Melanie punched his arm, yawning. "I don't care. All I want is to finally be somewhere quiet and that is not my room." She stretched standing up. Looking into the darkness, an idea crossed her mind. "I'm going to go exploring in the woods. Wanna come?"

"Hmm...well good luck with that...my family isn't really too much into ditzy girls..." he told her. Then he looked around. "Why don't you get back to your dorm? Don't you think enough has happened to you?"

Melanie rolled her eyes. "I weas just wondering. Shesh." She giggled, hitting his arm. "Well, I guess I could go for him."

He looked at her when she got excited. "You, like my brother??? Um..." he didn't know what to tell her, he couldn't tell the truth. "No, he doesn't like anyone that I know of."

Melanie gave him a smile. A big one. "Oh My GOD!" She squealed. "I never though...I mean, you and her..." She didn't know what to say. "I'm happy for you," She said at last. Looking down, she remembered Aero. "Hey Evan?" She looked up at him. "Does your brother like anyone?"

Evan fell silent. "Elena." he told her. "She was quiet, nice, smart, and very artistic...but she was shunned from everyone." He looked at his hand placing the glove back on. "She's so nice..." he thought for a minute. then fell silent waiting for Melanie.

Melanie stared wide-eyed. She didn't really know the boy, but he told her alot. "Evan, you don't want that. I know guys who love or just like a girl and they turn away from her. Don't do that." She reached out to touch him, but stopped, dropping her hand. "Who's the lucky girl?" Melanie whispered, also dropping her gaze to the floor.

"Sweetie, I'm like that towards everyone. You see, being mean means, that no one will mess with me, I like everyone to stay away from me." he told her. Then pulled the glove off of one of his hands. "I can't have an relationship, I can't touch a human, or vampire, I suck the life out of them, if I'm mean, then good, that means no one will like me." He looked at her. "But, but that one human, there's just something about her, both me and my brother like her...damn...and she's so nice too, it's hard to be mean to her." he confided. "And, then what do I do to get over her...?" he asked.

Melanie looked at the ground, playing around with the grass. "When I was 12, I decided to be his friend. We were little and I said that I would marry him and be with him forever. Well, we started going out and when I broke up with him...He wasn't kind about it." She sighed staring at the sky now. "Why are you rude towards me?"

Evan's eyes were closed. He seemed like he was asleep. "What do ya want little girl?" he asked he didn't really want an answer he just wanted to be a jerk. He sat up bored and annoyed. "Why's that moron after you?" he asked Melanie. "That Darek, idiot...why?" he asked her. He looked at his hands and pulled off his gloves completely darkened he sighed. "He sure isn't different from anyone else." He muttered.

She grunted. "Jerk." Laying down, she couldn't help, but notice something stirring inside her. She soon fell fast asleep.
Melanie awoke to darkness. She glanced at the clock to notice it was only 3AM. "Wow. Haven't woken up like this since...forever." She shrugged into some shoes, still wearing a tank top and boy shorts. Waltzing out, Melanie walked to the forest, to get piece and quiet. Arriving, she saw Evan laying down. She sat beside him, stretching. "Hey," She yawned.

"What a dumbass bitch." Evan told himself he heard her talking to Darek then her "plan" back fired. He broke the door open. "Now..." he whispered he put one glove on and pulled Melanie away. Fighting off Darek totally draining his power away (temporally) he smiled. The ambulance came to get Darek. Evan knew if they saw him he would go back to jail again...so he took Melanie and left to the school. He took her back to the girl dorms. He put her down. "Look don't be angry but your weak so I only wanted to help." he told her he wanted to but he wanted to be a jerk at the same time. "I'm not like my little brother Aero, and if you remember him he's that boy that saved you from Darek on the building." he told her. Then left. He layed down in the forest waiting for school to start he didn't sleep...
