn many of the things on my own. This house is my aunts, we'll, ours." He corrected. "But it's been in our family so long that I didn't want it not put to use. I'm sure you'll meet the rest of my family, perhaps over dinner tonight if you are willing. My aunt Garnet may seem a bit cold, but she's marshmellow at heart. Don't tell her I said that though, I don't wish for her to hurt me." He smiled a little at thos words, seeming tickled, obviously it was a inside joke that required one to get to know his aunt better. "I have my adopted sister Sydney who is a half-demon, she's around five years old but she won't give you trouble. She's quite the genial child to be honest. Then I have my half-sister Camila, she acts tough but she has a good heart, she's half-human. My father didn't..think so." Epsen still had that gentle smile on his face, but now there was some bitterness at the last part, obviously father and son had a strained relationship at best. |

| The smile on her lips quickly grew to one that was more real, she was so nervous! This wasn’t her first time meeting a vampire so it wasn’t in the area which made her nervous, it was the fact that the man was a very important person and second she needed the job and well he paid well. So she had to be nervous but at the same time her self, so she tried to clam down a little. “I thank you so much for letting me come.” She happily fallowed him and her eyes dart all about her, taking everything in as she walks.
Standing in the room she placed her hands behind her back and watched him as he got out a key. She was unsure if she could sit, so with manners she stood waiting to be seated. She smiles and reached out taking the glass that was in his hand. “Thank you so much, sir.” She was thirsty. A soft laugh came from her lips as she heard his words. “I would hope not, I am not very good drinking.” She blinks, oh god she didn’t just say that! She wanted to slap her self for that one. She laughs softly and takes a sip of her drink. “Well…” She though for a moment, what could she say to the man? “I am in a year in my collage and looking for a job so I can keep paying for it…Sir, I am sorry but I am so unsure what do you want to hear?” She tilts her head a bit. |

| Espen didn't show that he was troubled by anything from earlier, right now they had someone who was working for them that would be their guest for now. He didn't all that much, if anytihng about the girl in front of him besides that she was a human. While he did have other humans that did work with him and his group, most of them had some special abilties or another but this one seemed thus far normal seemed normal. If she was truly normal or she had dormant powers sleeping within her he couldn't say, but was it was little importance as long as she kep t a open-mind and did her fair share. "Welcome to my home, as long as you are here I want you make yourself comfortable." He said in a warm tone. "I'll show you around and give a bit more information as needed, if you'd be as kind to follow me." Alfred bowed to them and left to go about his business just as the Daywalker lead the young woman to a large room, sitting by the window was a large oak desk and towards the right was a large book shelf. On the opposite end stood what looked like a liquor cabinet was locked, not that far from the large window that gave a beautiful view of a garden. Reaching into his pockets, he pulled out a small key, popping open the lock before retrieving what looked like wine. "It's actually just very good Apple Cider. Don't worry, my intentions aren't to get you drunk, on the first day at least." His tone was light and teasing as he poured both of them a cup, but if she declined it would be all right. "So tell me a little about yourself, and in turn I'll do the same." |

| Hisoka Tochigi stood in front of the mansion, her eyes shifting upward to look at it. She bites her lower lip. She needed this job very badly; she had bills for school to pay. She shifts her eyes back down to the numbers on the side and she then turns her eyes back onto the slip of paper she was holding in her hands. She was in the right place, she had heard about the job from one of her mother’s friends who worked here. She knew that the man inside the building was non human but she didn’t care it was quite a well paying job. She smiles softly and folds the piece of paper and slips it back into her pocket. She takes a deep breath and lifts her head up; she moves her fingers across her cheek pushing a strand of hair away from her eyes. Slowly she walks up the step way of the house, she takes a deep breath and softly lets her knuckles rake across the door. She was for a moment or two before the door opens and she comes face to face with a man in a butler suit, she sends him a friendly smile and a how do you do before steeping inside the room. Watching as he walked away she turns her eyes to look about the room she was standing in. It was a nice place; it would be simple to keep up. She wondered how many people worked her, it looked like it was quite a big place but one could never know for sure. She knew the guy paid well for a good job down, thanks to her mother’s friend and well she was a very hard worker. She just needed the job for a little while. She turns her eyes back to where the butler had left. She smiles happily at the man who was in front of her and reached out to take his hand and shake it. “My name is Hisoka Tochigi, it is such a pleasure to meet you.” She takes her hand back, smiling still. |

| Espen Brunel was a patient man and few things distrubed him but lately he had felt something amiss that he couldn't quite put his finger on. Things had been going well lately and he had even won the case that had allowed a non-human family to stay within their homes after finding out the landlord had been trying to find loopholes to kick them out even if they had been paying on time. It still amused and both saddened that people would be so caught in their prejudices that would resort to cutting off their own arm so to speak. The jury hadn't been on his side once the evidence came out and he was hauled off to jail. That had been a week ago but at the moment, the Daywalker Vampire was trying to have some down time with his family, his half-sister and his adopted sister. His father was still alive but the two had a strained relationship at best, and once he tried to brush his half-sister under the rug had been the straw that broke the camels back. It had resulted in a fight that had left him a few scars and bitter words pass between the two, and as such the two never talked again. He wanted nothing to do with the "half-breed" though in Epsen's opinion, if he didn't want a child with human blood, he shouldn't have been having flings with human women anyway. A soft knock interrupted the young vampires thoughts, causing him to stop looking through his paper work from his desk in his office. "Come in." Stepping inside was a man in his thirties wearing a butler outfit. While Espen preferred to do things himself, when he was at work with bigger houses such as this one needed help with to look after. It was one of his father's mansions but he figured he could put it to better use then him then silly parties or mere social gatherings. "Master Espen, the newest person that wanted to work with you has arrived, they're waiting for you down strairs." The butler said getting to the point before bowing. "I shall leave you to your work now young master." "Thank you Alfred, I promise to be down shortly." Espen then put his large ink pen down to the side for now, excusing himself from his desk before heading out and down the stairs. Even as he did these simple movements, each of them were graceful and calculated, then again he had been around for a one-hundred odd years so it had taken its effect on him subconciously. "I hear you wanted for me." Espen said kindly once reaching them, hand extended. "I'm Espen Brunel, nice to meet your aquatience." |
