| { Leave me, but when you leave know nothing's lost }
Thunder cracked and lightning streaked through the sky beyond the panes of glass in the corridor. Haylie shied away from the walls closest to the outdoors, goosebumps raising on her arms. A shiver went through her as she clutched the keyblade close by her side. She wasn't cut out for the job she was trying to fulfill. In fact, Haylie wasn't quite sure what that job exactly was, and now she was lost in a castle. A cold, dark castle. And she wasn't dressed for this occasion. Jeans, sneakers, and zip-up hoodie were hardly fit for a keyblade master, by the sound of it. Her clothes were comfortable, but not all that warm. And jeans weren't the best for flexible movements.
She stopped with a sigh at the end of the hallway. A single wooden door with a heavy handle. Haylie tucked her weapon under her arm for a moment to grasp the handle with both hands, yanking the door open with a loud creak and all of her weight. As soon as it was far enough open that she could slide her body through, she did. Thankfully, she was pretty slender so it didn't take too long. She didn't bother closing the door. It'd take too much extra strength that she didn't have at the moment, and Haylie would probably be out in a minute or so regardless.
Haylie had entered a large library, fireplace blazing. The fire's warmth was spread evenly throughout the room, and she smiled, feeling more at ease. But then a thought occurred to her; what if someone was in the room? Why else would the fireplace be lit? They were probably reading a book or something. She pressed her back against a book shelf, grabbing the keyblade handle with both palms tightly as she looked around the corner. Indeed, there was a person. But they weren't reading. In fact, they were staring at an object encased in glass. A flower. A rose.
The person couldn't be explained as human. Without looking at his face, she couldn't quite tell what he was. Perhaps part wolf? He was covered in fur and stood hunched forward. But as Haylie took a step back towards the door, he called out to her.
"Who is it that has entered my home? Answer me!" His voice boomed, an obvious annoyed tone. Haylie froze in her spot, unable to move with fright. He could turn around, take the few steps across the room and snap her neck like a twig if he so pleased. He certainly looked strong enough. Or stronger.
No use running like a fool.

Aidyn flicked two fingers up and the dark figure halted. "Do you understand the purpose of this test? Apparently not. Then let me explain. We are testing your heart. Your heart's strength. If you're determined enough, powerful enough, you can and will conjure your keyblade. We don't just give one to you," Aidyn snickered. " It's yours to discover. We just...speed up the process. Unless you don't have the guts? Then I guess you'll be slaughtered. Hope you survive, Viscus. I wouldn't mind having you around..." He shrugged and flicked his fingers, stepping back into a purple vortex. It wasn't his battle. He wouldn't leave, no, not yet. He would stand, shrouded in the dark, watch as his new little partner battle it out. Maybe he would do it, maybe he would fail. If he failed, the Heartless would steal his heart, and his physical body would disappear. 'What a shame that'd be,' Aidyn thought, no spite in his mind. Viscus would be cool to have around. Add to the strange group they already had collected. Aidyn had been the first to convert, and had helped Shinra bring in the rest. But Viscus....was different than the others. Aidyn sensed something in him. Maybe it was potential.
Only time would tell.
