Movies? She tilted her head as she gazed at him. His eyes were so...amazing. They shifted constantly and changed their colors all at once. The green came out at times and in the light the crystal blue shone through. She smiled and shook her head, pulling her blond hair over her shoulder as she did so. The locks played over her skin and hung down passed her chest. "I didn't know you had to go anywhere to watch movies," She answered with a small chuckle. He probably thought that she was so silly. He knew everything about the world and she knew nothing.

She nodded her head to him as he got up and moved back into the bathroom. She was just about to suggest that he get some clothes on, because an idea had just struck her. She didn't usually get to go out, but this might be on different circumstances. Usually she had no reason to go out of the house, but today was definitely different. She lifted a hand and rubbed her eyes for a moment as she waited for him to come out of the bathroom.

"Do you have any plans today?"
She asked, almost forgetting that he was totally new here. She bit her lip and shook her head. "Sorry, uhm, do you want to go somewhere with me?" She asked softly.

His ever-watching hazel hues picked up the very light shade of pink as it began to paint itself across her cheeks. What was with that, anyway? Blushes were odd, in Iyan's books. It was just blood moving through your cheeks wasnt it? Why do people suddenly think that the person is embarassed because of it? Oh, i'm sorry. My blood circulation has just strengthened slightly. I'm so embarassed.

"Oh? No'ones done that for awile actually. Nice to see someone remotely cares." he laughed faintly, as if he himself didnt believe it. His brow cocked slightly at her question, though. Wouldnt she have gotten a file or report on him before he arrived? Isnt that what happened with rich people? They knew pretty much everything just by reading a file? At any rate, she asked.
"Ditto. 17, too. You look old enough to be 19 though. Maybe you could sneak yourself into R-rated movies, huh?" he snickered softly, though wondered whether or not she actually ever went out to do simple social activities like that. Or even just hung out anywhere. Did all rich people need some kind of reason to go somewhere?
He shrugged his shoulders slowly, popping either one as they had tightened from his shower. He generally took lukewarm showers, since hot water never really woke you up in the mornings.
"Anyway.. If you wanted to do something, you're probably going to have to wait until I get dressed. I dont think anyone would appreciate my amazing outfit that I have on." he rolled his eyes somewhat playfully before standing and gesturing towards the door.
"So. I'll be out in 5." he didnt bother waiting for an answer, as usual. He was more of a 'do' person, rather than 'wait'. He got genuinely bored rather often and easilly, so he always needed to keep moving.
Making his way to his wardrobe, he pulled open one of the draws and started fishing through it.

The minute that he had walked out of the bathroom that had been connected to his bedroom, she felt silly. Why didn't she think to look just a little harder? She had thought he had left, and she was upset about it, why? She didn't even know the boy! A light pink blush landed over her cheeks as she found herself staring. She had never known another boy before, besides her father. This was all new to her, and to be honest, she wasn't sure if she liked it or not. It made her feel awkward, insecure, and unsure of any of the decisions that she had made before. Even the decisions she was making now she wasn't sure if they were the right ones.

She turned and looked at him as he laid on his bed next to her, not being able to stifle the small weak smile that spread over her lips at the question about Terry. Terry had been with the family almost as long as Asia and they were both very reliable. Still, they had a way of thoroughly doing their job to a point that was almost annoying. Brooklynn could see why he would get a little upset. "It's not in Terry's job description to evaluate emotions," she answered in a soft voice as she turned her eyes away to gaze into the distance.

She moved her blue orbs back onto Iyan, and her body tensed up at his question. Why was she there? Uh, well...that was a good question. She didn't even know why she was there, in his room, sitting on his bed while he was half naked. No, he was naked, just underneath the towel. She blushed a little more and looked away from him, tucking a lock of her blond hair behind her ear. "I wanted to see how you were doing. I'm sorry that we didn't get much time to talk before, I know that you were tired. I'm 17, how old are you?" She asked as casually as possible, trying to make small talk seem as natural as she could.

