High above Earth, a satillite caught an energy signal from a fast moving object. It was heading straight toward Earth, picking up speed at an alarming rate. The object glowed a stunning gold color, shooting through the blackness of space like some jet-powerd firefly. It didn't slow down or alter it's course in the slightest, and as a result, collided with...... no pierced through the moon, leaving a hole two feet wide and about 3476.28 km deep through the celestial mass. the object continued it's flightpath, falling even faster toward Earth. Thousands of miles below, a group of scientists monitored this phenomenon with expressions of shock and confusion. from the astral reasearch facility they could see the object was in the outer atmosphere now. One scientist turned to his colleague with nervous anticipation. "Just.....just what IS that!? It's moving too fast to be an asteroid an,....and it isn't even burning up in the atmosphere!" His colleague patted him on the shoulder, a gesture meant to calm both his nerves and his friend's. He cleared his throat, a look of worry on his face. "Whatever it is............I hope it's friendly......." Forty two humans watched in nervous anticipation as the object fell faster. "At this rate, less than twenty seconds to impact........" One scientist coughed. Another sipped his tea, nearly spilling it on himself. "Four seconds..........." "God help us all......"