[Sorry it took so long to reply D: I was sick. Also, are the other characters important enough to divide up? Or should they just kind of be there?]_________________ Recent Movies: Up ; What Happens In Vegas ; The Road To El Dorado ; The Haunting In Connecticut ; Donnie Darko (yes, again xD) |

| There are many worlds, but they share the same sky-
Violent gusts of winds blew the window shutters to slam against the castle's walls, a pang of fright made the blood rush through the girl's body upon lurching upright on the floor with a gasp. Her vision cleared to where she was able to make out the suroundings. Eli brought up the back of her hand to rub her eyes, the other one extended outwards to summon Lantern Leak once more. "Don't tell me I'm in...." Eli paused, rising to her feet to step her way over to one of the windows that decorated the corridor she was in. Taking a look outside, she was possibly at one of the top levels of the castle which gave her a nasueating feeling when she looked at the height she was at. Drawing herself away from the window, she pressed her back against the farthest wall. "Damn....Beast's Castle.....this is so not good." She bit her lower lip in habit of being nervous. Lifting her keyblade up, she spoke. "Come on give me some light." Eli shook it a few times in the air before the blade finally sent a vibrant glow along the hallway. Cautiously stepping forward into the eerie castle, Eli turned yet another corner at the end of the coridor only to lead her into an even larger part of the castle. At the far end the girl caught sight a fain flame, and whispers. "Lumière!" The blonde called out to the small candelabra. Picking up her pace, Eli almost tripped when her footing caught on the carpet that lined the center of the area she walked on. Stumbling forward she found herself soon colliding with the ground. "Eli is back mama." Chip said, toddling on over to stand a few inches from Eli. The small teacup gave her a childish smile. "It appears she is." Mrs. Potts said, teatering on over to stand next to the smaller teacup. Picking herself up, Eli smiled warmly. "Glad to see you too." She said, her eyes straying over to the candelabra that approached as well. "Ma chère mademoiselle. It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight." Lumière greeted. Only one figure remained, and she was sure he would be the one to toss her out of here first. Then soon enough the small clock waltz on forward to gaze up at the girl, "You've come back?!" Cogsworth said, recalling the last time she had stepped in for a visit. "I swear I'll be gone before... he finds out. Just need to find my friend." Eli explained, moving forward once more as she bid farewell to them. Please don't let Haylie run into beast.... she thought, pushing past two large double doors that led into the main lobby of the castle. ----- The cold air brushed against his skin as he came into contact with the atmosphere of this new world. It appeared to always be this way, cold dark, and eerie. Viscus only took moments to realize that within every corner, within every shadow loomed those creatures from before. His eyes rose to the many skyscrapers that lined the very structure of this world, each one taller than the last. Casting his attention back at Aidyn and Shinra, Viscus held a look up curiousity upon his features as he watched Aidyn summon his own blade. He eyed the blade held by Aidyn, and wondered if he'd be able to bring forth his own soon. "Unlock people's hearts?...." Viscus wondered how exactly that was possible, and if he would be allowed to use it on anyone. "So how many more of us are there?" He questioned soon enough, glancing over at Shinra. The man extended an arm out in the direction of the large white castle further within the city. "The wielders i've come to....recruit are more known now as the Order Infinity. Within your knew home you'll find: Zane, Nate, Jinx, Sai, Vira, Yuri, Tachs, Luna, and of course Aidyn here. Each one rather gifted with their keyblades." Shinra explained. Motioning his hand once more, the man opened another tear in the air to lead back towards the castle. "I'll leave you with something to play with, see how well you can fend against it....with no weapon." The man said before disappearing through it. Viscus raised an eyebrow, wondering just what he meant but slowly something formed from some of the shadows cast off by the buildings around. The dark shadows rose to create the form of a boy before him, wielding a blade of its own. "Your kidding right?" Viscus stepped back, avoiding several swings it sent his way. The heartless often swerved from side to side, growing closer to attacking him. Looking over at Aidyn, Viscus shouted out to him. "Get this thing to back off or something.." one sky, one destiny. _________________ |

| { Leave me, but when you leave know nothing's lost }
Haylie's eyes opened slowly, her lids heavy, as if drugged. She groaned, her body twisting in an uncomfortable angle. After shifting so she was laying flat, arms and legs spread out, she opened her eyes with difficulty to notice the high-ceilings, decorated ornately with beautiful paintings and- wait. Painted ceilings? Haylie sat up upruptly, fighting the urge to fall asleep. The drowsiness disappeared, as if her will had broken a spell within her. Where was she? Standing up shakily, she took a few steps into the center of the room, her footsteps echoing on the marble floors. "Eli?" she asked hesitantly, afraid to awaken a dark force in her attempts to call the girl.
