When Valentine returned to the soul world with Death and such he would notice Kane and Saiyori right next to each other. It was odd of course, then something sharp was against his neck and his body became heavy. Death was there. . . It had been a fake the whole time? Or an illusion of some sort? He looked at him and said, "Sheesh I wonder how much energy you wasted? Did that illusion please you at least?" Something hit Valentine's back and merged into his clothing only to seep and sow itself into his back. It would be runic writing, that Death had clearly making during the illusion. It would seal off most of Valentine's powers even in his own world. Death tapped Valentine a few times with the blade as it would not cut unless told, only to keep doubling the weight of Valentine too. Death would then take away the scythe and walked over to Kane and Saiyori. He would look back at Valentine now and say to him, "I shall take my leave now, you may keep your foolish girl you use for your breeding, but I am taking these two. I will tell you something though, in ten days this boy will come back and defeat you. I am too old and don't need such a death on my mind." He touched the two as his scythe latched on his back. The two would disappear.

When Saiyori woke up she be in a new bed with Kane. It would look like a very expensive hotel room too. Kane would have his arms around her as it was a sleeping habit whenever he was that close to her. Death was no where to be seen as instead a note would be found on Kane's forehead saying, "You have three days to relax in private, after that your going to die from training or become powerful enough to help your other friend.. . . -Death"

Seeing the flames vanish, meant he didn't have to resist using his soul based attacks. Valentine would wave his hand and as he did Death's head would be cut off. "Kage, don't miss a drop." He says. The beast in front of Death's body would grab the scythe and eat it. Anything that touched Kage's body wouldn't be able to fight back or even do anything, but be eaten. Once the scythe was in his body Kage would return to Valentine and digest his meal. Valentine would walk over to Death and hold his hand out over the body. The blood would flow into his hand and Valentine would take the dead Death back to the soul world. Since, he killed the soul there wasn't any hope of revival. That's how it worked for them. They couldn't die unless it was bye someone of the same kind. Regular souls didn't fall in that level so they were pretty much safe in their world now.

Valentine smirked. He still treated him like a boy. In that case it was about time to show he wasn't just a new born. He had lived long and learned much, now it seemed right to show the male exactly how strong he was and why he was leader when the others were older and probably had more battles on their hands. "Matter not in the world of energy, but be reborn in the realm of flesh." He says as the two are moved to the human world. It was their his beast and sword took their deadliest form. The beast turned into flesh and blood. His blade turned into a clothes of the time and he smirked. Adaption was his power. This allowed him to one alter the area around him, two change in a flash, three blend, if he knew anything it was that these were the best camouflage in both worlds. His hands would be covered in fresh blood from any mortal that passed. The flames would also eat away at the energy from this world. The blood he got was just what he needed. His beast would wrap its arms around his neck and Valentine would look at death. His gaze would pierce through most cores, but Death would probably be fine. "This is how you play to win." He says. With a small bite to his throat his beast would gain a sword. Looking at Death the sword would slice through the barrier with a strong energy. SInce it wasn't sprit based the flames did nothing to his attack. In one attack the shield would shatter and the blade would be at Death's throat. The blade would cut in many places. Everywhere it touched would seem to swell and burst. The blade would seem to get stronger with every cut and Valentine would pulse with a new type of energy.

Feeling the energy and heavy Valentine groaned. If that stupid old fool could see him then there was no need for him to use that much energy. "Release." He says letting his cloak go. He would glare at Death before casting his own spell. "Release!" He calls releasing the heavy spell on him. Seeing how much trouble Death seemed to be having he decided to make everyone blind. "Black and cold, blind and unforgiving, come shroud my domain in your dark cloak." He calls. The room would grow dark and everything would seem silent and the movements, energy, and everything would be covered. Even the scythe wouldn't be able to see through it. Valentine would use his sword like a snake and it would strike in the dark only finding the target like a heat seeking missile.

Valentine knew when the strikes hit and new this battle was close. His limbs were restrained, but Death was getting careless in his old age. He closed his eyes for a bit and concentrated. Feeling the type of energy that made up the wall he smirked a bit. His power was something like a mirror. His voice would change anything on command if he knew the right words. Elements were the easiest, but things like people's hearts were like breathing. Using his memory like a glass he saw images and learned the words he needed. He mumbled a the few words that Raiken or War had around him when Kane wasn't looking. No one could see these words, but him, but they were like spells or instructions on how to rule. Opening his eyes the ice would shatter from his binds. All he had left were the walls. WIth a snap of his fingers a portal would take him to the outside and Valentine would be sitting on an invisible winged half dragon-part snake-part something else. HIs creature would hover in the sky giving off no energy. Valentine cast a small spell on himself that covered his energy. His beast would send off pulses from random areas and screw up Death's ability to find where things were really coming from. "Shake." He writes in their language, thus causing the ice, ground, walls, and energy to violently shake.

Seeing the ice Valentine switched plans. The scythe wouldn't be able to block anything from around Death, so he took it into his advantage. He swung his blade again this time aiming for multiple attacks. His blade would glow a strange color that resembled his own aurora. Instantly his cuts would become much more painful and seem to come out of thin air with out any warning at all. The cuts would be full of fast acting poison as well as condensed fire so that they could burn from the inside out. The person would suffer, before bursting into thousands of blue flames. He worked fast taking only about a second for three cuts. If Death could dodge all thirty random cuts, he would then be the one who would have to defend.

Seeing as balls and rays didn't work, he would try something else. At all cost he didn't want to be near the scythe. Valentine brought the sword to his face so the width was showing. "Flames that consume the earth in heat. Burn with the intensity of the sun and the force of my rage!" He yells turning the blade to its side. The snake would move and its eyes would glow red with the element he invoked. A few quick cuts here and there would be like cutting Death with a very ridged, dull, burning blade. Of course it would cut since the blade was sharp. His cuts were different form the cuts he used on Kane, these were aimed, deep, and meant to hurt, to burn the soul's flesh, and to make him feel the pain of dying like mortals do.
