Though she didn't know much she knew poison was not the best thing for a starter to try her luck with. "Maybe some bug or normal pokemon. I haven't dealt with the effects of poison yet and I don't remember the pokemon center being close to here." She says taking a few steps away from the poison pokemon. Rina looked around hard and finally spotted some Rattata in the distance. "How about those?" She asks wanting to avoid as much danger as possible. "It's that or we need a few antidotes for the poison pokemon." SHe says proudly. Rina was catching on quickly to the world of pokemon. It felt as if she had been here a long time a go and for some reason she knew the risk as well as the pluses to each pokemon. Though she had never seen one she instantly recognized the weedle and caterpies crawling around close to the trees and in the grass.

Rina just shrugged. "Everyone is different nothing to do about it." Was her answer to the favorite pokemon thing. She pulls out her pokedex and reads her pokemons' attacks. "Let's see. This one her knows tackle and tail whip, this one knows protect and tackle. Lastly my newest knows tackle and sand attack. Not bad if you ask me." She says. Taking another look at her pokedex she blushes slightly. It seems I looked over the fact Squirtle know bubble." She says trying to laugh it off. Looking at her Squirtle she can't help, but smile. "Someone got stronger." She says happily to her pokemon. Taking in the training tips she begins for a battle with whatever wild pokemon shows up next.

The answer was easy for her. "Water." She says in a matter of fact tone. "Why?" She asks not getting why Sly suddenly asked her what type of pokemon she liked. Following Sly's example she brought out her three pokemon. "Alright everyne let's get a good training session in before we move to the gym." She says smiling at her pokemon. It seemed that just by saying what she wanted fired her up. Rina becamed determined to train her pokemon and not catch anything else. "Sly, would I just battle like normal and not catch the pokemon?" She asks to be sure on what she is about to do. Her polemon began to get antsy just thinking about becoming stronger.

Rina just smiled. "Alright Squirtle let's get us that Pidgey!" She says pointing at the pokemon before her. "Squirtle use tackle." She orders. With that the wild pokemon gets mad and uses tackle on her Squirtle. The two pokemon take turns hitting each other until the Pidgey begins to look tired. "Squirtle once more." She says getting a pokeball out. As soon as the attck hits Rina throws her pokeball in hopes of catching a pokemon. The pokeball wiggles a lot, but settles down. Eina goes over to her pokeball and picks it up. "Good job Squirtle return." She says holding out her pokemon's pokeball. Lastly, she turns to Sly. "I did it!" She exclaims happily.

Rina nods. "I am, though I have a long way to go before then." She says a little embaressed, but determined. She also takes a mental note of what Sly had said about getting another pokemon. She then places her hand over her mouth. "Where are my manners. I'm Rina and this is Sly." She says pointing to the male. After sitting for a bit she gets up and stretches her legs. "Okay Squirtle let's go get us a pokemon." She says letting her pokemon out. She pats her pokemon on its head before heading further into the tall grass. "Come on Sly!" She says before going too far. Walking for a bit she comes across another pokemon. "Hey Sly I found something!" She says hoping he is close.

Rina nods and looks at her pokemon. "Okay Squirtle you heard him finish it tackle." She orders. Her squirtle takes the order and the Burmy falls. "Aright go pokeball." She say throwing the small ball that grows and sucks the pokemon into it. She watches ad the ball shakes twice then a red light appears in the center of the ball. "I... I did! Squirtle we got our first new pokemon!" SHe say rushing to pick up her pokemon. "Great job Squirtle you did it." She whispers before returning her pokemon. She then picks up her pokeball and smiles. "Thank you Sly." She say before sitting down on the grass.
