"Brilliant!" Azure said to Kunia, her tail wagging a mile a minute as she licked his face in a puppy like manner before taking the sword in her jaws. She bowed her head and approached Cain in a respectful manner. Lowering onto her belly, she crawled forward and set the sword at her paws and backed away, head bowed. In a tone of respect, she said, "To the alpha of my pack, I offer the sword of the fang. It bares magic that I know little of, though it is my birthright. It is the only thing I had from my home pack. I offer it to you now. May you use it in leading your pack to rebirth."

Cain watched the wolverines flee with blurry vision but he didn't let the others realize that he was as hurt as he was. He stayed where he was standing over the body of the wolverine he had killed, blood flecking his muzzle and his ruby eyes hard. Azure padded over to him and licked his cheek, a warm feeling spread through him and he knew that if he had been in his human form he would have blushed. He watched her trot away and nuzzle the twins who yipped and nuzzled her back, for once Orro was as pup like as his brother and they chased each others tails in celebration. When Azure looked back to him he nodded his head "good...job" he said, pain spiked through his side and he looked over at the damage but his fur hid it quiet well. Meanwhile Kunai ran off before returning in his human form with a sword in his hand, it was astounding that Kunai was so handsome in that form and the grin he gave Azure only made him more so "I found it just like you asked" he said.


Kunai and Orro

Azure leap up and began tearing through their ranks again, but as soon as their leader was down, they were out, running away like the cowards they were. If the most powerful of them could be killed then they had no hope. Despite the fact that they were fleeing, she chased them, killing those that she could catch, until her leash tightened and then on light paws she trotted back and licked Cain's cheek, as she cheered, "Yay! We killed them! Ahhaha! That was such fun. Orro! Kunia! You fought like gold!" She nuzzled the twins and licked their ears, dancing from paw to paw, looking back towards Cain and the body of the lead wolverine.

Azure watched him run away and smiled softly. He was right to trust her. She wasn't going to ever hurt this pack again. It would be a gift to Cain, maybe. Unlike the other's her approach wasn't cautious. The wolverines were easily angered and stupid when angered and she planned to use that. She growled and barked, standing in the main row, "Carrion eaters! Weaklings! Come out where I can see you! I'll tear you all apart alone! Weaklings!"

Suddenly a wolverine broke cover, driving at her from one of the buildings, and she leap out of it's way, onto it's back. She snapped at it's neck, getting her jaws around it and jerked her head to the side, tearing the flesh and dealing a fatal blow. Arrogantly she stood on the body and howled, "Is this the best you have? Do me a favor and run so that I don't have to follow your disgusting scents to you!"

Angered like she had expected, the all broke cover, driving for her and Azure fought in the center, killing fast, just the way that she had told Orro and Kunai to. She tried to keep her eyes out and jump in before any of the others got hurt. With a yelp, she was struck in the side by the lead wolverine and slammed against a wall.

"It does not!" Azure barked back, her tail smacking against him as he passed her. She looked at Kunai and ducked her head next to his. So quiet that only he could hear, she whispered, "I want o you to stay back from the fighting. Not because I don't think you can handle it, but because I need to you look for something for me, okay?"

Her head snapped up and a snarl rippled through her as they got near the village. Part of her, the part that had almost been broken...maybe had been and was broken, wanted to lower onto her belly and whine as they grew nearer, but the smell of carrion and wolverines gave her strength to keep running like normal. Once last time she ducked her head and whispered to Kunai, "It's a sword. I don't even have to describe it. It calls to wolf demons."

Fear suddenly prickled Azure's pelt and her eyes widened as her thoughts spun. Sure, she had expected Cain to come and watch over, but for him and the twins to come fight with her. No. She was a solo fighter. She'd be worrying about them the whole time. However, he was alpha and she couldn't speak out against him. The only way to make sure that nothing bad happened was to get there first and make sure that as many of the creatures as possible were fallen. Looked at Kunai and Orro, she told them, "Get on top of them if you can. Attack them from behind, leap up and snap their necks. You only need to kill a few before the rest run, okay?" Before she heard their answers, she leaped to her paws and ran as far from Cain as she could, ears perked as she waited for him to move.

Upon hearing them say that no one was to pick a fight alone, Azure stopped, making Kunai tumble at her paws. She nosed him to his feet and met Cain's crimson gaze with her own azure eyes and asked curiously, "Why can't we just go drive them away? Let the crows pick at the humans and keep the wolverines well away. I can take them on on my own if you'll let me. I had to learn to fight them in the village." Her tail is a blur and she looks eager to leap up and race off to fight with them, though she waits for Cain's blessing. Some part of her mind defended herself that she just missed the chance to fight regularly, but another part wanted to prove herself to Cain and get his approval.
