Her footsteps were silent as she walked along the hallway. Her face to the ground and her mind filled with facts. ‘There is so much that needs to be done. With that traitor’s actions so far everything is pointing to war. Now that he has that object who knows what he’s doing to the hallows. There have been reports of large bursts of energy coming form the hallow lands. I’m not sure what is going on but it can not be good. It’s almost worrying. And the fact that he had been here for so long, means he knows everything. Unless we change everything, including training, security, methods…he’s at an advantage. And it would take years maybe even hundreds to change everything. And Yamamoto is not a fan of change…’ She thought and sighed.

She looked up her face blank and emotionless as always. Gold eyes dull and lifeless as she starred at nothing. ‘If we do go to war… There is nothing else to do but end it, right Tsukiko?’ She thought. Her blade shifted slightly, pulsating and she could feel the returning touch to her mind. Her lips twisted into a grimace of a smile. ‘Don’t worry. You’ll get the destruction you crave soon enough. Aizen will surely want blood shed sooner or later.’ She thought caressing the hilt slightly. The blade jerked then calmed, going back to being silent. She allowed the smile to fall, and stopped before the door. She blinked feeling their new Captions presence and sighed. ‘Looks like he’ll take car of it after all.’ She thought opening the door.

She nodded slightly to him as she spoke and took her position to the side. She looked over everyone there and couldn’t help but e disappointed. ‘Some decided not to show. Seems I’ll have something to do anyway. That a soldier would not come to their commanding officers call. Despicable…’ She thought the disgust showing on her face for a split second. ‘They need to know that Aizen was a push over. And for the purpose of gaining their loyalty and trust. Seems he did well. Even after showing his true colors, they still look up to him. This is not how Soul Society will be. Yamamoto wants it fixed. I’ll make sure its fixed, even if I have to beat the new rules in to ever one of them.’ She thought with a slight frown.

[Sorr. My next post will be better.]

Piercing silver hues slid open, staring directly up at the ceiling above him. How long had he slept this time? He felt alot better, though. Maybe his vice-captain, Yuzuki, had done as he asked by now. It wasnt that much of a task, just time consuming.
He slid himself from his bed and gripped the white haori that was carelessly tossed on the chair nearby. Captain Xepher, huh...?

-A Week Ago: Captain's Trial Examination-

"Ah? I guess I gotta fight you huh...?" the 11th squad's captain cracked a grin, tapping his sword against his shoulder slowly.
"Then come on! See if you can cut me!" he roared, suddenly swooping forward and raising his sword to strike. A millisecond passed. A second. A moment. It felt like an hour. Should I kill him? He wants to kill me.
His zanpakuto drew from the sheathe. Blood flew up into the air and in all directions, splattering the ground and the walls around. Zaraki gasped lightly, just able to stay on his feet.
"The hell kind of pissy attack was that!?" he boomed with a laugh.
"My katana has a rather strong ability... And it looks like you can stand level one. I wont hold back again, Zaraki."
Xepher's form started to glow, white reiatsu surrounding his form before shooting up into the air, breaking the very clouds overhead. Zaraki soon did the same, ripping his eye patch off his right eye so his reiatsu could go wild. His own gold reiatsu shot up into the air too, but slightly larger in portion to Xepher's.
"Hah! Looks like i'm stronger after all!" he grinned, rearing to strike again.
"Reiatsu... Is a means to fine tune attacks. Not an attack in itself. Just because you have stronger reiatsu than me, doesnt make you stronger." Xepher retained his blank expression, his silver hues simply staring into Zaraki's.
"Call to the wind, Shindou." his voice was clam and cool, as if he were completely confident. The ground suddenly broke up, rubble being thrown into the air as if it weighed nothing. A heavy quak suddenly began, rocking the very foundation of the buildings nearby. Everyone who was watching this suddenly had to find their footing, but Xepher remained completely still, as if he were glued to the ground. Zraki did so too, but only because his reiatsu's weight could sustain the ambience Xepher's zanpakutou gave off.
Xepher's zanpakutou hadnt changed, but he was holding it slightly differently. He was holding it with his left hand, rather than his right. The light jingle of the two bells colliding on the end of his hilt suddenly sounded. The groundshook again, more violently this time. Zaraki didnt have a chance to move this time. A sudden vibration came over his body before his blood was once again sent into the sky. Cuts appearing all across his form. He gave one lst chuckle, staring the captain down before collapsing to his knees. Then completely. Utter defeat. That's what happens when you match up a close combat with a long range.

