She thought it over adding, "If some one is fucking with you... they wouldnt leave right away.... and besides that there are plenty of places to hide in here." Something glinted in her eyes like a camera lens flicking but her warm smile suggested something else. She busied herself keeping a look out in the hall but still seemed to nod her head as if listening to music. Haru gave him an odd look as he crawled out "You ok? you look like you've seen a ghost.... David are you sure your're ok because i didnt hear anything. I smell some rank shit like a rat died but i didnt hear anything...." she reached a hand up to his head like she was going to check his tempeture but reached behind his head and snaking her fingers into his hair, she held him like this for a moment and her eyes flicked again shifting colors fro black to dark red and back again. "Maybe we should go..."

David turned to Haru when she suggested that maybe someone was fucking with him. "You have a point." Quickly he pulled out his small P.D.A and ran through the shift times. "Well, no one is supposed to be working down here today besides me." He answered putting his personal computer. "We were at the stair case.. I don't think anyone could have gotten away in time. We would have seen something." He smirked lighly to Haru's story about doing something familiar to her dad. He just shook the thought on the matter away as they continued along in the dim corridor to the next terminal. 'Here we are." David knelt down, unhitching the service panel and crawling in under the terminal like before. He ran the flashlight over the fuel cells trying to find the one that was blown when suddenly there was a distinct whisper of a women's voice. "Over here..." David almost banged his head on the top of his work area as he looked around for the source. Nothing. Quickly he changed the fuel cell that was blown and crawled out. "Did you hear that?" He questioned.

Haru eyes turned back to normal and she had a strange look on her face looking down the hall. "Do you smell that? Its kinda faint but gross...." she waved her hand and dismissed it fallowing him farther down the hall "So the thing was pulled out? That is weird, you think some one is fucking with you to get you down here? I did that once when i was a kid, monkied with a light bulb to distract my Dad while my boyfriend at the time snuck out.... ha.... good times."

Dr. Grey heard Haru talking next to him, laughing at the smart one on the radio. David quickly clicked on his flashlight, shinning it down the stairs in front of him. He turned to Haru who was still in darkness when she asked if he needed help finding his way. "Naw, I've been down here countless times already. Could most likely navigate with my eyes closed." Despite that he could feel Haru's hand grabbing his bicept while he held his flashlight."No shinning the light on you. Got it." He confirmed to her as they reached the bottom of the staircase and moved down another corridor for a few steps before seeing a computer terminal. "Alright, lets see what we got." David said placing his flashlight on the ground infront of the terminal before dismantling a service panel to underneath. Inside was a hive of wires going every which way, despite this however David crawled right in bringing the flashlight with him. He started checking the dozen or so fuel cells before he came across an empty slot under the label 'Hallway' "Huh?" He sounded curiously looking around on the ground around him. Sure enough there it was just sitting there. "Who the hell pulled you out?" He questioned to himself picking it up to inspect it with his light. It was still good. Apon sliding it back into place all the flood lights suddenly flicker back on. Dr. Grey crawled back out of the underbelly of the terminal. "Weird." He muttered attaching the panel again. "Alright the next fuse box should be right down the hall a little further.

"Thank you. You would be surprized the bad reaction i get no matter how common it is." Haru walked with Dr. Grey with a half smile on her face climbing down the stairs. When the lights went out she laughed as the radio buzzed in telling them what they already knew. "Really?" she luaghed dryly stopping to wait for Dr. Grey, "Do you thnk you can make it with the flash light or do you need my help?" in the dark she reached for his arm to let him know she was there close "Just try not to shine it in my face, or you will blind me for a minute....Had that happen once in the field.... not fun." Haru's hand felt heavy on his arm not matching the smallish frame of the typical asian women around the site.

As the duo reached the underground maintenance area the elevator slowed down to a sudden stop and the automatic doors hissed open revealing a dim hallway corridor with a few flood lights here and there just to allow them to get a sense of direction but definatly not as brightly as the upper levels. As the two stepped out and started walking down the dark corridor David turned towards Haru while she started speaking. "Oh not at all, a bunch of the co-workers on site have enhancements." He turned to her, looking into her eyes and noticing there shiny metallic sparkle in the dim lighting. "That's cool, though I never pictured myself ever getting any enhancements. I try to keep as natural as possible." Suddenly when they reached the end of the hall the walkway turned, lowering into a stairwell that descended in a circular motion even further down. A seemingly bottomless pit in its center. As the two began to walk down the dimly lite staircase all the floor lights suddenly flickered out causing David to come to a complete stop in mid step. He pulled out his light and turned it on just as his built in radio buzzed. "Dr. Grey, there's another light failure in the underground." David just looked annoyed at his radio before replying. "Yeah, no shit.." He sputtered as he causously continued on, watching his step down the staircase.