Holding her arms straight out, she closed her eyes, imagining the warm, pure light of the keyblade settling on her outstretched palms. When she opened her eyes, Memory's Essence appeared, landing lightly in her hands. Haylie gribbed its handle tightly, wandering up the staircase to a huge set of double doors. To each side of her were sets of smaller staircase. Which way to go? Was Eli even in this place, this world? What if the darkness had seperated the two girls? No, she wouldn't think of it. She was here. Haylie swung her keyblade in the air. "Where am I supposed to go?!" she gritted her teeth, frustrated. And as the blade's tip was pointed to her left, it began to glow. "Huh?" an expression of confusion crossed her face. Maybe it was telling her where to go. Haylie jogged up the steps and pushed the wooden door open. Another hallway. Figured. She sighed. Might as well.
What did she have to lose?

Aidyn fell into step on the other side of Viscus as they enter the World That Never Was. Oh, how the moon was so beautiful here. Sheathed in darkness lies the heart of the heartless. "So, don't have your blade yet? No problem. Those of the light think that only the purest of hearts can wield a keyblade..." Aidyn held out his hand, a deep purple cloud appearing over his palm, forming the shape of a black keyblade. "...they're wrong. Anyone with a strong heart wields one. That's what Shinra's here for. To teach you how to wield your own," he smiled maliciously, "to rule the worlds. Power stronger than anything you can imagine." He spun his keyblade, tossed it in the air, and caught it tightly without a glance away from Viscus. "This is Writhing Shade. Each keyblade of the dark, including my own, has an ability that no keyblade of the light has. Curious? Tell him, Shinra."
Shinra smiled, in the creepy kind of way he always did. He seemed polite, but it was clear that he wasn't a trustworthy figure. A shady stranger offering to satisfy the darkness in people's hearts.
"The ability to unlock people's hearts....and open them to the darkness."_________________ Recent Movies: Up ; What Happens In Vegas ; The Road To El Dorado ; The Haunting In Connecticut ; Donnie Darko (yes, again xD) |

| There are many worlds, but they share the same sky-
Lifting his arm up into the air beside him, his fingers motioned yet another rift in space to open up. The darkness seeped out from it, and one could only wonder where it led. The silver haired man named Shinra returned his attention to both girls, that smug smirk coating his lips. "I'm assuming you plan on attempting to save whats left of this world Eli?" The man inquired, but really it was more of a rhetorical question. Eli's face twisted into an expression of annoyance and anger at the man. Her eyes traveled over to Viscus who was turning on his feet to enter the opening made by Shinra. The blonde haired girl frowned, ashamed at herself for allowing another young heart to fall into darkness. "Your.....only going to lose the fight....in the end.....they'll take your heart from you....." She whispered, not to anyone in particular, but she had referred to the boy. Viscus stopped in his tracks, glancing back towards Haylie and Eli. Deep within his chest he felt slight remorse for leaving Haylie there, but she had made her choice and it was clear they both had different paths at that point. "We'll meet again.." The boy said, only to step through completely into the darkness. His eyes couldn't make anything out from that point on, but he soon felt the presence of both Shinra and Aidyn. "Where exactly are we going?" He questioned. "You'll see my boy." Shinra responded, leading the two boys up towards the light at the end of the darkness. "Its a little world I've come to enjoy..." He said. "And I don't believe you've summoned that blade of yours yet. Aidyn here may be able to help you with that." The older male said, turning towards the other boy. "A keyblade tends to reveal itself in time of danger of the wielder...." He explained, stepping out of the portal into the World That Never Was. The moment Aidyn had closed the distance between himself and her, Eli gripped Lantern Leak's hilt with every urge to swing it in the boy's direction. "Oh we'll be definately meeting again....Lantern leak's up to slice you in half..." She said bitterly, pulling away from the boy. Rolling her eyes she watched the other two disappear as well only to leave Haylie and herself there on the shattering world. Her gaze strayed over to the red head, and she gave a light shrug. "You get use to him....annoying little bastard really." her lips curved into a gentle smirk, but it quickly faded when she came to notice the dark spots forming below them. Stepping back, Eli leveled the keyblade once more as it gave off a glow. An amazed look touched her features when Haylie moved in first to attack. With each swing, the creature grew weaker until it collapsed leaving a dark pool beneath them. Eli knew exactly what was happening, and attempted to move but her feet sunk into the dark as well. "Don't let it take you! Let the light guide you Haylie! The darkness wont win...." Eli was soon cut off when her own body was pulled in. Lantern leak... she thought, extending her fingers out to try and summon the blade but all grew dark. The world had been consumed, and both girls were dropped just outside Beast's castle. Ooc: Lol I wasn't sure what world to toss them into, and beast's castle was the first one that came to mind. Oh and and i figured the evil group of keybladers main location was THe World that never was. one sky, one destiny. _________________ |

