Xavier stood at the doors looking out and waiting for Saralee. He hadn't seen her in a few days and he was beginning to worry. His father had seen him standing and with a smirk of accomplishment he walked over and looked out. "This is what happens when you befriend nothing more than a servant scum. They will leave you and soon want you dead." Xavier shook his head and sighed "She is different though." "Thats what they all claim son, but in the end they are nothing more than the same as the last."
Xavier lowered his head and turned back inside. Feeling defeated by his father now by knowing his friend would not just leave him like that. It wouldn't take long before he realized his own father was the one hurting people. A deep sadness filling his heart as he found out about what Saralee had gone through just to be friends with him.
Time went by and he grew up and soon he would be taking over the thrown. His father becoming sick and unable to do much, Xavier used this time as a way to present himself to the people and prove he would change what had been happening to those who questioned his father. Xavier refused to be like that and swore he would rather die than to fall into the same path as his father.
-That Night-
Xavier walked the halls after what he thought to be a good day. Less yelling and more small tummies had been fed. The children he would soon rule over were growing stronger and would soon be ready to learn the same things Xavier himself had learned from reading. He used passageways to make his way anywhere still paranoid from his fathers words. As he came out one he almost ran right into some lady theif. Now his father would have called for the guards right away and had her hands removed from her body and then the guards she had past would be put to death. Xavier though looked at her for a moment as his expression went from that of power to that of an equal to her. "Saralee..."
