"Me work along side with you?!?!...I mean, what is in it for me?" He had to remember that he wasn't in as high a position as he was before and Arashi didn't want to seem too desperate either. It was amazing though that this girl could see the jewel shards like that, he could exploit that ability to find them all faster, this was going to be too easy for him now. His father had thought that he had won in the end but now look at the progress Arashi was already making.

Arashi stepped forth and stared at the two jewel shards the girl posessed now, one in her hand and one around her neck. He wanted to reach out and steal them from her but he couldn't for then she wouldn't help him with the spell needed to restore his power. "Hikaru huh? Well how did you know where the jewel shard was Hikaru?" He crossed his arms over his chest and stared down at her, he was much taller than she was and he had to stare down to see her. Arashi was thinking of a plan on how to get this girl to give him the jewel shards as well as help him in the end, he couldn't use brute strength to force ehr, she looked too stubborn to be forced to do anything.

Hikaru looked up at Arashi and barely controlled the urge to shout his name and fling her arms around him. However badly she wanted to do this it didn't show on the outside as she kept herself calm as she looked up at the demon before her "my name is Hikaru Aizen" she said in her soft voice. She bowed her head to him "thank you for your save, if not for that I might have made a lunch for that filthy demon" she said and then looked up. She turned her head slightly and noticed the shard in the grass easily by its glow. Hikaru turned and walked over to the tree where her arrow stuck out like a flag, the shard was barely wedged between the arrow and the bark. Hikaru picked it from the wood and held it in her hand, it was clean but it still felt warm in her hand. She didn't even notice if the Arashi followed her but the shard in her hand was a deep black from the corruption in the demon and she closed her eyes before speaking a prayer softly. The shard glowed and was once again restored to its crystaline blue color and purified. Hikaru opened her eyes and looked down at the cursed shard, it had taken so much from her and yet here she was searching for it again. The key to her own destruction and the destruction of the one she loved so much. She sighed and clenched the shard in her hand before turning back to the demon and then two humans that she had saved. The man had finally came from around the wagon with his daughter and they were both bowing low to her and she walked over to them. "Lady Hikaru, bless you!" the man said "you have saved my daughters life and mine, for that we are thankful" he said with tears in his eyes. Hikaru smiled gently, she had missed taking care of all her people so much, "It is my duty my good sir, I just ask that you be more careful next time" she said. The man nodded before gathering his daughter and putting her in the cart and driving off. Hikaru looked back to Arashi her deep chocolate eyes curious as a wind stirred around them causing her dark locks to swirl behind her in the breeze.

Her deep chocolate eyes filled with tears as the last word of binding lay on her lips and her arrow sat poised and aimed in her hand and the man she loved. The wind stirred long ink black hair and ruffled the robes of the miko girl. The demon mans eyes were a solid ruby and she could see the jewel shards inside of him were a deep black as he watched her with blood dripping from his claws. He was a demon and she powerful miko, he had agreed to help her in her quest to gather the jewel shards so they could be united and protected once more. On their journey she had fallen in love with the demon who protected her and she had come to trust him. When they had gathered them all she had been overjoyed but that night when she was sleeping he had stolen the shards and put them in his body. They power had been too much and he had run rampant on the nearest village, her village. The last and final jewel shard hung from a chord and rested on her chest right above her heart and he stared at it with a malicious grin. Hikaru knew that there was no way to stop him besides sealing him for there was no love in this demons heart for her. A tear slid down her cheek as he rushed her and she calmly held her arrow on target, his heart. When he was close enough to her that she couldn’t miss she let her tears fall “I love you ______________.” The arrow flew true when she released it and thudded into his chest and knocked him back against the wall of the shrine. His eyes widened and the jewel shards slipped from his body to fall before him and unite into the whole jewel with only a piece missing. Hikaru came forward and picked the jewel up and closed her fist around it sadly before looking up at him, his mouth opened slightly “Hikaru I…” but he never finished as the spell took over. Hikaru closed her eyes and cried softly before turning away and opening her palm to look at the Jewel, it was an evil thing that never should have been created and contrary to belief she believed that it should never be united as a whole. Hikaru clenched her fist around it angrily before tossing it high in the air and swiftly pulling out an arrow and shooting it into the jewel so that it shattered into pieces again and flew in different directions, once again spreading out across Japan. When it was done Hikaru turned back to ___________ and gently put a hand on his cheek “I’ll never love anyone but you” she whispered softly.