| {Leave me, but when you leave know nothing's lost }
Haylie gripped her keyblade tightly in her right palm, ready to attack. But as she was about to attempt a strike, a girl ran up beside her, her own keyblade at hand. Haylie wasn't too hesitant to trust her judgement; the light emanating from the girl's weapon was far too pure to be one of the dark. She turned her gaze back to the man named Shinra, the dark boy Aidyn, and of course, Viscus. He wouldn't leave her, would he? But as Shinra announced their departure, a black vortex of swirling darkness appeared behind him and Viscus stepped in with Shinra. Aidyn took a step forward to touch Eli's cheek. "Ah, Eli. So we meet again, and many more times in the future, I should hope. Try not to miss me too much, my dear. Same applies to you, lovely Haylie," and with his last words followed by a smirk, he disappeared as well.
"Yuck. If he wasn't so.....creepy and weird, he'd be a lot cuter. I hate guys like that. Anyway, so you already know my name. But I suppose introductions should be postponed..." she eyed the dark spots appearing on the ground. "They're coming." But 'they're' was the wrong word. The dark blotches spun together into a rather large circle and a giant creature grew from the center. He had merely a torso, head, and arms, his fingers long and crooked, head shaped like that of a juggler's hat. And he had a heart-shaped hole in the center of his chest. His eyes glowed golden. Haylie grabbed the handle of her Keyblade with both hands, bracing herself for attack.
As the creature leaned forward, Haylie charged, smacking his hand with her keyblade. It groaned and pulled back. Good. Doing damage. She was still getting used to the weight of her weapon, but using it felt...well, natural. Like she'd been using it all her life. Like she was meant to use it. Which, of course, she was.
"Memory's Essence!" Haylie exclaimed, the words having simply bursted from her mouth. She wasn't sure what they meant, or where they came from, but when her keyblade began to burn brightly, emanating light, she figured it was its name. The illuminated weapon blinded the creature, who was so obviously used to the dark. Haylie raced forward, thrusting the weapon through its forehead. The creature shattered into a million black pieces, like bits of glass. And as they fell, they disappeared. However, the shadow on the ground had not, and was easily grasping her legs, tendrils of deep purple snaking up, pulling her down. Her keyblade disappeared into thin air, and Haylie panicked to breathe. Taking one last look at Eli, she was sucked into the abyss.

The Heart…
A truly marvelous thing…
Wondrous and powerful… Yet…
Dangerous and mysterious…
There are many paths one’s heart can take them…
They can walk among the realm of light…
Where they are safe… protected by friends and allies…
Or they can walk within the darkness…
Where they walk alone… feared and corrupted…
Laying flat on her back after being thrown across the sandy beach by one of the larger heartless, the images around her became blurs, and sounds became nothing more than buzzing and echoes. Even then the only harmony she could hear was the continuous beating within her chest. Beat by beat her heart thumped, the adrenaline dying down within her system. Aquatic colored eyes slipped open and close from time to time. She could feel them growing closer, their small feet scratching against the earth with each step. Get up! a voice lingered at the far end of her thoughts, urging her to rise to her feet. Pathetic really.....can't even conjure up that ability Lantern Leak gives you..... the words etched into her mind. Then almost as if on cue, the girl's hand twitched and her fingers slowly curled around a hilt that didn't appear to be there. The blade itself materialized seconds later within her palm just as one of the many ant like creatures lunged at her. The translucent glass-like blade was lanced out with one hand firmly grasping its sharp crystal hilt, roughly tearing into another swarm of those darkened ant shaped creatures. Brilliant pink lights floated into the air possessing wisps that lossely formed a heart around them. Hearts of those that have been taken by the darkness. Extending the hand out that possessed no weapon, the earth crackled in warning before sharp pillars of crystals shot out forward to disperse yet another handful of heartless. Eli stepped back, lowering her hand in response the crystals retracted back into the earth.
