Vandel just clapped and said, "Good job now do it again. You are to repeat this step until it becomes second nature to you as breathing does. And you aren't winded. The key to magic usage is also good mental stability. You need to flex your mind's mental power. Not only by reading but by concentration spells as well. That way it'll expand and magic using will become easier." It was then a servant appeared and handed Vandel a glass of iced lemonade and a small one to Crystal. He left and Vandel smiled saying, "Hop to it Keritzel."

Keritzel was excited. Though he was able to keep his concentration. He let out a breath befoer he set it down. Though it shook a bit, and he had to concentrate harder not to blow it up he made it land gently. He looked over at Vandel. He seemed a little winded.

"Oh very nice. A quick study I see. Now lets see if you can set it down without dropping it. If you do that properly you passed this little skill easily." Said Vandel.

Keritzel nodded. He hurried back to the table ready to try again. He sat down he was determined to do it right this time. 'calm down...' he told himself in his head. He concentrated on the vase. He focused as much as he could. "Ok, i'm ready." He concentrated hard, and the vase slowly began to to rise. After he had it in the air it didn't take much concentration to keep it there for the alotted amount of time at all.

"Actually its my fault. I failed to explain it all to you. First step is to clear your mind. Second step is to concentrate on the vase. Last step is when it levitates is to maintain that concentration so it don’t fall and shatter.” Said Vandel. Smiling he set Crystal down and stood up saying, “Try again and don’t falter please.”

Keritzel slowly poked his head above the table he looked at the small messed he'd made. He slowly turned toward Vandel. He would be understandably upset. But instead of being upset he looked calm. With a snap of his fingers all of the glass shards flew to the center of the table, and reformed the vase. Keritzel nodded at Vandel's suggestion. He made it to the bathroom. He let out a heavy sigh as he looked in the mirror. 'I didn't expect it to be this tough. I never thought reading could take so much out of a person.' He splashed his face with water a few times to wake himself up. 'hopefully it'll get easeir.' he thought to himself as he returned to the room. "I'm sorry, your higness." He said with a bow. "i don't know what happened.

Vandel actually flinched when a piece cut his left cheek. Blood trickled down his face as he sighed healing his own wound. Vandel snapped his fingers and the shards all shot back together to form the vase again. "Take five, go wash your face, use the bathroom, and clear your conscious boy. I'll be waiting here." Said Vandel with a smile. Crystal popped up and hopped onto Vandel's lap that moment. Vandel was glad she didn't get caught by the glass like he did.

Keritzel looked at the books. He think he memorized them all to the best of his abilities, and his brain felt fried. He didn't even notice Vandel had entered the room, until all of the books vanished in the blink of an eye. He quickly looked up wandering what had just happened. He turned to the side to see Vandel had entered the room. In another blink a vase sat in front of him. He looked back at Vandel with a look that asked what am i supposed to do with this.' Levitate it...' He wasn't sure he was even able to do something like that. He concentrated on the vase for barely a few second and it exploded Shards flying everywhere. Keritzel quickly ducked slowly raising his head above the table he looked to vandel with a nervous grin. "s-sorry."

It was then hours later Vandel returned and said, "Okay time to practice some magic Keritzel." Vandel clapped his hands twice and the books Keritzel read disappeared and a single white vase appeared in center of the table. "Lesson one basic magic theory levitation. Your objective today is to hold this vase up for forty five seconds by levitating it." Said Vandel with a smile.

Keritzel hadn't even known the young girl was around. He'd tried to block everything out. But he was drawn from his trance by Vandels voice. He watched as the little girl was carried out. 'Was Vandel serious about his daughter having done this?' He turned his attention back to the books. As he closed the last books. He felt as if his eye's were going to fall out. He felt like he'd done actual labor. "that was crazy." he began to try to memorize what he'd read. It took him a second and he began to remember some of the first book he read, but he was missing bits, and pieces so he opened each book again filling in the blank spots.

It was then Crystal popped up in front of his book he was reading saying, "Hi there!" "Crystalia leave him alone!" Said Vandel appearing and grabbing her gently. "If you want to play daddy will play with you. Now let him study," Said Vandel leaving with her.

Keritzel looked at the stack of books. His eye gently began to twitch again. He was about to say you can't be serious. But the man had no sign of joking on his face. Keritzel again looked ath the stack of books. He sighed, and nodded. He sat down, and opened the first book off of the pile. As Vandel walked off he felt as if fifty pounds had been lifted off of him. He found it hard to concentrate with vandel's eye's on him. He began to slowly read the first book. If he read it thoroughly maybe he'd only have to read it once. The book was so thick, but he finished the first one in an hour, and a half. He let out a bit of a moan as he crakced open the next one.