-Back In The Present-

A low sigh escaped his lips as he pulled open the wooden door.
"Ah-! Captain Xepher!" the group of shinigami suddenly stood at attention.
He slowly slipped into the room and closed the door behind him. Not a moment later, it reopened to reveal the vice captain.
"Good timing." he spoke softly before turning back to the squad. Not everyone was here, but that was fine.
"I think it's time... We actually got proper introductions."

PostSubject: Re: The Caption and Lieutenant of the 5th. [Private]   Mon Nov 02, 2009 4:14 pm

The days had passed by fast. She was able to gain all the information easily. What with the bits and pieces she already knew, and the help from Squad 9, it was rather simple. She had only been needed a few times in the Squad’s area. And that was to fix the problem of the training program. Anyone giving her problems she sent straight to Yamamoto to be straightened out. Until she knew her Captions was fine and in perfect health she wasn’t going to make any actual decisions without him. And sending trouble makers to Yamamoto had been what all the Squads had been doing. What with a lot of Captions being sent to the World of the Living, with their Lieutenants following.

Things had been hectic, with others having to fill in. She was one of the fill inn’s because not only was she a Lieutenant and thus capable for almost any job. But her skills were wide ranged, that was why she had been given her position to begin with. Yamamoto had given her, her new position because she wasn’t in any shape or form ready to be a caption. And that was fine with her. She had been the runner, errand girl, and replacement in the Zero Squad of so long… She was just happy to be part of an actual Squad. And one that really needed help and discipline was a bonus.

Yuzuki glanced over all of the papers and folder she had laying on the desk. A Lieutenant’s job was to make the Captions job easier. She couldn’t help but think that her thoughts on him not being well were correct. He hadn’t shown back up, so she had been taking care of the paper work. Unless it was marked for the Caption only. She set them aside for when he returned. She checked over everything and nodded finding nothing was missing. Well except for the classified information she didn’t have clearance for. She nodded, and gathered it all up, straightening it when she froze. ‘

I don’t know where the Captions rooms are... and he never gave me permission…’ She frowned looking down at the files. ‘He did give me a dead line. So he will most likely come here to gather them. His other work as well.’ She thought standing and making her way over to his desk, and sitting it all down. She tilted her head trying to think of anything else she was to do. ‘That’s right. The new recruits. Basic Squad training is over. That means its time to give them a position, section, and additional training. Luckily that is the Lieutenants job. The caption will welcome them if he wishes, but it’s not needed.’ She nodded, and opened the door, sliding it closed behind her and making her way to the Squad 5 main room.

Yuzuki Setsuna, huh? A catchy name.
"Good. I look forward to catching up." he spoke with a silent sigh following after. He needed to rest. It had been a long week. He had already met the other captains in the meeting room, so he didnt have to go to any mandatory events or ceremonies. All that remained was for him to bulk p tis pathetic excuse for a squad and make it a formidible fighting force. Or anything, really. They didnt have any strengths. Only weaknesses, as far as he could tell. He would have to introduce some reiatsu-bending exercises to help better understand what they are good at. After all, you are assigned to a squad depending upon your abilities and personality. What exactly pulled these people together under one man? What ability did they possess?
"Yuzuki. Make sure that the man I injured gets to the 4th Squad's infirmory." he suddenly ordered, turning back away from her as he did so. He didnt enjoy fighting. It always made him tired. And others injured.
"...I'll be in my quarters."
He finally started down the hall again, his feet thumping softly against the wooden floor. A soft jingle emenated from his belt. It was a pair of bells attached to the end of his zanpakutou.

"Mm... I wonder what his zanpakutou does..." a long sigh of bordom slipped from the 8th squad captain's mouth. Shinsui had been wondering just who this Xepher was.
"I havent been able to pull up anything about him in the archives. But I only looked in the recent entries. He doesnt look that old." came a woman's voice behind him.
"Now now, Nanao... Hitsugaya looks like a child, but is really hundreds of years old... On that note, I wonder how old Yama is..." he glanced up at the sky through his straw hat with a small smirk.
"Should I look into them both for you then?" she sighed, lifting her glasses further up the ridge of her nose. Shinsui simply laughed quietly.

[Didnt know what else to write =P. We can both control the other people in the series, too. I dont mind who and what happens.]

