| -Its All Up Here, Everything-
Nine years, near a decade. All that time spent, created. All by her. No one elses. How would anyone feel, being created for one purpose. In any way he was a slave to her, if only because she created him. In the entire perspective though, he didn't view himself as a slave. He was there for her, for everything she did. The times when people made fun of her, hurt her. Anything, and everything. He watched out for her, while she slept. While she was awake, out and about. Like a guardian of some kind. Even that didn't seem like the title to him. He was her friend, her guardian, her everything really. He kept her comfort, when no one else would. All those people who just didn't understand.
Eight years old, rather young to be in a devastating crash. To witness death, and escape it. To see your own father mutilated by the crash, and die a week later. Any normal eight year old would be traumatized. Though she escaped death, she still got some heavy blows. He himself wasn't sure, if he had come to her or she had made him. It was a complex system, imaginary friends were. As soon as he popped up, right inside her. He knew why he was created, and why he would stay. The reason most imaginary friends disappear is because children get on with their lives. They find out they don't need their 'fake' friends, and just toss them out. Nine years, is a long time for him to exist. Especially since Ellen was in her teenage years. It's prior to those years that most, if not all, imaginary friends get tossed out. Yet, she held strong onto him. He was all to happy to oblige.
Another normal day, inside the head of a teenager. As normal as sleeping on a couch every night. Like every other day, problems. He knew what the phone call would be about, far before it even rang. It wasn't his place to tell her anything, after all he wasn't 'real'. He felt the dread, and made her feel it too. Then the call, the answer, the tears. What could he do, except comfort her slightly. Then it was off to school, like any other day. Greeting some familiar and true friends, classes, then back home. All repeated situations, where people would be thinking bad stuff about her. He stood by her door, watching her do her homework. Talked with her a bit, and then watched her sleep. Seeping back into her mind, attempting to fill her dreams with comforting stuff. Nothing bad, not the knowledge of her now ex-boyfriend. Nothing negative, she didn't need any of that anymore.
Disappeared, jsut like that. No questions asked, no heartfilled goodbye. Because it wasn't a goodbye, but rather a hello. He didn't know what happened either, he was just suddenly thrown from her mind. Completely gone, except not. Oh, the fear of waking up alive. Of not being just imaginary. It filled him quickly, when he felt the soft grass underneath him. In a large field, with nothing in sight. She wasn't there. Panic would've gripped him, had he not known why he was human now. Darren stood, a little clumsy. He got used to being human, and immediately headed for her house. Of course her party would already been going, and he'd be the late arrival. And the surprise gift. Darren ran a hand through his hair, fixed his shirt, and walked up to the door. Ringing it, and watching it slowly open. He didn't say anything, simply stood there. She was clearly confused, which put a small smirk on him. The touch, it made him shiver a bit. She had never been able to do that before. "Hello, Ellen." Darren said, looking at her. "Ask your 'friends', your not hallucinating." He said, smirking a little. _________________ |

| -Those VOICES in your head will only get worst until they finally come ALIVE-
He had always been inside her had. Reading her every thought, protecting her through her darker days. Calming her down and making herhappy again. He was the perfect friend, the perfect boyfriend, the perfect husband, the perfect imaginary friend. He as whatever she wanted him to be when she wanted him to be it. One minute he could be a cross dressing princess and the next a pirate. One thing always remained the same though, he was hers and he knew just the right thing to do to make her the happiest person ever. It had all started that horrid night when she was eight years old.
It had been take your children to work day and her father had taken her to work. It was raining and of course dark, but the weather was like that alot in this little town of Oregon. A drunk driver had cut them off and her father tried tried to stop, but it didn't make a difference. On the slippery ground he mind had well still been going the normal speed. Her father died in the hospital a week later. She had lived, making it out of the car crash with a fractured skull, broken bones in more places than she could count and a bad cut on her side, as well s being partially blind in one eye. It had been hell for her in the hospital, but she knew it had been worse for her father, but he faught death up until the last minute. As soon as Ellen had been permitted to leave the hospital, her mother informed her they were moving. They moved to another small town in Alabama where she stayed. She had no friends, no one spoke with her, and every child around her called her a 'freak'. That was expected she guessed though, she always walked with her head done never spoke and starred at some people. She took the teasing and harrasment everyday. Eventually though she created him or did he just come to her? Either way from that day he never left her.
Sixteen and he still wasn't gone. She didn't speak aloud to him anymore. Simply spoke to him inside her head. One might call her insane, but she didn' cae she had alwys ben different. Even if she had friends now and a boyfriend, she knew she was still the same girl back from 9 years ago. She jumped lighty when she heard her phone ring, quickly moving toward it she answered it easily. "Hello Ellen here" she said happily in a almost sing song manner. "Ellen its Ava...I hate to be the bringer of bad news wth your birthday tomorrow, but I just saw Jason and Catherine...together...making out" Ava said through the phone. Catherine had been Ellen's bestfriend...she should have known Catherine was only after Jason. The girl was trying to steal back the popularity she lost when they entered high school together. "Oh. Alright thanks for lettin me know" Ellen sad cheeirly as se had when she answered the phone. "I'll see you at school Ava" she said of course as soon as she hung up she could feel the tears stinging in her eyes. She took a calm breath though and went to school. Said a few words to her only true friend and avoided everyone else for the day. Eventually it was over and she made it home. Of course home wasn't much better, he watched t.v, did a bit of homework, played games and talked with her imaginary friend. Then after all was said and done wished him a good night and fell asleep on the couch.
Morning came soon enough and she awoke, jumping from the couch. "Good morning" she said happily in a quiet voice, but she didn't get an answer in return. She blinked a few times then tried again, no answer. She paniced, but not for long because soon enough her mother came in. "Finally your up. Hurry now your parties in about 3 hours!" her mother said and Ellen quickly convinced herself he would be back. He would never leave her...he couldn't leave her....he was all she had. Soon enough the guests started arriving and wouldn't you know Jason and Catherine came together. Last to arrive and currently trying to make a home run on her couch....the place she slept. She kind of wished her mother actually stayed for the party now instead of going to work. She of course only bit her lip for a moment and faked a smile. That pissed her off to no end, but still it was her party so she forced hersel to have a good time ad talk with Ava. The door rang once more and she had no clue who it was...everyone else was already hear, but she went to answer the door anyways. Opening it slowly answered it with a cheery hello...fake, but no one noticed so far. Of course the person she saw before her made her nearly faint. She quickly rubbed her eyes to make sure this was real and then lightly pessed a hand to his chest. He couldn't be real...could he? "Oh god Ellen you've moved to full on hallucinations....its time to see a phsych" she said slowly still starring at the man before her dumbfounded.