His bedroom was empty, save Brooklynn. He didnt touch anything, really. He didnt see a ned to, so everythin was pretty much in the same place as it always had been. His closet door was open slightly, many of his outfits and random articles of clotheing neatly tucked away within. There werent many signs of him gone, other than he not actually being in the room at the time. Brooklynn was probably over-estimating her own conclusive abilities.
The second door in the room slowly pushed open, a rush of steam and hot air billowed into the room and instantly pooled at the top.
A towel rubbed at his blonde head of hair, drying it out after having just been in the shower. His lower body was wrapped in a towel, too.
"I thought it was impolite to enter other people's rooms without permission?" he asked with a gentle yawn. His hazel hues had returned from the greenish-blue they turned to earlier. He let the towel sit atop his head as he sat himself down beside her.
"Is Terry cursed with being old and stubborn?" he asked, out of the blue. He didnt really hold it against the old man for trying to get him to go. There was probably something important to be spoken, but it didnt change the fact that he really didnt want to.
He didnt bother waiting for her answer, simply laying back atop the bed and letting his blonde strands of hair, which had caught eachother in a damp cling, drag about wherever they chose to go. Man, he was so bored here.

-4 Weeks Previous-

A loud yawn was all that was audible from the room the two sat in. Jane, Iyan's girlfriend at the time, was quite tired from her night out. Iyan, on the other hand, was pretty much asleep already.
"I really cant be fucked going to school tomorrow." he sighed boredly, glancing about the room in a half-assed investigation. They were at Jane's place and her parents were off doing something.
"Eh. Go anyway. Werent you going to fuck with that old teacher anyway...? The one who needs to take anti-depressants..?" she asked slowly, her half-mast hues wandering about until finally laid on his own set.
"Eh." he shrugged, not too eager to think at this time.
A small vibration came from his right pocket, which annoyed both of them. He dug his hand into it and pulled his phone out, flipping it open and placing it to his ear.
"Yeah...?" he asked casually, staring down at the ground without noticing.
A moment passed. Then a minute. Then two. He couldnt talk. Couldnt breathe.

-Present Time-

He turned slightly to glance to her eyes, which he only took notice of that day they met.
"Why are you here, anyway?" he asked, completely forgetting that she had just seemingly come from nowhere. He didnt expect anyone to bother him, but then, it was relatively welcomed. All he would do is sleep anyway.

She hadn't been told the details of his father. Just that he had died. Instantly her stomach sank again, leaving her to regret ever eating anything that had been on her plate. How could she have forgotten? Perhaps he didn't hate her, or this place. It was just that it reminded him that his father was gone. A shiver went down Brooklynn's spine as she thought about how she would feel if her dad was gone. Her father was her best friend and her favorite companion. If anything were to happen to him she would more than likely go crazy. Poor, poor Iyan.

When he refused to go, she extended a hand out to the table, willing herself to speak. It wasn't right for a woman to speak out of turn. She had to be acknowledged. And as per usual, Brooklynn was ignored and Terry continued to talk on and on, blabbering like the old servant that he really was. He didn't mean any harm, Brooklynn knew that, but words could harm people. She knew that. That had been one of her lessons last year. It was why she chose her words so carefully.

Her eyes widened and she pulled herself back from the table a bit at Iyan's reaction. She wasn't surprised, she knew that it was bound to happen. She was just surprised at the force that was behind it. Poor Iyan! Her heart ached again, but this wasn't like what happened last night. Instead of her heart aching from Iyan, it ached for him. Her eyes blazed as she looked over at Terry, a sort of fume rising in her throat.

"Terry, how could you? That boy just lost is father! Is that how you would act if I lost mine?" Brooklynn gazed at him with a stare that no one had ever seen before. It seemed that even little Asia stopped cooking for the time being.

"I-uhm, no Miss, I apologize..."

Brooklynn shook her head as she rose up from the table, pulling the jacked off the back and placing it over the ornate tank top that she had been wearing. "Don't apologize to me." Feeling sick to her stomach she left the room, her hair flying about her face in their natural straight locks in a sort of frenzy. Here was a new emotion. Anger. She wasn't used to feeling anger, women weren't supposed to. It was one of those improper emotions. A vile emotion that can lead to bad things, just like what she had decided to do.

