Olivia Le’Dumar down the cobble stone streets of Paris, her arm wrapped around an older gentlemen’s and her parasol opened loomed over her head blocking the light drizzle of rain that fell from the night sky. The edges of her ivory gown lightly dragged the dirty street covering it with mud. But she could careless. She just got word what she was to be married by the end of the week to a well renown Duke. Olivia was glowing, beside her self with joy. Though this man was older then her, she was thrilled that he would have taken her parents offer to take her as his bride. Her parents and her self were worried that she had missed her chance of ever getting married, two months she turned 17. The older man looked down at her, seeing she was in high spirits. He patted her hand that held his arm” Though your not my daughter Olivia, I feel as if I too am loosing one.” He gave her a faint smile. Olivia looked up at him and gave him a beaming smile that light up her face” Oh Richard, your not loosing me in the least” She held his arm tighter to comfort him seeing that he looked at her with sad eyes. “ Well Olivia, You are the last of the children to be wedded off. It does fill me with joy to see you happy like this.” He said to her causing her to laugh lightly resting her head on to his arm.” I am happy, I don’t think are enough word to explain just how jovial I am.”

They walked a little feather before either of them would speak again. “ Your parents will be back home in a few days, but they worry, A plague seems to be running rapid through our city.” He gave a deep sigh “ And your father since being at Lord Alexanderson’s has not been feeling well. But the doctors has assured him and your mother that its nothing all that serious. That this plague is only common in the beggars and other minorities.” Olivia nodded as she too began to worry. “ I’m sorry I should not have told you this. “ He said stopping, bringing her to a stop as well turning her to face him. He placed his hands on to her shoulders and gave her a smile” Please Olivia, this is a joyful time in your life. Don’t worry, all will be fine.” She smiled weakly at him still showing him some worry. Richard looked around before reaching in to his pocket pulling out a rosary handing it to her and closed her hand around it ” Why don’t you pray? Prey for your mother, your father, a safe journey for them home. Most of all, pray for your happiness. You deserve that much.” She said, she leaned up to him giving him a light kiss on his cheek. “ Thank you, Thank you for everything. You have always been a dear friend to our family.” He smiled touching her face where he kissed her” Now go before I wish to whisk you away and marry you for my self” He laughed showing that he was joking. He would never do such a thing. Olivia started to walk away, glancing over her shoulder “ I’ll be right where when your done, even if it takes all night” He said giving her a light wave. She never looked back at him, little did she know that this would be the last time she would see him… alive.

Olivia walked in to an old Catholic church. She knelt down in a pew holding her beads loosely in her fingers. Bowing her head as she began to pray in her head, but her lips moved as if she were praying out loud. She had no idea that the whole night as her and Richard walked a fiend stalked from the shadows. Even thought she was in the safety of a church, not even the power of God could have kept this monster from her, and the fate he had planed for her.