She blinked when he finally turned to her. She couldn’t help that reaction. Something about him reminded her of Caption Yamamoto. Respect was demanded not given. And he was strong enough to go about things that way. It seems that the Squad would be getting exactly what it needed after all. Though she usually found it annoying when those haori floated like that, his movement just said power. This wasn't a normal Soul Reaper. And this was also her Caption. She was to make sure that he was listened to and his orders carried out. And she would do just that. She wasn't about to let anything happen like with the traitors. She nodded once she finally received orders. Though they weren't the long lasting and multi tasking she had thought it would give her something to do. ‘So he hasn’t been here either? Then again I wasn’t gone that long.’ She thought locking everything in mind. She would make sure everything went smooth, while they all tried to fix everything. And that would involve changeing how the 5th Squad use dto be run.

She nodded, bowing her head slightly. “Of course Caption Xepher.” She muttered. Already in mind she was going through everything. Events, graduates, promotions, the humans that had invaded here. She would need to do a visit would be need to the 9th Squad. They are the ones that keep those newspapers and events. That would also allow her to see if they had found anyone for that empty position as well. They always had intel on everything, and where the people to go to when informationwas needed. She looked up to him for a moment, when he spoke again. She couldn’t help but frown slightly when watching him. He almost seemed drained. And though it was her position to look after him… She knew that wouldn’t be happening. She would just have to follow orders.“Yuzuki Setsuna, Caption Xepher.” She said bowing her head again. “The reports shall be finished.” She stated.

[It's okay]

So things started off well. He managed to silence a strong voice that opposed him and show off a little of his power. Maybe now they respected him enough to stay quiet. Peace and quiet. A voice broke the silence that he came to adore.
"Captain Xepher..." at least she got his name right. "Orders are needed to proceed."
He turned slightly, glancing through his snow white hair into the very soul of the woman before him. His hues narrowed on her armband, which held the fifth squad's number on it. She was the vice-captain, it seemed.
He turned to her entirely, his haori flowing freely in the gentle breeze that stroked at his form.
"I want a full report on Soul Society's happenings since I left. I was in an advance party that was meant to protect a town in the world of the living. I left around 240 years ago." that was all he would tell her. He just told her the date of his departure to make it easier to do the report. This report though would probably take her a full day or two to accomplish. 240 years was a long time.
He glanced her over once more before slowly turning away. He was tired. He hadnt been up and around like this in some time. Not since his last Bankai usage. It drained his power, so he always needed a week or so off afterwards.
"I didnt catch your name." he spoke softly, his eyes staring into the ground almost intently.

[Sorry about the short post, need to go.]

The New Dawn Is Something…

She stood watching them enter blankly. She was annoyed that it wasn’t the caption, but only because she hadn’t been given any orders as of yet. Something Soifon and Yamamoto had taught her was you shouldn’t act without orders. And she had never been an emotional person to begin with. Her eyes landed on the ground in thought. ‘Just how much will change because of all of this?’ She wondered. ‘I wish I had been here to see everything happen, but I was in the world of the living at the time…’ She thought looking back up. Yuzuki watched the scene going on before her. 'Are you actually telling me that they still look up to Aizen? I can see what Yamamoto meant by control. If the council were alive they would have bee executed… I suppose I’ll have to think of a way to pick out those that need to be dealt with at another time...’ She thought leaning against the wall, with her arms crossed. She looked up as the door opened and frowned lightly. ‘Koori Xepher. While the name is familiar, I never have met him before. Hmmm, that means I have no information on him. But the same with no one having anything on me either… And now that I have finally been allowed into a squad…’

She couldn’t help but glare at the sight before her. ‘It’s an outrage! To think a subordinate would act like that to a superior officer!’ She thought. Tsukiko shook slightly at her side, and she rested her hand on it. ‘I’ll take care of that one another time. Seems he’s done enough for a first time meeting.’ She thought watching the last of the ruble fall to the ground. She couldn’t help but sigh in relief. ‘He’s not going to be like the last Aizen or the more eccentric Captions. This might work out after all.’ She nodded t herself slipping around the other members. She would deal with them once she got her orders. After all she would deal with things that weren’t the Captions time. She slid the door closed behind her and glanced down the hall to spot the 5th symbol. ‘I don’t shout…And I won’t run. He’ll probably know I followed him anyways.’ She straightened and turned to the caption taking a few steps toward him. “Caption Xepher. Orders are needed to proceed.” She said blandly, her eyes still listening to the commotion going on inside.