Leveling Lantern Leak at her side, Eli's gaze shifted in every direction in attempts at locating the other keyblade wielder that had been activated within this world. "Come on Lantern Leak....where is she." Lifting the sharp end of the blade out ahead of her, Eli pointed it in different directions. Each time she turned it gave off a faint glow pinpointing which direction she was in.
Upon locating the other wielder, the girl maneuvered her way along the island while clearly trying her best to avoid the several different creatures of darkness. With gusts of winds pushing against her, and darkness creeping in every corner Eli was begining to regret coming to this world. It was falling, bit by bit and she knew there was no saving it now. Approaching the scene, her eyes traveled from the strong willed girl to the taller cloaked male, and then the two teenage boys. Don't tell me I'm too late.... she thought, remaining some distance away from the group. Having a firm grip on Lantern Leak's hilt, Eli dragged it across the earth as she walked forward. "Don't listen to him Haylie, he's nothing but trouble....." Eli said, bringing up Lantern leak. Her other hand shot out to bring forth several more crystal pillars from the earth in the direction of Aiden, Viscus and the silver haired man known as Shinra. Lifting his own gloved hand towards her, the older male sent a wave of darkness to shatter the pillars of crystals and send them back at Eli. "Stubborn girl aren't you Eli? Are you still working with that mouse you claim a king?" Shinra's lips curved into that grin that often decorated his face. The man held a sinister look to his features, then the aura that emitted from him. Dodging the shards that sliced through the air, Eli stepped over to Haylie.
Darkness coated the atmoshpere outside, followed by the heavy rainfall and roaring of thunder above. The boy pushed himself through the rain and gust of winds that worked against him. He failed to recognize the dark creatures that loomed about but none of them had come close to even attempting to snatch his heart. Viscus slipped past the door into the small shack, being cautious as he ventured up the stairs and towards the door. Once outside, he slowly approached the small isle up ahead. The air was coated with something. It felt heavy, thick and consuming. Yet this sensation brought about an adrenaline rush that Viscus had never held in the past. His eyes strayed to a figure clad in black that approached him. "You've only begun to taste what it feels like.....the incredible power its posseses....." The man said, circling the boy. "Let it enter your heart Viscus...." Shinra said, easily manipulating the boy. Viscus was silent, his heart indeed feeling the effects of the darkness circling him.
His attention was drawn away from the cloaked figure and back behind him towards a familiar face. Seeing Haylie step up only a few feet away, he worried for her. "What are you doing out here?" Viscus asked, gazing at the girl. Words were soon exchanged between the man known as Shinra and Haylie who refused the offer of cooperating with them on consuming the other worlds in darkness as well. Was her decision a wise one? Or was his? Perhaps something was a bit off about this whole idea, but being the adventurous and daring boy he was, Viscus wasn't about to pass up an oppurtunity.
No sooner though had another figure appeared, this time from a dark tear in space. Eyeing the other boy, Viscus narrowed his eyes slightly as Aidyn attempted to coax poor Haylie. "Leave her alone." Viscus spoke up, extending his hand out in some sort of attempt to summon a weapon but his own keyblade had failed to reveal itself yet. A hand was placed on his shoulder, "In due time your weapon will show itself..." Shinra assured, "We must soon take our leave, we have many other worlds to visit." the man informed.
