PostSubject: Avatar and the Curse of Shadows. ((Open//Mature.))   Fri Nov 06, 2009 2:50 pm

Long ago, during a time of peace, a large, rouge spirit ran wild. It threatend to devour the world and send it into eternal darkness.
The Avatar at the time fought this spirit every day in hopes of protecting and saving the world from this calamity. Nothing seemed to work.
After talking to a guru however, the Avatar decided to gather information about this spirit from it's origins, the Spirit World.
What he found there was a mystery, execpt, a way to destory this spirit. When the Avatar returned, he knew immediately what to do.
And so, the Avatar gave himself to the spirit and with his own energy, he bound the spirit back to the spirit world.

This tale is ancient. In the Human world, only one had documentation of this historical event but alas, he too left to return home to the spirit world. That was the Owl Spirit. Now, no one was left to remember how brave that Avatar had been to give his own life, or of the Spirit that vowed vengence.

Aang had been awake all that night, eyes staring up at the beautiful diamond filled sky above the Fire Nation. It was hard to believe that only a year ago he fought a Fire Lord and saved the world. The question now was, what to do now. He was staying in the Fire Nation with Fire Lord Zuko. There were still rebel factions here and there within the Fire Nation who wanted to see the world born in flames. But having friends all around the world, watching these rebels and arresting them for Zuko and Aang; even that wasn't much of a task. Soon the world would return to a peaceful, beautiful state. Right?

Aang sighed to himself and drew his legs closer to his chest. "Third night now." He muttered to the cool night air. It was three nights in a row he hadn't gotten any decent sleep. Images and voices filled his head when he closed his eyes. But yet he kept it to himself. He could not tell anyone what was wrong because he himself could not understand that problem. What was wrong? What were those visions he was seeing? All he knew; they were terrifying.

The only event he could truely identify was of all the oceans turned completely black with a strange energy emitting off its waves. In his dreams he would be standing on a white beach, highlighted by the silver glow of the moon above. The black waters would tear at the beach as if trying to capture Aang in a monsterous wave. The waves further out were terrible. They would come crashing down and make themselves appear to be the fangs of a monster and the sound was even worse; imagine titans raging war against themselves. But despite all of this, while Aang stood silently on that beach, he had a strange feeling to approach the waters. As he would take a step closer, his friends would appear behind him and tell him not to. Even Katara screamed at him to stay away from the waters; but he did not listen. With each step to close the gap between himself at the black tides, a figure became clear to see, wading knee deep and staring him down. After seeing the pair of orange blazing eyes amongst the darkness, all Aang could remember was a wave that crashed down around him, devouring him and sending him into total darkness.

That was his most potent dream. The others were like snips of another persons memory. They were much more difficult to grasp for Aang.

When Aang heard footsteps coming up the stairs that led to the rooftop he was perched on, he readied himself for some explination.

"Hello? Who's up here?" Came a guards voice as he appeared through a doorway. He wasn't heavily armed but still wore armor nonetheless. His eyes scoped the rooftop but his body froze when he saw who it was. "Oh, I'm sorry to interupt, Avatar." He bowed respectfully to Aang.

Aang would not face him however. Instead he kept his eyes turned to the night sky. "No, don't worry about it." Aang said calmly.

"I was actually looking for Fire Lord Zuko and you." With this the guard became clammy but had recieved Aangs attention. He stood erect but clearly nervous. "We have just arrested several rebels who were scouting around by the beach. However, we wouldn't have noticed them if a fight hadn't broken out.

"What? What do you mean?? They were fighting amongst themselves?" Inquired Aang, now fully interested.

"That's what we thought after we found them but... We're not entirely sure. It was a group of rebels against one girl. I-...I have never seen anything like her fighting style either..."

"Go find Zuko and tell him to come. I want to see this and I'm sure he will too." With that, Aang jumped off the side of the house, landing in the middle of the street below. He heard a scattered sound above; the guard was racing now to find Zuko. The Avatar had a funny feeling about this but didn't know why. He had to see for himself.

---

He arrived at the prision cells where the girl was being held for questioning, along with two rebel soliders. A Fire Nation guard greeted Aang and lead him through the building.

"You said there were only two rebels left?" Questioned Aang as they stood outside a door, guarded by two men. "Wasn't there any more?"

"Unforunately...They were killed before we arrived at the scene." The guard who was escorting Aang became nervous, just like the previous guard, then pointed Aang toward the door. Aang gave him a puzzled look before he said, "Just look for yourself."

Aang walked curiously over to the door and opened the peek hole. He stared in but was surprised to see two eyes staring directly back. What was worse...they were blazing orange. Aang took a deep breath and backed away. It was a girl, about the same age as Katara now, but had the eyes of the figure from his frightening dreams. What was going on...

((ooc: Okay this is my little Avatar Thread! Yay!! Open to anyone as long as you don't one line! I understand brainfarts however, just not all the time! But okay, the deal is, that Spirit from the begining of the story is going to return to wreak havoc on the world once more. Aang is still in love with Katara and she returns the feelings ((So if someone wants to play Katara that's fine)). Also, I would like if someone could play Zuko as well. I was kind've hoping Zuko could maybe start liking my Character ((The girl with orange eyes)) before Aang starts trusting her. And that might mean Zuko and Miss Downer aren't together. I don't like that couple lol. I can play Sokka if need be also! P.S. - Later on you may bring in your own Original Character, but for now I need Zuko, Katara and Toph ((But I can play her too.)) Mature for future reasons.
Any questions please just ask!! DUNKA))
