Kai came back with a roll of bandages once again. "Oh, I see," he responded. He grinned at her, and then crouched down next to her, stared at the wound, and then looked at Chiyo for permission to change her bandages, since he'd have to lift her shirt up.

Kai came back from the kitchen with some toast and eggs - he was one for eating healthy - and sat down on the floor, grunting a little bit with the effort.
"Do you need to get home anytime soon?" he asked, a little worried. But then he stood back up. "I'll go get the bandages," he muttered.

"You don't need to apologize," he sighed, crouching so he was face to face with her. Then his eyes ran over her stomach area unconciously. "I'll change your bandages later, okay?"
He sat there for a short while, and then muttered, "I'll get your breakfast," before standing up and walking over to the kitchen. "What do you want?" he called back, facing the refridgerator with a slightly dazed look.

Kai walked downstairs, to check on Chiyo. He found her trying to sit up, already awake, and he hurried to her side to assist her.
"Don't push yourself," he warned her, shooting her a look. "It'll only get worse then." He placed a gentle hand on her forehead. "I'll get you something to eat soon. How do you feel today?"

Kai just smiled, grateful that she had fallen asleep, and draped a blanket on her body carefully. Then, giving her one more glance, he turned around to walk to his own chanbers.

They would talk the following morning.

Kai's face became worried. "You should put direct pressure," he said, frowning, as he reached over for another roll of bandages. He unrolled it, and then carefully tended to her wound.
"You should sleep. I'll get you a glass of water first though." He stood up to leave for the kitchen.