Ooc: Lol shush, yes i know horrible post. XD but it shall get better as we go. Oh and I decided that their keyblades give them like some sort of ability/power. Eli's is able to manipulate crystals at her will, and Viscus I have yet to reveal lol. _________________

{ Leave me, but when you leave know nothing's lost. }
I woke shivering, shadows darting around my feet as I stood up, taking a step across the room to grasp the fabric of a jacket and slide my arms through. It was cold. So very cold. The darkness licked at my toes, threatening to consume me whole. They were teasing me. I could nearly hear them speak, soft whispers, frozen kisses. I ran outside, heart hammering. Do not trust them. They only speak lies.
I was met by a horrible storm. Thunder booming, lightning breaking the sky into pieces. A dark vortex swirled in the air above the small island where we'd sat upon the tree merely hours before. Me and my best friend. Where was he anyway? I rubbed my upper arms, crossed over my chest. Asleep? Not likely. He loved storms. I froze, could feel my fave drain of color. He wouldn't be...over there, would he? I slowly pulled my feet from their standing position in the sand, running awkwardly to the small shack with a flight of stairs within that would take me up to the bridge crossing to the small island.
However, I didn't make it far before the shadows flew past my ankles, chilling the skin underneath my jeans to the bone, even though they hadn't touched my skin. It was a violating feeling. Like they'd reached inside of my body. I cringed back, taking a fumbling step, nearly losing my balance in the white sand.
This wasn't happening. It was just a dream. I blinked, rubbed my eyes. But the sight before me didn't change a bit. The shadows were elongating, vertically. Becoming...something else. Something with arms and legs. And gold, glowing eyes. Goosebumps rose on my arms. The creatures didn't attack. In fact, they didn't take any movements towards me. They just stood, moving in small jerky movements. Like twitching. Suddenly, their gaze rose to the air above me, and I took a small glance up as well, curious as to their fascination. The air glowed brightly, emanating a warmth that filled me, flowed through my veins. It lowered until it was at chest level. My arms lifted as if by instinct, and the light dulled, revealing an odd-looking object. It was blue and pink...and I had absolutely no idea what in the world it could possibly be. But I did know that it was heavy enough to do some damage. So I charged the three shadows and swung, smacking one into the other two before sprinting to the shack.
I pulled the door shut behind me and headed slowly up the stairs, gripping the weapon tightly. Once at the top of the stairwell, I nudged the door open with my right shoe. It opened easily. I took tentative steps out before seeing my friend standing with his back in my direction, facing a taller, dark-clad man. My heart skipped a beat before finding a speedy beat. I ran, object held tightly, to attack. But as I approached, my friend grabbed my weapon, told me that the man was no threat. The man spoke, mischievous glint in his dark eyes. The smile wasn't a reassurance.
"Hello, dear Haylie. I see you've activated your Keyblade. Very impressive. But you can do so very much with your hidden power. There are worlds beyond your own, worlds begging for a new leader. Someone with power much like your own, and of course, your friend here. He has chosen to join me in my quest. To connect the worlds. Will you join as well?"
Squinting my eyes, I gave him a once-over with my own brown orbs. I didn't trust him. If I had this great power, why would I help him, of all people?
"So, world domination is what you're after? Count me out. I'm not power-hungry. And honestly, if I have this great gift, why should I use its light for darkness? I'm not evil." I glanced at my best friend, frown forming on my lips. I couldn't understand why he'd have given in. I'd heard that all hearts came from darkness, and some had a part that would always remain. But to agree to work with some shifty stranger?
The area behind the man shuddered, and a burst of black shadows appeared. A teenage boy stepped out, cocky smile playing on his lips. "New playthings?" he boy asked, tilting my chin up with a black-painted fingernail. I scowled and smacked his hand away. "Ooh, feisty. I like this one." The man shook his head. "Quiet, Aidyn. She has refused." The teen with the dark-rimmed eyes stepped towards me. "Why? Not up for the challenge? Afraid of the dark?" he teased. I stepped back, glaring daggers. "No. People like you disgust me. I'll never join the dark side. Not with you around. I'm not a toy for you to play with."
"Oh we'll see about that," he smirked.
[Well, that end was crappy I'm sorry. The beginning wasn't too bad though.]
{ Will you pause to break my heart? }