She moved down the hallway. She knew where his room was, but that was just because she knew the entire layout of this house. This was a bad idea, her mind told her as she stared at the back of his closed white oak door. She knew this was against rules and should her father find out - all would be lost. But this was for Iyan. He was hurting, he needed a friend, and if he was going to live here, constantly dragging out new emotions from beneath the surface, Brooklynn was going to need a friend too. Hesitantly, she lifted her hand and placed her palm on the door.

"Iyan..." She called in a soft voice that was not at all robotic. It was sad. "Iyan, I'm sorry, I didn't know. Listen, can I come in?" She asked again, a little softer this time. She didn't want anyone to hear she was asking to come in. There was no answer. "I know you're upset, but please let me come in." No answer. "Iyan?"

She put her hand on the door knob and tested it. It clicked. The door was unlocked. She frowned slightly and bit on her lip as she turned the handle and pushed the door open. The room was empty. She ventured in a little further and looked at the neatness that surrounded her. Her own little perfect world had bled into his, and he couldn't take it. She sat down on the bed and gazed down at her high heeled feet. The only person outside her house that she had ever known. He was gone.

What was the date, anyway? And the actual day itself? Was it thursday...? No, it felt like a saturday. But maybe he was just basing that off the no schooling factor this place seemed to hold. What were they going to do about his education anyway? Not like he could pay for himself, nor did he know of any schools in the area. Let alone the area itself. Maybe they would provide him with private tutoring? Either way, he probably should start again sometime soon.
His gaze was drawn to her breakfast, which had hardly been touched, as it was pushed aside. What a waste of good food.
Hazul hues flickering slightly as she spoke up, he returned his attention to her and her robotic smile. She finally spoke up, after he had provided the opportunity. Though she sounded somewhat... Unhappy? Even though the tone was exactly like previous, her sobbing smile was evident this time around. She hated him. It was obvious.
Seeing throug her fake smile and good morning, he glanced away.
"It's still early. Day hasnt started yet. But... I'm alright, now that I slept." he stated with a flat sigh soon after. Finally, he lifted his fork and began to eat, starting with a rasher of bacon.
"So." he started, mouth semi-full from the bite, "What am I going to be doing today? Bird watching? Sky diving? Painting? Maybe learning japanese." he was obviously mocking her, and her wealth. As though he despised it with all of his being. But in truth, he was really just incredibly jealous. She had it so well off, compared to he. He felt as though he were dealt a pair of two's, while she had two aces from the get go.
"Master Iyan will be attending the a meeting at the Rachester & Co funeral centre, where the will of your father will be read." The withered old voice of Terry stated. Apparantly he had been standing behind him this entire time.
Iyan's form froze, as did his pupils. His fork slipped from his grip and clashed against the plate with a loud clang.
"...I'm not going." he exclaimed softly, his head lowering to the point where his blonde strands of hair shielded his eyes from sight.
"Ah, Master Iyan, i'm afraid you have to go." Terry replied, staring directly down to him.
He could feel the eyes lingering on his form. As if he were being looked down on. How dare they.
"I said... I'm not going." he turned slowly, ifting his head slightly so he could see the old bastard. His pupils had narrowed to the point of becoming almost complete slits and his hazel colourings had changed slightly, becoming more of a greenish-tone.
A stare down ensued between the two, but ultimately Terry backed down. Something about Iyan's eyes turned him off his own arguement.
"A-Ah.. Of course, Master Iyan. My apologies for speaking out of place." he spoke softly, bowing before turning to leave.
"You'll do anything I ask, Terry? Then... My father is never to be mentioned in my presence. Ever." with that said, Iyan stood from the table and walked out almost straight after, not even caring for a goodbye.
"I'll be in my room." he finally said, jut so they wouldnt go looking for him.
The door slammed shut and silence was all that was audible from then on. He was gone.

As he passed her, everything went back to normal. She let out a breath that she had unconsciously been holding the entire time that her and Iyan had exchanged words and she already began unclipping the earrings from her ears. She wanted to get out of this ridiculous dress, and for some odd reason she wanted to throw herself down on her bed and cry. Why? Because some silly little boy didn't accept her warm welcome? How stupid. Still, she didn't like this feeling. She knew he didn't like her. She knew it deep down in her heart. He didn't have to say it, in fact she didn't want him to say it, but it didn't make the hurt any less.

