Lei doubled up her fist as the strange man made Enzo an offer to purchase her. "I am not a...." She said but was interupted by Enzo striking the man. "Oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no....". She said over and over again. "Enzo I think we should leave now.". Enzo's actions had drawn in a crowd. There was no doubt in Lei's mind that everyone knew who Enzo was and who he worked for. By now people knew who Lei was as well. "Come on Enzo.". She whispered to him. "We need to go.". Lei felt a little awkward telling a man what to do. In this world a woman's job was to stay home, cook, clean, take care of the children, and most of all keep their mouth shut. Lei very gently tugged on Enzo's hand and bedan to lead him away from the crowd.

After a couple minutes Lei looked up at him and smiled, "thank you....no one has ever stuck up for me like that before.". Lei felt really bad about the whole thing. "You should not have hit him. You could get in to a lot of trouble with your boss. I am not worth it." Lei was being honest with him. "How is your hand?". She asked him. Lei pulled him in to a secluded area and examined his hand. "That man was kidding himself when he offered you 200 for me! I am worth way more than that!! A jerk like that could never afford a night with me...." She said in a joking tone to try to lighten the mood. She kissed his hand and said, "there you go....all better." Lei released his hand and smiled. "Shall we continue or have you had enough fun today?"

Enzo smirked then he said to her, "I get what you mean Lei. And trust me, I know how you feel. I'm a little confused myself on what to do." He said to her, "I was told that anyone that was on your boss's side were all enemies and the only thing to do with you is kill on sight, but now I don't think that I should anymore." He said to her keeping her close so that she wouldn't attract wandering eyes, "But I don't want to say too much or I'll end up screwing something up." He said to her.

One man walked up to Enzo then he handed him a pouch, "I'll give ya 200 ryo for the broad." He offered though after he finished talking Enzo punched him clean in the face knocking him flat on his back and creating a shock in the crowd, "She is not a broad you bastard." Enzo spoke then continued his walk with her.

After he mentioned the perverts she got a little closer to him. "Is it really that bad here?" Comparing her hometown to his hometown was like comparing black and white. Where she was from men did not bother the geishas. If any man was caught harassing a geisha was either banished from the city or they were killed. True geishas were high class prostitutes but they were the backbone of the economy. "Once a geisha always a geisha.". Lei said quietly to herself. When she was a child her mother would always tell her that.

Words really could not describe the sudden feeling of shock she was feeling. "Oh....ummmmm..." She nervously rubbed the back of her neck. He had completely caught her off guard. If she wasn't as shy as she was she probably said some poetic or intelligent to him. It was hard to imagine that a cold blooded killer like herself was shy. "You are not a total asshole......". She started out. She sighed then shook her head. "I am sorry....that came out all wrong...". She looked up at him with her pale green eyes and said, "I am not good with this kind of stuff. I always end up saying the wrong thing....". Very carefully and very gently she reached out and tucked a piece of his hair behind his ear. "I was wrong about you. When I first met you I hated you....I wanted to kill you....I could not wait to run away....". She looked down at the ground and said, "But now I feel confused. I do not know what to do or how to feel."

Lei closed her eyes. She felt embarassed. "I am curious...I want to know more about you. I want to get to know you as a person and not an enemy." She hoped that her random rants made sense to him. "And what about you?"

Enzo looked back at her then he nodded to her, "Alright then. We can take a look around. Just stick close to me or you'll end up grabbed and taken to another location and most likely be raped. The local men have no morals here and will do anything to satisfy their perverted tastes." He said to her then he started walking off towards more of the cleaner sections of the city.

After a moment he looked back at her and then he said to her, "Lei, I only want to know. What do you feel about me now that you know what I really am?" He asked her curious on what she felt about him.

Lei could not help but laugh. "Why are you always so serious?". She asked him. Lei straightened out the black kimono and put on her new jewelry. "I know....I need to get use to the people here and their customs." Lei pulled out the little doll and carefully examined it. "She is beautiful. I have a doll like this at home....". Lei let out a light sigh then put the doll away. Little things like the doll made her home sick. Even thought she had only been gone for a week it felt like an eternity.

"I think for the time being I will remain in the house.". What she meant to say was she was not ready too venture out any further in to the city. The people here seemed odd. She was use to things being simple. "Since this place is now my home why don't you show me around...". She suggested to him.

Enzo looked over at Lei and then he sighed, "There was a perverted old man peeping at you so I scared him off. I have more self respect than peeping in the woman's bath house." He said to her then he placed his back up against the wall and crossed his arms, "If you don't feel comfortable talking to the women then we can leave." He said to her wanting to be sure that she was relaxing since he knew that as long as she was going to be in the residence then she'd continue to be pressured to doing as a geisha has to.

"Visiting? People do not simply come to this town to visit! Wait...I know who you are....I heard that the boss gave master enzo a whore...". The woman said to Lei. "No wonder the boss did not want you! Why would he choose someone like you when he has a lady like me?" Lei looked up at the woman with her pale green eyes and said, "I am trying to enjoy my free time. Would you mind going else where to bitch???" Lei had to pretend that she did not like Enzo, she did not want to get him in to trouble. The woman was about to start talking again but was interupted by the sound of a man screaming.