You Will Not See…

The wooden door slid to one side, a few squad members slowly filing into the room with various shouts of hellos and such. They didnt seem to really mind getting a new captain, but this was probably just a muse. They were ignoring it, maybe. They seemed to be doing okay, for a squad wihout its Captain, for awile. But times changed and so did people's minds. Maybe this new captain could gain their trust within the hour.
"Hey, what are we going to do about this new captain? I mean, could he even compare to-." a young squad member started.
"Dont say his name!" boomed one of the larger shinigami. "I dont care what anyone thinks... He wont compare to him."
"Oi... You cant say that so easilly. You never know. He may be really cool!"
"What are you nuts?"
The group of black-robed shinigami continued to rave, each shouting their own opinions into the air as though everyone else was but a wash of white noise. Light footsteps thumped down the wooden walkway, eventually coming closer and closer. Then, they stopped just before the sliding door which had just been shut by one of the younger squad members. A slender hand gripped the side of it's frame before pulling it open, a rush of sunlight washing in over the male's back and into the room.
Slowly, the captain stepped forward, his features now visible. Snow white hair cascaded about his face, falling around his silver orbs that peirced even the toughest hearts. A light scar beset the tops of his cheeks and over the ridge of his nose. His mouth was lined with a very apathetic expression.
His white haori lifted slightly with a coming breeze, the number printed clearly on his back. 5.
The shinigami did a double-take, gasping in surprise and disbelief mixed in. For some reason, most of them thought he would be some weakling. Why did they picture such an image of someone taking command? Who knew.
The captain took in the surroundings, allowing his pupils to narrow on the group before him.
"...I am Koori Xepher. Your new captain." His voice was mellow and sootheing, though had a certain dark aura about it. Not something dangerous, but something more along the lines of 'Dont-fuck-with-me'. He stood relatively tall at 6'2", his long katana sheathed at his belt.
"...Uh- Welcome to 5th squad, Captain Xepher!" stuttered one of the recruits. The man that stood next to him roared with laughter before pointing an imposing finger at he captain.
"Who the hell do you think you are, trying to invade our squad!? Some weakling like you could never step up to our captain's legacy. Now get out of here before I kill you myself!"
The captain gave a single passing glance at the rather large male before slowy raising a finger.
"Way of binding: 1. Restrain."
The shinigami's arms wrenched behind his own back and forced him to stumble forwards, booming a loud yelp of pain.
"Way of desctruction: 1. Thrust."
A sudden shockwave shot forward, slamming into the husky shinigami, forcing him to lift into the air before being sent soaring into the nearby wall, sent straight through the hardened wood.
Gasps of awe and shock ripped through the silence as the rubble calmed at the floor.
"He just blew him away with his finger!" the youngest squad member shouted.
The captain slowly let his hand return to his side before turning from the group.
"...I'm your new captain. Not your new comrade." his voice would send chills down the toughest of spines.
He stepped out of the room and started down the hall again, sighing to himself faintly.

Setsuna Yuzuki knelt before Yamamoto, her expression of slight shock hidden by her bent head. Her eyes were locked onto the cloth in her hand. “You are dismissed to meet your new caption and hopefully you two can bring order back to your squad, Lieutenant.” He said, and she could hear the annoyance in his voice. “Hai, Yamamoto-sama.” She said, standing from her position. She paused for a moment, causing him to blink and smile. “No, you only have to wear the normal uniform on missions or in meetings.” He said with a slight chuckle. She kept her face down so he didn’t see her embarrassment. “Of course.” She said bowing. Walking form the room she paused once the doors closed behind her. She sighed and glanced down at the cloth in her arm. The marking and symbol for the 5th squad lay on the gold plate. ‘I guess this means Momo’s still not awakened…’ she thought, pulling it up over her sleeve. She turned starting in the direction of the Squad’s main room. ‘I wonder at who was made Caption…’ she thought, her hand resting on her Zanpakuto. She walked along the walk ways and wondered if the Soul Society. She paused before the door and slid it open. She frowned not seeing any one. ‘They must not have got here yet…’ She thought stepping in and glancing around. ‘And to think that traitor used to stay I this very room…’ she thought with a slight frown. ‘Maybe it’s a good thing Momo’s sill out…’ She thought tilting her head. She could feel her sword as it tried to bring her from those thoughts. She smiled down at it patting it lightly. “Don’t worry, Tsukiko. I’m not going to lose myself in sorrow.” She muttered. She stood there waiting until the door finaly slid open once more.

[Sorry it's so short and bad. But I literally drew a blank.]