It had been centuries since she had sealed her love away and Japan had went through many changes in front of her eyes yet Hikaru had remained the same. She had remained a Miko in her shrine that most kids came to visit for school trips now that there were no such things as demons. Hikaru sat in front of the altar in her traditional robes with her legs tucked beneath her and bowed her head in prayer with her beads wrapped in her hands and candles lit around her. The candles caused the jewel shard on her to glitter faintly in the low light, she had kept it to remind her of him. Even though he was gone she still prayed for him and for them to be reunited someday. Footsteps alerted her to someone’s approach and she turned her head to see a man walk in and her eyes widened in surprise “__________” she said and the man stepped forward. He looked exactly like her demon but he laughed “no ma’am you must have me confused with someone else” he said but a light smile graced his lips “but I could be him for someone so beautiful” he said. Hikaru looked saddened and shook her head “no, I promised to never love another” she said softly. The man sighed and put his hands in his pockets “well lucky guy, you’d better tell him that. It sounds like you really miss him so maybe you should go find him” he said before turning and leaving just a quickly as he came. Hikaru watched him go with surprise and her heart panged, the man couldn’t possibly know what he’d said and what it had meant to her. Hikaru stood and gracefully and left her shrine to go visit her well house, she walked inside the small dark building hesitantly. It smelled of dust and was filled with such and some cobwebs, Hikaru tapped down the stairs on her wooden sandals and laid her hand on the lid of the well. Today it was warm and she knew why, it was warm in the Feudal Era where this well came out. Many a time Hikaru had contemplated going back and changing how things had ended with her and ________, but she had always been afraid that things would turn out the same. She sighed and closed her deep chocolate eyes sadly and ran her hand across the lid, the lid creaked and slid off of the top of the well and Hikaru stepped back startled as dust raised into the air making her cough. She waved her hand in front of her face to clear the dust and bent over the well to look inside of it. Faintly she could hear the clashing of a sword and grunts of fighting before she heard a scream, it was that of a small girl and she nearly jumped in then but she waited long enough to grab her bow and arrows before taking a deep breath. She was going to try to change things as best she could. Hikaru threw herself over the lip of the well and clenched her eyes as she braced for impact, it seemed like forever that it took her to hit the bottom and she looked up to see blue sky. Good she had come out where she was supposed to, the miko pulled herself out of the well to set eyes on a lesser demon attacking a man and a girl. The man was fending it off with a sword but the demon had a jewel shard in its leg so the man wasn’t doing much damage, however when Hikaru stepped out of the well the demon pushed the man back getting ready to eat him but he sniffed deeply before turning. The demon slobbered a thick oily looking saliva that killed the grass beneath it and growled “you smell good…like a jewel shard” it hissed, Hikaru brought her hand up to gently touch the shard over her heart. The demon watched her hand move with a satisfied sound as it moved its bulk towards her “ahh, let me have it!” it screeched and slithered faster than Hikaru had assumed it could towards her and she barely jumped before it snapped its jaws closed on where she had been. The man and the girl scrambled up to hide behind their cart as the demon turned and rushed her again, this time it shot what appeared to be its arm made of good out to try and grab her. Hikaru knew she wouldn’t be fast enough to dodge it but suddenly she was grabbed from behind and pulled against someone chest before he leapt out of range of the demon. The demon hissed and Hikaru wasted no time in pulling and arrow from her back and knocking it to her bow. First she aimed at the jewel shard in the things leg and let the arrow fly, it easily tore the shard from the leg and took the leg off as well as her aura surrounded it with a light red glow. The demon howled in pain and thrashed “how did you see?” it screeched but Hikaru didn’t say a word as she knocked another arrow to her bow and aimed straight for the forehead of the demon and let the arrow fly. It screeched as it was hit and was obliterated on the spot. Hikaru sighed softly and turned to see who her savior was standing behind her, her eyes widened when she saw who it was. It’s you, she thought as she looked up at the handsome demon behind her with wide eyes.