Lei took her chance and quickly left the bath house. "I really hope that scream did not come from Enzo! If something has happened to him I will never be able to forgive myself!" Lei quickly got dressed as she walked to the exit. Lei spotted Enzo near the womens side of the bath house standing in front of a hole. ".....what are you doing???". She asked him.

When they started back off going to the bath houses, "No I'm not taking you to an important client. I just know that if I told him the truth I'd end up having a mob trying to go after you and then we'd have a bad mob after us." He said to her tucking his hands into his pockets, "It was nothing. I have all sorts of gold to use, but nothing to use it on."

Enzo stared at her for a second then he blushed letting out a small cough, "I'll be waiting out here. I have no business going in there anyway." He said to her crossing his arms while he leaned up against the wall.

After a moment he went to the women's side out of the bath house then he spotted a man peeping through a hole he carved out, "Get out of here you pervert!" He shouted taking out the blade behind his back with a grating sound coming off the steel sheath and the blade, "Unless you want to have your head chopped off." After his threat there was a loud scream as the older man ran like a lunatic before Enzo returned the blade to his sheath.

Lei really did not want anything other than the doll. But since he had already paid there was no need to waste his money. "Alright. Thank you.". She said to enzo. He had given the shop keeper a couple more items. It took her a couple minutes to decide. " Hmmmmmmm...I think I will piiiiiiick..." Lei wanted to pick something that would match the kimono she was borrowing from Enzo. The only thing that came close to matching was a pair of earings and a necklace. She picked up the jewelry then bowed her head to the shop keeper.

Lei then followed closely behind Enzo. "So you are delivering me to a high class client?" She laughed lightly then looked up at him. "Thank you...for everything.".

As they approached the bath house she smiled. "Are you going to be joining me?" Lei asked him. Of course he would have to stay on the mans side unless they went to the couples side. "I shall see you when I am done.". Lei then went inside

The inside of the bath house was a lot larger than Lei expected. It was also crowded. As Lei walked around she avoided making eye contact with anyone. The women around her could already tell that Lei was new to the area. "So where are you from sweetie?". A random woman asked Lei. Lei sat down in the water and avoided talking to anyone. "Hey! I asked you a question!". Lei looked up at the woman, "I am from kobe (sp?)." Lei began to lather up. "Kobe? Isn't that area run by a mob family?" The woman asked. Lei nodded her head and continued to clean herself. It seemed like everyone in the town knew about the yakuza feud between the two different families. "So.....why are you here then?" The woman asked. "I am here......toooooo...." It seemed like no matter what Lei did trouble always followed her. "I am visiting.". Lei said as she continued to wash up.

Enzo followed after her then he grabbed the hand of a male that was about to grab onto Lei's shoulder then he scowled, "Look you. I don't know who you think you are, but I'm transporting this geisha to a high class man in this city. You lay a finger on her and I'll cut your head off." He said then watched as the man rushed off in fear making a large group run off leaving the pair alone, "You can't go around by yourself around here. believe it or not, this place is crawling with perverts that'll grab whoever walks near them." He said to her then he patted her shoulder.

He looked at the shop keeper then he said to him, "Hey, shop keep. we have something we'd like to get." He said to him then he pointed to the doll that Lei was holding.

The shop keeper looked at the doll then he said to Enzo, "Ah, buying the pretty geisha a doll. That piece will be a total of 60 ryo take it or leave it."

Enzo grabbed a pouch from his pocket then he tossed it at the shop keeper, "Keep it. I have no use for it." He said then the keeper dumped the contents onto the stand and then he quivered seeing the gold that was on the wood.

After seeing the contents the shop keeper nodded, "It's all yours. You can have anything else you want too. The jewels, the artifacts. Anything, if your friendly lady will want anything else."

The war seemed like it was a sensetive subject to talk about. "Perhaps I spoke to soon." She said to him. That was her way of apologizing to him. She did not know him well enough to officially say that she was sorry for anything. After all she did not want to appear in front of a fellow assasign. (I am going to assume that they are traveling through some type of town) Enzo seemed like a man of his word, as well as honorable. Because of that she trusted that he would not spy on her. Just to lighten the mood she quietly said, "If I catch you looking at me you will have to buy me a new kimono. And it cannot be just ANY kimono I want it to be customized!!" AAAAAAAND there will be no price limit! By the time I am done both you and your master will be broke!" She gave him a slight grin and walked slightly ahead of him for a while. It took a moment for it to kick in but she soon realized she did not know where she was going. "Ummmmm....." She stopped in the middle of a busy business area and looked around. "........." She could tell that people were looking at her even though they were all trying their best to not be obvious.

She caught a glimpse of Enzo out of the corner of her eyes and quickly walked over to him. "Why is it so busy here?" She was like a country girl in a big city. Where she was from things were a little slower, and more relaxed. "Why is everyone in such a hurry?" She almost got lost again because her attention was more what was going on around her then it was on Enzo.

They passed by an area where there were a variety of different items being sold. Something caught her attention and she suddenly left Enzo's side. whether he chose to follow her or not was his choice. She was not trying to run away, she was just a little distracted. The market in this town compared to the one where she was from was like comparing a diamond to a lump of coal (aka there is a huge difference lol). As she approached the man in charge of the stand ignored her. Out of all the pretty things she picked up a little doll with eyes just as green as hers. She smiled then set it down. The doll reminded her of one she had as a child.
