Melkior briefly turned his attention to the creature. From the tone and muscular structure he identified this creature as a female of it's species. His eyes were half open, giving him the appearance of one who had just awoken from a soothing dream. He focused these eyes on the creature and responded. "Danger? No. You are in danger sister." Melkior pointed a finger at the woman, and a spft light began to dance around the tip. Melkior closed his eyes and spoke a few words in a different language. Suddenly the landscape shifted around both Melkior and the awestruck scientists around him. The sky shifted, the earth warped and changed, as if the very universe were decaying and simultaneously reforming before thier eyes.

Melkior's ears had fully recoverd. He stood up, shaking the dust from his robe. His feathers would grow back in a few hours, so it was no problem but........ Melkior recovered hearing picked up the sound of rapid footsteps. Something was approaching.....fast The creature who had spoken to him did not seem to hear it. Melkior brushed it aside, removing the obstruction to his vision. A large cloud of dust could be faintly seen in the distance. Melkior stared straight at it, his face void of expression. "Come"

At this time Syn had to conserve his energy. The distance he ran should've been enough to tire him beyond recognition if not for Pirad's own assistance. His legs didn't throb, but only thrived on the benefits of having a good work out. But that was besides the point. The compass led him here, in this deserted, lifeless area. Much in the same vain that his planet was in. Nothing truly breathing. A wasteland. Syn slowed down his pace to follow the compass with more accurate precision. It was then he saw him at a distance. So....so well preserved and youthful he seemed to have jumped out of his memories. He was with someone. An associate? A partner? Pirad explained to Syn that Melkior wasn't the only one of his kind. There were more like him, more devoted to his kind of ruthlessness. Syn drew out Pirad from his sheath and approached carefully, fire lit in his eyes. He whispered underneath his breath.

"I'm coming for you you damn bastard."

Melkior felt a sense of relief as his sight slowly began to return to him. First it was blurry shapes, then he could see clearly. Focusing on the creature that made more noise. His ears were starting to recover. The noise she made now madealot more sense. When he heard the word "Injuries" he got on his knees. Looking at his arms and torso it didn't seem like he was hurt. But........Melkior closed his eyes and a soft tearing sound was heard. That sound came from the skin on his back, from both shoulder blades. Huge bone-like potrusions emerged from his body. Melkior studied them closely, then turned toward the strange creature who had spoken to him. "No injuries. Feathers will grow back soon. there is no cause for worry." He said all of this, in an indifferent, monotone voice. He made contact with the creature, leaning in closer so it could hear him. He spoke slowly, sounding out every word. "Do.....you.............understand?"

Melkior heard a sound. He moved his eyes toward the general direction, though he knew it would be useless to try to see it's origin. The sound seemed to be a language, but it was so garbled and unrecognizable Melkior really couldn't be sure. He moved his fingers and toes one by one, thus realization that he could move came to him. Without delay he sprang to his feet, but almost lost his balance again. He held out his arms and moved them, testing his joints and muscles. "They seem to be unharmed......" Remembering the sounds he heard, Melkior stared at the direction from whence they came and repeated them the exact same way he'd heard it, the same tone and volume. "Are you ok? What is your name?" Melkior simply repeated the noise, he had no idea what he was saying; much like a parrot copies the sounds it hears. Perhaps it was some sort of greeting here.

As he felt the touch of another being, Melkior's eyes snapped open. Though he knew his eyes were open, he couldn't see anything. It was like being in a pitch black room. Turning his head to the side, he tried to check his bodily functions. So, he could feel but everything below his neck would not move. He wasn't sure if his ears were working, but he doubted it because this planet seemed too quiet. And the scariest thing yet: his eyes were open but he could not see. In a voice of indifferance he simply stated to no one in particular "I am blind"

From the dust cloud a figure stood up. Staggering it tried to keep it's balance on the unfamiliar soil. The figure coughed, then tried to take a step forward. It tripped, falling face down. The figure lay still, making no move whatsoever to get up. The enormous dust cloud that the impact caused slowly began to clear.