She moved up the stairs with a surprising harshness. She pushed Asia aside when she went to help her undo the clasp on her dress, to help her loosen her hair. Brooklynn wanted to do it herself - for once. She didn't know what had come over her,a nd she knew that Asia was more than startled by the look on her face. Brooklynn sighed as she stared at herself in the mirror, untwisting her beautiful silken locks from the bun that it had been placed in.

Something was wrong. She could tell by the way that her face looked. Her lips were a little more pouty and though she tried, they would not smile for the world. Her eyes sagged a little more than usual and constantly held a gleaming factor that looked like they would brim over any second. Why? She didn't understand it! She moved away from her mirror and began to get dressed back into her stylish casual clothes that she had been wearing before going downstairs to wait for her parents to arrive back home.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her prediction had proved correct. Her parents came home, they had a wonderful evening together, ate dinner, and shared some quality time like the did most every night. Iyan never came out of his room. He hated being here. He didn't like her, and now he hated being in this house. Brooklynn went to bed with a heavy heart, and the minute that her head hit the pillow, the tears began to ooze out of her eyes, staining her pillowcase black from her mascara.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She woke the next morning feeling very cranky. She remembered crying through most of the night, whimpering stupid little things over and over again. She pushed the brush through her hair, gripping the handle tightly. Just the thought of it got her blood rising. She had never cried before, not over something stupid like this! A boy, and he didn't even do anything to her. Why was she so perplexed by his behavior? Why was he so different? She had no answers and she knew that no one did, but Asia had breakfast and that was sure to clear up her mind.

She settled herself in her usual seat at the table. It was permanently comfortable to her body and she always felt snug when she slid right in. Today was no different. The smell of pancakes, waffles, sausage and bacon was all too overbearing to be cranky here. Asia was always so sure that no one would have a bad breakfast. Brooklynn sighed softly as she began to chew, silently appreciating the old maid whom she had come to love.

Then it happened. He walked in and sat right in front of her. Her heart nearly jumped out of her chest and impaled itself on her fork. She felt it flutter, and then felt her stomach sink. That seemed to be a recurring feeling when he was around. She didn't know how to act and it made her nervous. She didn't want to say anything because he practically hated her. She turned down to look at her plate and found that she was no longer hungry, so she pushed it away.

He spoke and her entire body jarred. "Good morning, Iyan. How was your day?" She asked softly, this time her voice being a little harder to hear. It still held that soft sweet tone that she had used yesterday but it was a little weaker.

How could she keep such a robotic pose in this situation. He just shrugged off her signs of appreciate and acception, but she still smiled to him. He really did except someone to start yelling. Maybe this place was a little more different than he had previously thought. He continued to stare at her eerie smile, taking note of its slight movements. It was probably her way of sobbing. Her smile would always be present, but truly she felt horrible inside. Or, he thought that, at least. His stare withdrew as she started to speak again, taking note of how her tone was used. Why was she so... Terry? Great. The ever-so-eager butler gets to escort him to his room for sleep. Somehow, the thought of sleep slowly started to slip from his mind. For some reason, he didnt think he'd be getting much sleep. But perhaps he'd be pleasantly surprised.
He turned his attention back to the woman before him again, nodding his head lightly as she said her farewells in the usual manner after having just met someone.
"You too." he replied simply, giving a very faint, and perhaps fake, smile. He turned his gaze away and suddenly, he grew distant again. As though they hadnt just spoken. As though, he were a complete stranger. He had that effect on most people, even his father. He was very...
"Master Iyan, I shall now escort you to your room. Your belongings have already been brought there by our maid, so if you would please..." he gestured for Iyan to start first by lifting his arm and pointing towards the main stairs with an open hand, as though he were offering him to move first. Iyan felt a heavy sigh almost hit his lips, but he held it back.
"Yeah yeah..." he replied flatly, his expressionless-passive eyes coming back to their posts. As if he didnt care about anything anymore.
He started up the stairs and Terry soon followed, happy to be of assistance.

