| Memory gave a sigh as she just watched him walk off. She had no faith in the world about her. It was like she had become just some broken shell. She had no chance of the love from her father she had been seeking her entire life. She had been shunned and hated. That was all she knew and her being almost killed had just broken her. She stood as an empty shell as she walked through the camp. She didn't say anything didn't try and hurt anyone just walked about her eyes never really looking about. She went the entire day like that. Like a ghost in camp never speaking didn't touch the food. She didn't even try to leave camp when they left openings to see if she would. Just to give reason to try and kill her.

| Kaleb frowned light at her for thinking this was some laughing matter. "Who said anything, about fighting two armies? You fight along side my men, and they'll have your back. You will find that my men have a greater sense of honor and respect then some Imperial, no offense." He added at the end with a smirk. "I'll let you think about it." Kaleb said, walking away from her side and down towards the river and waterfall in the clearing. |

| Memory looked to him as she felt like laughing in his face. "Yeah and do what fight two armies" she said to him as she shook her head. "You really must be a fool" she said to him as she felt like she was staring at some idiot as she wouldn't be able to do that at all. She would have to fight both him and then her father to live. She couldn't do such a thing. It would be sucide to do such a thing.

| Kaleb listened to her as she told him her name, Memory. "Memory.. that's..." He started, his mind a little hazy. For some reason he thought about the dream he had, dying on some lost lost battlefield, the crying women. Suddenly he snapped back to reality. "...a nice name." He concluded giving her a warm smile, listening to her explain that if his men didn't kill her, her own would. "Then why not take up a sword, and fight for your right to live and love.." He wasn't quite sure why the second part came up. |

| Memory gave a sigh. "it doesn't matter if we are or not nothing will change" she said to him with a sigh as she just looked up to the sky. "Memory" she said. "I don't know why my mother wanted that name but she was the one that gave it to me" she said to him as she knew that things were different here than at her own camp. "if your men don't kill me my own will" she said to him as she knew that much.

| Kaleb listened to Memory explain her side of the story. Maybe she had a rougher childhood then he'd originally thought. "You know.. We are not so different, you and I. Perhaps however, you are looking for the wrong man's love." He said, giving her a more inviting glance. "Kaleb, my name is Kaleb." He introduced, since they never properly did. Kaleb's wavy golden hair swayed in the morning breeze. His green eyes shimmering under the suns rays. |

| Memory looked to him as she heard his questions. She listened and looked to the ground. She wasn't sure what to say. "I'm not like my father you know" she said almost as a whisper. "My father daily as a child would say a son would have been better." she stated to him. "My son wouldn't have killed my queen" she said as a tear came to her. "it was like I wasn't allowed to be who i was" she stated to him. "i was forced to learn to fight and learn wars" she said to him. "It was never enough. He sent me out with the army the moment I was old enough. I've not been home in six years" she said to him. "He sent me out the year I turned ten." she said to him as she looked up to the stars. "His never been one to love but I'm his blood" she said as she turned to look him in his eyes. "So I know he'll have me killed now that he has a new queen the moment that he is given a son." she said to him as it was the truth.

| Kaleb gave a glance over to Memory as they walked along. She was harder on herself then he was to her. "Why must you talk like that. You expect me to believe that you've grown tired of living? Like you've had it rough?" Kaleb questioned looking on ward into the forests. His eyes slowly started to sink in sorrow. "When I was a boy, can't remember how old anymore, I was abruptly awakened by my father shouting 'fire' in the middle of the night. We scrambled for the downstairs, smoke so thick I could hardly take breath. My mother hesitated, going back up to get grab my baby sister. My father and I hardly made it to the outside, before our torched home collapsed. Imperial soldier greeted us outside, claiming our villagers were traitors. My father told me to run.. and I never saw him again." Kaleb slowly regained himself. "Surely you must know the error of your fathers ways. We as a people can not allow his reign to continue this way." |

| Memory looked to him as she watched him come into the tent. She gave a sigh though as she walked up to him with a stare. "They can kill me for all I care I will never leave here alive" she said to him as she already had accepted that she would never grow old and take the throne. She was nothing like her father in truth she just wanted his love and seemed to really try and be like him so to get it.

| Kaleb walked up to his tent, pushing open the fabric door. "Your up. Well no need to stay in the tent all day. Come on out, get some fresh air. Stews boiling if your hungry." He said to her looking around to a few of the others that still didn't trust Memory. "They don't trust you. But since I do, they trust in my decision." He explained to Memory. "We're just waiting to hear back from our scout who is trying to arrange a meeting with your father and his men. Perhaps we could put an end to this blood shed and bring some peace back into the world." Kaleb said, just leading them on a small stroll throughout the camp. Nearby there were men practicing their sword skill, sparring with wood swords and bamboo. |

| Memory knew they wanted her dead and they could try it would do nothing to help in their cause as all it would do is turn the people and her father would spin it off as a reason to finally wipe them out. She knew that much yet she also knew that her father never cared for her. Not once did he show sign that he loved her no he pushed her away and she tried to be the best she could by doing things that he would want lik the army and fighting she learned like she would have if she had been male.

| Kaleb was up a good hour early talking with his scouts and linesmen. Word was that the imperials were falling back to the capital. They would plan out there next move carefully and swift. Kaleb knew he had little time to waist. Kaleb send one of his diplomats to try to establish a peaceful hearing. Perhaps to talk about a peace treaty and Memory's exchange. It was disturbing how he was approached by one of the men. The argument of retaliation for what the king has done. That by killing Memory, they could achieve some satisfaction. "You touch her, your a dead man!" Kaleb threatened. His fellow soldier was hesitant but still grabbed his weapon. Kaleb however didn't. "Take your sword Kaleb, I will kill you where you stand." His guard responded. Kaleb lowed into a low defensive stance, both hands grabbing hold the hilts of his katana and short sword. Kaleb pulled out his katana bringing it high near his face, before holding it low and behind his back. The stand off was epic to anyone who was watching around camp. He concentrated on his training, to know the opponents next move before he himself knows it. Suddenly he was charge and the soldier brought his sword down in a powerful clop motion. At the same time Kaleb jumped back, his katana slicing upward with one hand. The two samurai jumped apart getting some room. No hits seemed to have been taken. But slowly the stance of his opponent withered and collapsing to the ground. Slowly Kaleb holstered his sword. He knew he wouldn't have any more debates with his men. |