Haru smiled taking the PDA and looking it over, and smirked when he asked if she wanted to spot him. "Surpizingly yes...."she looked over the flash light and simply hooked it to her belt and nodded to herlself asif listening to music on the way down. When the doors opened she didnt bring out her flash light, "Hey, Im sure you've seen everything and your not freaked out by anything but i still have to ask...Your not one of those people who are against inhancements?" she turned to him and in the dim light her could see her eyes had changed and looked like they had been over laid with a shiny metal. "Im one of the lucky few who can take it, so I made a few 'changes' over the years." she nodded and waited for his reply.

David looked at her with a straight face. "If by stupidest way possible you mean 'put his own plasma rifle in his mouth and blew the top of his own head clean off'' then you'd be correct." He sighed shaking his head lightly. "At least there wasn't even any brains to clean up, just the smell of plasma vapor to endure for a week in the cafe." As the two lined up to be scanned he listened to the women introduce herself. "Dr. David, Grey, but you can call me David." Soon enough it was both of their turns to enter inspection. David walked over the square and waited for the scanning to begin. The laser grid lowered over the two of them and another one went back to front. The ding on the computer let them know they were clear. "Alright, your cleared and free for entry." The guard said. David didn't answer Haru right away instead waiting for the two of them to move inside. "I'm just a technician. I replace the fuel cells and fusion rods when they blow, which seems to be happening more frequently lately. How much damn power do those eggheads need?" The last question was more to himself then to Haru. The inside of the facility was just as inviting as the outside. Thick steel walls, shatter proof windows displaying the arid martian surface and computers of all shapes and sizes in almost every room. Dr. Grey grabbed a small hand held computer off the receptions desk and handed it over to Haru. "Take this, its your Personal Data Assistant (P.D.A) you'll need it for keeping logs and entering secure areas. When your clearance to certain areas is upgraded, your P.D.A will download it directly. Don't loose it." Just then then another scientist entered to room. "Dr. Grey, area three is experiencing light failure." David sighed heavily. "Fucking hell, I hate going down to underground maintenance" The scientist crossed his arms. "Well we could always halt your pay for the day.." "Yeah yeah I'm going. Hey Haru.." David motioned his head for her to follow along with him. "You can spot me while I work." He began making his was to the service elevator, opening the locker right outside it and grabbing two flash lights, tossing one to Haru, and grabbing a fuel cell. He stepped into the elevator and waited for her to get in with him before the thick steel doors closed and they started to descend.

She smiled wide" Im assuming to cover some fuck ups ass, some dumb fuck who got himself offed in the stupidest way possible....." she turned away breifly to look over the sheeple and turned back to face him "Im Haruna Hanzo by the way, but every calls me Haru.", she didnt offer her hand only becuase she knew it would just take longer to scan him in if they say poeple touching each other, "Why are you here?"

David Grey looked up to the new arrival that replied to him. He just sighed lightly to himself rubbing his temple. "You have no Idea." He answered seriously. Just then one of the regular security members walked out from behind the automatic door of the inspection area and approached. "Dr. Grey, there are no shuttles available for a few weeks. Might as well come back inside." The security member spoke. "Right.." He'd answered not believing him. Shuttles were always 'delayed' when someone wanted off this rock. David just lined up with the others to under go inspection again so he could re enter the facility. "So, your new blood? Know why they sent you here?" David asked though he knew very well she was given the same old bullshit story that most were given. That she was just a replacement in the ranks.

Haruna found herself standing in line with the man who whispered a little to loud, she smirked happy to know she wasnt the only one who was feeling a bit like cattle. She laughed to herself and turned to him feeling a bit giddy now, "...Like sheep to the slaughter, huh?" She didnt usaully talk to "brains" mostly because they usaully saw her as just another dumb brute but she thought she'd take the chance and talk to this one.

As the crowd of new arrivals started to pour out from the underbelly of the spacecraft one of the security personal was standing near the walk way that lead to the lobby of the station. "Well come to Mars City, all new arrivals are to check in at reception." The guard said, pointing down the walk way to the automatic metal door. A scientist was sitting on a waiting bench outside of the entrance area, waiting for the next shuttle. "I've got to get out of here." He whispered lightly to himself, but not silently enough for those that were listing. The scientists all entered in the left door and all the security entered in the right side. The door hissed open as two people at a time entered and went through inspection. A bunch of men watched inspecting from behind thick glass. "Welcome to Mars marines, I'm going to need you to step on one red squares on the floor for a bio scan. This will only take a second. Ok lemme get this started.." The machine started up and a solid grid of lazers scanned up and down, back and forth. "Your going to have to hold still, moving around only makes the test take longer." The computer beeped clear. "Alright bio-scan complete your free for entry."