Some time had passed by in the mansion. Hours had finally turned into a full 24-hour day, as Iyan hadnt even stepped out of his room. Maybe it was because he had finally struck his severe depression? Or maybe he just needed some time to himself? Good reasons, but really he was just sleeping.
Finally, the door cracked open and he stepped out slowly, trying to avoid attention. He really didnt want to be bothered right now. He was just VERY hungry.
He crept his way down the hallway, or rather walked. His footsteps were silent however. He always moved like that, for some odd reason.
He came across the next door from his room, which looked as though it may actually lead into a kitchen. He pushed the door ajar, peering in silently. His hazel-bron hues scanning the area for any signs of edibles. Damn it, just another bedroom. How many rooms were in this place anyway? Maybe he needed to find a map, just for himself.
And here he was, thinking random thoughts. It was too early in the morning.
He sluggishly found his way to the main hall, which led to almost every room in the entire estate. He found himself yawning loudly, which surprised even himself. Was he really still tired?
"Master Iyan!" a loud booming voice came from behind.
"The hell!?" he jumped, almost toppling over from fright.
"Why did you sneak up on me you damned old man!?" he barked irritatedly.
"You have missed 3 meals so far, master Iyan. I strongly recommend coming to the dining hall to eat. Miss Brooklynn should already be there, eating. Now come!" his hand gripped Iyan's shoulder roughly before yanking him aside, dragging him to go eat breakfast.
The door swung open and Iyan was placed down at his seat opposite Brooklynn. He swore inwardly, cursing the fact that Terry even existed. How annoying he was.
He glanced down at the fod infront of him, which all looked and seemed very... Good. Fantastic, actually. He dared to pick up the fork nearest him before slowly placing it into his breakfast, which mainly consisted of bacon and eggs. The cook probably got it into her or his head that he needed some energy. Before he had even lifted the fork again, he took notice that Brooklynn was actually sitting opposite.
"Err... Morning." he gave the fake smile he mustered the last time they spoke.

He was...lost. She had not been expecting him to react the way that he did. She had to go through her mind and remember how her father acted in different situations and it was never like this. For this, she wasn't prepared. Her pretty little smile faltered for a moment and she felt like she were going to fall down - her knees were shaking so much. He had just lost his father and here she was being superficial. How...How, stupid! Imagine if she had lost her father! Both her and her mother would be devastated.

She continued to smile at him weakly, crossing her hands back here they belonged in front of her body. He had a very nice grip, her father would like that. He didn't want to be here though, and who could blame him. The kid should get a choice, especially because he didn't like the company he was going to have to share for such a long time. Maybe he would end up running away, or leaving...

Brooklynn shook the thoughts out of her mind and nodded her head to Terry. "Terry will show you to your room, it is improper for a lady to be in a boy's room," She answered lightly, robotically. She bowed her head to Iyan for a moment in order to allow the two to pass by. "It was nice to meet you."

So his name was Terry. Terry the Terrible. Terry the Torturous. Terry the Troublesome. He blunk slowly, taking one last glance at the male nearby in a slightly irritated gaze. Hopefully this would be their last encounter, as he found people like him to be very... Annoying. Or agt least, he did for the moment. He really wasnt in the best of moods.
Heavy bags bore beneath his hues, darkened circles of his skin outlining each eye. Damn jet-lag. He hadnt slept for a good 24 hours or so, as he did need to stop by in a few cities on the way here. Change planes and all. He felt the sudden exhaustion hit him as the girl before him started speaking. Damn, way to make a good first impression. Though if he were that concerned about first impressions, he probably shouldnt have been so cold with his driver.
His hand lifted from the pocket it had been snuggly hidden in and touched hers, cupping around it and shaking it politely.
"Thanks. But this isnt my home." finally, he spoke. A thick australian accent accompanying his words. He didnt mean to be impolite, but he was speaking the truth. He didnt belong here.
"Could I be shown to my room..? I kind of want to sleep." he gave the best smile he could, which ened up coming out rather awkward in the process. He really wasnt in the mood.

-3 Weeks Previous-

"Iyan, it's time for school." the familiar voice of his father called out from the end of the hallway.
"Yeah, yeah. It's fine.." he replied with a low grumble. He had his bag slung over one shoulder as he walked to the front door.
"I'm going." he stated, letting the door close behind him. His father hadnt even gotten a chance to say good bye.

The bag hit the ground hard, books and other school utensils rolling out onto the pavement. A completely blank expression on Iyan's face as he stared down at the, newly riddled with bullets, corpse of his very own father.
"...Dad?"

-Present-

He snapped out of his little moment of thought to turn his attention back to the girl before him.
"If you dont mind. Or Terry can help me find it..." his voice lowered somewhat as he turned to glance towards the ever-eager butler beside him.

[Sorry about how short it is.]

She had attempted to remember her place, her manners, everything that had been taught to her as she had Asia comb her hair. It was very relaxing. Ever since she was a little girl, Brooklynn had loved it when someone else brushed her hair, and Asia was more than happy to oblige. She sat in her chair as her maid ran the comb through her waist-length golden locks, the color almost matching the satin dress that she had on. She was getting ready for the boy's arrival.

There was a light knock on the door, and Brooklynn tilted her head up, continuing her stare at her reflection in the mirror. "Come in," She commanded lightly, shifting nervously in her chair.

The room seemed to light up when the person entered the room. Her skin was extremely pale, and her hair was brightly golden, just like Brooklynn's, and no one could seem to ignore that smile, the smile that radiated everywhere it turned. It was her mother. "Brooklynn, my, don't you look beautiful!" She exclaimed in a sort of out-of-breath way.

She smiled sheepishly and turned her gaze down to her hands as they sat in her lap. She stiffened as she felt the cold of the pins as Asia began to sweep her hair up elegantly, like all young women her age were supposed to wear it. "Father said it was important," She muttered softly.

Her mother smiled, her face just an older version of Brooklynn's, soft and welcoming. "Yes dear, it is. I am very happy that you are taking it so lightly. This is very important to him, and the boy is going to be living with us for as long as he needs to. Please be polite and treat him as if he were part of our family...like Asia!" She answered with a smile, gesturing to the maid whom had now moved on to doing her makeup.

But he's not, Brooklynn thought as she felt Asia's hands stiffen at the thought of being replaced. She sighed softly to herself and nodded her head to her mother, listening as she left and closed the door behind her. It was almost time to be ready, and for sure Brooklynn was obviously the only one who was going to be greeting the boy tonight. She knew that her father had a business party to go to and that her mother would be attending. They had been talking about it for months. Brooklynn stiffened as she just thought of this, feeling her stomach drop again into that bottomless pit. She didn't want to be alone with this boy, she didn't even know how to act! What would she say around him! What did boys talk about? How much makeup should she wear? What did boys look at? How far up should her hair be? How much perfume should she put on? Did boys care if you smelled or not?

She felt as if she were going to explode on the inside, but on the outside she was her proper self, smiling back at her reflection through the mirror as Asia carefully placed the makeup on her face, lining her eyes and filling her lashes with mascara. Brooklynn wasn't one for a lot of makeup, in fact she rather not wear any, but on special occasions, it called for it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A little while later, she heard her heel click on the floor with a pleasant sound that ran through the house as she stood behind the door. She had recieved word from Asia that they had just pulled into the parking lot. She pulled a few last tweaks from her hair that was swept up into a beautiful elegant bun away from her face, with her bangs draping perfectly over her forehead and only a few strands curled downwards, the golden dress that she wore sparkling in the light of the chandelier hanging in the entryway.
The door opened, and the boy was presented by Terry, their driver. She crossed her hands in front of her body and smiled brightly at the two, the smile lighting all the way up into her eyes, though deep in the blue orbs, she was shaking and shivered from nerves. He had...beautiful eyes. Beautiful hazel eyes that she had never seen before. Everyone in her family had blue eyes, and then all of their help had brown eyes, or some dark color. She had never seen these, hazel eyes, with their green undertones and the flecks of gold. She wanted to take his face into her hands and just gaze at them closely, find all of the colors that were hidden there...all of them, but that would be improper.
Instead, she just swallowed passed the lump in her throat and tried to get passed the butterflies that were raging against the walls of her stomach and she bowed her head. "Why thank you Terry." She smiled to the older man and then turned to the boy, extending her soft, pale hand out to him in a welcoming fashion. "Hello Iyan, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Brooklynn, welcome to my - your home," She answered, the corners of her pale pink lips twitching as she corrected herself carefully.
Building by building, street by street, they all continued to pass by as the young male watched semi-interested through the darkly tinted glass. His arm lifted from his side and elbow set against the door, propping up his chin with his palm. How boring.
Hues glanced to the left slowly, watching the back of his driver's head. Some kind of butler type. Like something from the movies, really. Such an expensive car to pick him up from the airport, too. And a first class ticket? What was with this? Trying to make him feel better by showering him with mass amounts of pity and sympathy?
He felt a light scoff break past his lips and quickly silenced himself, before the driver had a chance to really hear it. His hues drew to the right and back out the window, his lids slowly falling into a half mast. He didnt need this. But there was no'one else. God, how he hated his father.
"Young Master, you really shouldnt frown like that. You'll get wrinkles! Trust me, I know." chuckled the driver, glancing into his rear view mirror to give the boy a once over.
He looked up from the window and blunk slowly, not graceing him with an answer. Just a stare. Just that... Stare.
And with that, the driver fell silent and returned to his driving. Probably thought that the boy was odd, or maybe he assumed he was now challenged because of the recent loss. Probably all of the above, too.
A gentle roll of the eyes was all he gave now, as he turned back towards the window. Blonde strands of hair slipping over one of his eyes in the process.
How boring.
The expensive black car turned into a long driveway, slipping past a large gate or two in the process. Security guards and surveillance systems. The works.
His half-masted hues slid open further, watching his surroundings carefully. Just who was this guy? He hadnt heard much of him from his father, as he didnt usually talk about his friends much. But apparantly he was both wealthy and famous. To think that he was coming under his care. What an odd turn of events.
"We're here Young Master." the driver/butler stated, smiling to himself, more than to the boy sitting behind him. He turned off the ignition and stepped out of the car, moving to help the boy out but it seemed he had already gotten out himself, which was a sight not common. To the butler, at least.
"A-Ah, Miss Brooklynn should be up and about around now. Why dont we go and say hello?" he had to break himself from a mild stare. This boy truly didnt seem to be part of this entire... Place. As though he werent meant to be here.
The blonde turned slightly, nodding to him semi-politely. It was more of a 'I'm-not-going-to-bother-answering-because-you-wouldnt-want-to-hear-it.', as his eyes werent as polite.
He pulled the hood from over his head and let it settle against his back, revealing the entire head of healthy blonde hair he held. Hazel-brown orbs dancing about the large house before him in an inspecting manner. Too big.
His attention turned from the large building before him, as he made his way to the boot of the car he arrived in. Popping it open casually, he grabbed ahold of the handle of his suitcase, only to have it snatched from his grasp.
"Let me handle it, Young Master." A little more emphasis on the first word, as he pulled the case from the blonde's grip. A light frown played at the corner of his lips, but soon faded as quickly as it had come. He pocketted is hands into either side of his faded jeans, sighing in light discontent as he made his own way up the stairs to the door.
The butler, of course, darted by and opened the door for him. He was quite agile for his older age, it seemed. An inquisitive brow cocked toward the man before being accompanied by a silent sigh. He wanted to tell him to stop, but it was probably his job to do so.
He stepped into the house, glancing about with a small sense of inferiority.
"I present you, Master Iyan Joseph Aldridge." The butler announced loudly, bowing slightly towards the main staircase in the room.
Iyan frowned heavilly, not enjoying his full name being presented in such a manner. He had to give that darn butler a good glance over. He really was a pain.
But, as he thought this, a sudden realisation came over his senses as he noticed another presence in the room.
He turned slowly, peering through a few of his blonde strands of hair to find a woman standing before him. He blunk rapidly, not having expected someone to look so... Mesmorising. He turned his eyes away, lightly irritated.
[Hope that's alright for you.]
